아동이 지각한 부모권위와 보모양육행동과의 관계 (Children's perception of Parental Authority and Parental Child-Rearing Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the parental authority and the parental child-rearing behavior. The subjects of this study were 380 children from an elementary school in SEOUL. Statistical analysis of the data was by MANOVA, the simutaneous confidence interval. The results were as follows : 1) There were sex differences on children's perception of parental authority. 2) There was no differences between the sex on children's perception of parental child-rearing behavior. 3) There were relationships on children's perception of parental authority and parental child-rearing behavior.

어머니 양육행동의 관련변인에 대한 구조분석 (Structural Equational Modeling for Mother's Child-Bearing Behavior)

  • The present study investigated causal relationship between child's temperament, mother's parental satisfaction, mother's marital satisfaction and mother's child-rearing behavior according to child's sex. The subjects for this study were 473 children and their's mothers of first-second grade selected from elementary schools in Busan. Han's questionnaires(1996) on child's temperament, Hyun's questionnaires(1994) on parental satisfaction, Choi's questionnaires(1994) on marital satisfaction and Hong's questionnaires(1996) on mother's child-rearing behavior were used. Data were analyzed with Manova, Pearson's correlation, Lisrel 8.5. The results were as follows : (1) According to sex, there were significant differences in mother's marital satisfaction and child-rearing behavior. The mothers of girls showed higher marital satisfaction. And boys perceived higher limit-setting and higher responsiveness. (2) For boys, mother's parental satisfaction and marital satisfaction revealed direct effect on mother's child rearing behavior. For girls, tempeament and parental satisfaction revealed direct effect on mother's child rearing behavior.

부모의 양육행동에 따른 청소년의 성격 특성이 가출행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parental Child-rearing Behavior upon Adolescents with Personality Traits and Runaway Behavior)

  • This study was designed to look at the relationships between parental child-rearing behavior and personality traits and run-away behavior of youths. For the purpose, this study compared 156 youth from the juvenile correctional systems, and 146 youths from high-schools. The additional focus was to find personality differences between runway youths and non-runway youths, and the effects of parental child-rearing behavior. The findings were as follows; First, high caring and low overprotection, among parental child-rearing behavior, was found to have effects upon adolescents with positive personality factors, whereas parental low caring and high overprotection effected upon negative personality factors among youths. Second, in relationship between runaway behavior and personality factors, it was found that youths with positive meaning in personality factors turned out to be less likely to run away from home, whereas those with negative meaning in 16PF were more likely to run away. Lastly, adolescents in high caring and low overprotection state with parents, proved to have high scores in personality factors, and low probability in runaway behavior.

  • 본 연구는 현대사회의 부모양육행동은 사회문화적 환경의 시대적 변화를 반영하여 변화되어야 한다는 연구의 필요성에 근거하여 시도되었다. 따라서 기존의 부모양육행동과 비고츠키의 사회구성주의적 아동발달 관점에서의 양육행동을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 근접발달단계에 있는 아동들의 성장과 발달을 촉진할 수 있는 사회구성주의적 부모양육행동을 분석하여 양육행동의 핵심요인으로 비고츠키 이론의 핵심요인을 탐색하였다. 연구방법으로는 비고츠키 이론을 중심으로 한 연구들을 분석하여 요인을 추출한 후 비고츠키 이론에 관한 전문가 3명의 타당화 작업을 통하여 내용타당성을 확인하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 사회적 상호작용에서의 협력적 상호작용 요인 둘째, 사회적 구성행동에서의 내면화 강조 요인 셋째, 근접발달영역에서의 잠재성 계발 요인 넷째, 중재적 매개체로서의 교육적 대화 요인 다섯째, 스캐폴딩(scaffolding)으로서의 조력설정 요인이 추출되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 부모양육행동의 새로운 패러다임으로써, 사회구성주의적 부모양육행동 척도를 개발하는데 새로운 시도를 마련했다는 점에서 연구의 큰 의의를 갖는다.

The effect of parental rearing behavior on self-esteem and gender role Stereotypes in Adolescents: Mediating effect of self-esteem -The use of Latent Growth Model-

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate about the effects of parental rearing behavior on self-esteem and gender role stereotype during adolescence and to reveal the mediating effect of self-esteem on adolescents' gender role strerotype. Also investigated the relationship among these variables and condition variables. For this purpose, used the Second Grade longitudianl Panel data of Middle School from the Korea Youth Panel Survay(KYPS). And the latent growth model was analyzed 3,449 men and women adolescents' cases of the first, the fourth and the sixth wave of the Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS) administered by Korea Institute for Youth development. And the structural equation model was used to investigate whether self-esteem mediates parental rearing behavior and male and female gender role Strerotype. The results of this study, the direct effect between variable factors showed that the more positive the parenting behavior of the second grader of middle school is, the more positive the self-esteem of male adolescents and the initial value of stereotypes of male gender role. It also affects the self-esteem of female adolescents and stereotypes of female gender roles but not statistically significant. The male gender role stereotypes were decreased in influence by the rate of change of parental rearing behaviors, and the initial value and the rate of change of self-esteem were statistically influenced to the male gender role stereotypes and the higher the self-esteem, the higher the self-esteem. However, there was no significant effect on stereotypes of female gender roles. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect of self-esteem, partially mediated between the initial value of parental rearing behavior and initial stereotype of male gender role, but there was no longitudinal mediation effect. There was no mediating effect of self-esteem between parental rearing behaviors and stereotypes of female gender roles and there was no longitudinal mediation effect. The effect of condition variable gender was found that female adolescents are more affected by paretal rearing behavior than male adolescents and also affected by the growth process. The monthly income of households influenced the initial value of parental rearing behaviors and showed a difference in parental rearing behavior according to household income. And the higher the mother 's educational level, the more the self-esteem of male adolescents was affected.

  • 본 연구는 아버지의 직업 역할 만족도, 부모 역할 만족도, 양육행동 간의 관계를 비롯하여, 아버지의 부모역할 만족도가 직업 역할 만족도와 양육행동 간의 관계에서 매개적 역할을 하는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울 및 경기도에 소재한 어린이집 중 임의로 선정한 6곳의 어린이 집에 다니는 만 3-5세의 자녀를 둔 376명의 아버지를 대상으로 실시하였다. 아버지의 양육행동, 직업 역할 만족도, 부모 역할 만족도 척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 직업 역할 만족도가 양육행동에 미치는 영향, 아버지 부모 역할 만족도가 양육행동에 미치는 영향, 아버지 직업 역할 만족도가 부모 역할 만족도와 부모 역할 만족도가 양육행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 직업역할 만족도가 부모 역할 만족도에 영향을 주어 양육행동에도 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다.

중학생이 지각한 부모의 학대와 자녀의 부적응 (Parental Abuse and Maladjustment Perceived by Middle School Student)

  • This study investigated the relationship between parental abuse and maladjustment per ceived by middle school student. The subjects were 448 middle school students in Kwangju. The main results of this study were as follows ; 1. There were found significant differences according to background variables in parental abuse and maladjustment. Physical abuse was found significantly different according to gender of the child and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, but emotional abuse was found significantly different according to job of the father and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents. And, neglect was found significantly different according to educational level of the father and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents. Social withdrawal was found significantly cliff erent according to gender of the child, family income and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, but hyperactivity was found significantly different according to gender of the child and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents. Agression and retreat were found significantly different according to gender of the child and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents. Obsessive-compulsion was found significantly different according to unreasonable_ rearing behavior of the parents. 2.There were significantly positive correlation between parental abuse and maladjustment. 3. The findings of multiple regression analysis demonstrated that neglect, physical abuse, family income, gender of child were found to be important variables in predicting social with drawal. Neglect, unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, phsical abuse, gender of child were found to be important variables in predicting hyperactivity. Neglect, emotional abuse, and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be important varialbes in predicting aggression. Gender of the child. emotional abuse, and unreasonable reanng behavior. of the parents were found to be important variables in predicting retreat. And, unreasonable rearlng behavior of the parents. neglect. and physical abuse were f ouod to be Importan variabJes in predicting obsessive-compulsion.lsion.

청소년 자녀가 경험하는 부모의 학대 유형과 부적응 행동 (The Types of Parental Abuse and Maladjustmental Behaviors Experienced by Adolescents)

  • This study investigated the relationship between the types of parental abuse and maladjustmental behaviors of adolescents. The subjects were 448 junior and senior middle school students. Statistics were frequencies, percentile, Pearson's r-coefficient, and regression analysis. The main results of this study were as follows ; 1. There were significantly positive correlation between the types of parental abuse and maladjustmental behaviors. 2. The variables, neglect, unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, and physical abuse were found to be the important variables in predicting social withdrawal. Neglect, unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents, and sex of the child were found to be the important variables in predicting hyperactivity. Neglect, emotional abuse, and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be the important variables in predicting aggression. Sex of the child, emotional abuse, and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be the important variables in predicting retreat. And, neglect and unreasonable rearing behavior of the parents were found to be important variables in predicting obsessive-compulsion.

가정환경요인이 영재아의 성취에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Family Factors on Achievement of the Gifted Children)

  • By targeting 113 gifted underachievers and 128 gifted achievers from 17 elementary schools, this study examines the home variables that affect gifted children's underachievement. In an effort to determine home variables of gifted achievers and underachievers, their homes' socio-economic status was analyzed and their parental child-rearing behavior was examined. First, the home environments of the gifted achievers and underachievers were compared, with the finding that their homes' socio-economic status, parental child-rearing behavior and other home factors differed. Parents of gifted achievers raised their children in a rational and democratic manner, while those of gifted underachievers tended to raise their children in an irrational and authoritarian manner. Second, discrimination analysis was conducted using home variables that showed a statistically significant difference, indicating that their homes' socio-economic status showed a low discrimination compared with their parental child-rearing behavior. Likewise, among the family factors, active involvement had the greatest effect on the underachievement of gifted children.

4-5세 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육신념과 양육행동의 관계 (The relationship between mothers' parental beliefs and their child-rearing behaviors)

  • The study is to investigate mothers' parental beliefs about child development and the children's developmental tasks, and to explore the relationship between mother's parental beliefs and child-rearing behaviors. The subjects are 113 pairs of 4- to 5-year-old children and their mothers. For measuring maternal beliefs about child-development, 'beliefs about development scale' and 'child-rearing beliefs scales' were used. For mother's child-rearing behaviors, 'child rearing behavior observation scale' was used. The main results were: first, mothers value the cognitive theory and 'autonomous behavior' higher than 'conforming behavior' in developing their children. Second, there were no differences in mother's parenting beliefs in the factors of 'gender of their children' and 'maternal job status', while there were significant differences in maternal beliefs according to the levels of mother's education and family income. Third, sub-scales of their parenting beliefs were correlated with interactive behaviors between them and their children. The more mothers put importance on cognitive theory and children's autonomous behaviors, the more their supportive child-rearing behaviors during child-mother task solving situations were showed.
