섭식 문제 행동에 대한 효과적인 행동전략 (Effective Behavioral Strategies for Pediatric Feeding Problems)

  • 조사에 의하면 정상적으로 발달하는 유아 아동의 25%~40%정도가 발달의 어떤 단계에서 섭식에 문제를 보일 수 있다고 한다. 많은 경우에 특별한 전문가적 도움없이 발달 과정을 거치면서 문제가 저절로 해결되는 경우도 있으나, 그 중 일부는 성장과 발달 및 가족 생활에 큰 스트레스가 될 정도의 섭식문제를 보이며 심한 경우 그 문제가 오랫동안 지속될 수 있다. 섭식문제는 섭식 그 자체의 문제뿐 아니라 음식거부를 위한 다양한 문제행동을 수반하게 되는데, 기존의 연구 결과는 행동수정의 한 형태인 응용행동분석이 가장 효과적인 치료법이라 보고한다. 문제가 극심한 경우엔 다학제적 팀으로 구성된 전문적인 치료가 필수적이나, 중경도의 문제는 그 종류에 따라서 부모교육을 통해 해결될 수 있기도 하다. 섭식 치료에는 문제를 규명하는 평가 절차가 가장 먼저 선행되어야 하며, 이를 근간으로한 치료책을 개발하고 적용할 때 가장 효과적인 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 치료는 보이는 문제 유형에 따라 달라져야 하는데, 유아 아동들이 가장 빈번하게 보이는 섭식문제 종류와 그에 적절한 구체적인 방법들을 제시하였다. 마지막으로, 부모교육을 통해 유아 아동의 섭식문제를 다룰 때 전문가들이 고려해 주어야 하는 사항들에 대해서 열거해 보았다.

디지털 시대 부모 - 자녀관계가 청소년의 인터넷 과다사용에 미치는 영향 (A study on parent-children relation influences on Internet excess utility of adolescent in Digital period)

  • 본 연구는 부모-자녀 관계가 청소년들의 인터넷 사용에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 부모 자녀관계를 폭력과 방임에 따라 구분하고 인터넷과다사용은 일상생활 문제, 계획한 일을 실행못함, 과다사용, 타인과의 갈등관계 등을 포함하여 일반군, 잠재적위험군, 고위험군으로 구분하였다. 연구 결과, 폭력적이고 방임적인 부모관계에서 잠재적 위험군, 고위험청소년이 높게 나타났고 이는 부모 자녀관계가 청소년들의 인터넷 사용에 영향이 있음을 시사한다. 청소년들의 인터넷사용을 줄이고 중독으로 진행되지 않게 하기 위해서는 부모의 역할이 중요하며, 청소년들의 발달단계를 세심하게 이해해야 한다. 또한 인터넷에 몰입하는 청소년들에게 여가문화를 즐길 수 있는 놀이프로그램, 체험프로그램의 개발과 보급이 요구된다. 또한 인터넷 중독 전문인력 양성과 지원으로 문제가 발생한 청소년들에게 일회성이 아닌 지속적인 상담과 치료가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Breeding of Bivoltine Breeds of Bombyx mori L Suitable for Variable Climatic Conditions of the Tropics

  • The success of rearing with presently available conventional bivoltine is unpredictable in some seasons of the tropical regions due to highly fluctuating adverse climatic conditions. Thus, in order to popularize bivoltine breeds in tropical parts of India, it is very much essential to have a bivoltine breed(s), which can give stable cocoon crop under variable environments. With this objective a breeding programme was undertaken to improve the survival trait in bivoltine silkworm by introducing multivoltine genes into bivoltine through back crossing. Resultant bivoltine lines showed significantly higher survival in compared to the receptor (Bivoltine) parent and control bivoltine breed. Esterase isozyme analysis revealed similar banding pattern in the developed bivoltine and in the donor multivoltine, which predicts the introgression of multivoltine character into evolved bivoltine.

  • Objectives: Children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) often have difficulties in social behavior. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a short-term training program for improving social skills, self-perception and attention deficits. Methods: The subjects were nine children diagnosed with ADHD with(or without) other mental disorders using the Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children(DISC-ADHD) module. Children were given eight sessions of a social skills training program. Parents of children simultaneously participated in their own training which was designed to support their children's generalization of skills. Assessments included child, parent and teacher ratings of social skills, self-perception and attention deficit at baseline and post-treatment. Results: Social skills training led to significant improvements in child-reported measures of self-esteem, in teacher reported measures of social skills, and in parent-reported measures of attention deficit. Conclusion: This study suggests that short-term social skills training programs for children with ADHD may improve their social skills, self-perception and attention deficits.

Induction of Non-Diapause Eggs and Manifestation of Quantitative Characters by Low Temperature Incubation of Eggs in the Silkworm, Bombyx mori L.

  • Induction of non-diapause eggs and manifestation of quantitative characters were studied in different seasons by low temperature incubation of eggs of a low yielding diapause with coloured cocoons silkworm breed, RDI of Bombyx mori. Hundred percent of nandiapause eggs were induced when the egg incubation was carried out at 15$^{\circ}C$ followed by incubation initially at $25^{\circ}C$ and then at $15^{\circ}C$. The diapause-nondia-pause relation was found to be reversible. Analysis of variance study demonstrated significant variation in all the quantitative characters whereas significant variation due to different incubation treatments was observed for larval span, fifth instar larval span, cocoon yield/10,000 larvae by weight, cocoon weight, cocoon shell weight, and cocoon shell ratio. study on hybrid vigour skewed significant heterosis over mid parent value for four economic characters viz., cocoon weight, cocoon shell weight, cocoon shell ratio and filament length in a Fl hybrid between RD1 with diapause eggs and Japanese type bivoltine $NB_{4} D_{2}$.

유아교육기관의 환경보전 부모교육프로그램 효과연구 (The Effectiveness of a Child-Care Centers' Based Parent Education Program on Environmental Preservation)

  • Training for mothers and children first included information on water, ground, and air pollution, saving energy, and reducing trash. In the second phase, the family followed steps outlined in an environmental preservation guidebook. The experiment was of 16 weeks duration, conducted with 120 subjects, comprised of sixty 4-year-old children and their mothers. Measures included environmental preservation knowledge and the actual practice of environmental preservation on the part of the subjects. Mothers performed self-evaluations while teachers measured the children. SPSS was used for data collection and analysis. The results of this study indicate that the program increased perceptions on environmental preservation and the actual practice of the experimental group. The program application also resulted in meaningful co-relationships between perceptions and practice and between mothers and their children.

유치원생 어머니에 대한 P.E.T. 부모교육 프로그램의 효과 (The Effect of P.E.T. Program for Kindergarten Mothers)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of Gordon's Parent Effectiveness Training on maternal attitude and communication skill. the subjects were 56 mothers from a kindergarten in Seoul. 30 mothers were assigned to the control group and 26 mothers to the experimental group. Pre and post measures on the two dependent variables using Hereford's Parent Attitude Survey and Umstot's Sensitivity To Children Questionaire were administered to the subjects on the first and last of the 8 week pp.E.T. course. The collected data was statistically analyzed by using t-test and paried t-test. The result showed no significant difference between the control and the experimental groups in changing the mothers' attitude. But significant differences in communication skill were found.

약물치료 중인 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동 청소년에서 작업기억훈련이 행동문제와 부모 스트레스에 미치는 부가적 효과 (Augmentative Effects of Working Memory Training on Behavioral Problems and Parental Stress in Medicated Children and Adolescents with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

  • Objectives: Executive dysfunctions including working memory deficit have been suggested to be one of the major neuropsychological etiologies of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The purpose of this study was to investigate the augmentative effects of working memory training on the behavioral problems, quality of life, and parental stress of medicated children with ADHD. Methods: Twenty-five children with ADHD, aged 9 to 19 years, who were being treated with ADHD medication, were included. The participants were trained with a commercially available and computerized working memory program ($Cogmed^{(R)}$) for 5 weeks without any alteration of their medication. The Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), KIDSCREEN-52 quality of life measure, and Parenting Stress Index-Short Form (PSI-SF) were administered before training, and 4 weeks and 7 months after training, respectively. Results: After completing the training, the anxiety/depression, social problems, thought problems, attention problems, aggressive behavior, and externalizing problems scores in the CBCL were significantly reduced. The score on the Parent-child dysfunctional interaction in the PSI-SF was also decreased. However, the scores related to the quality of life were not changed. These changes were still observed 7 months after the training. Conclusion: Cogmed working memory training can be a promising training option for the additional improvement of behavioral problems and parental stress in medicated children with ADHD.

발달장애 문제행동 치료 가이드라인 제작을 위한 다학제적 접근 (Multidisciplinary Approaches in Developing Guideline for Mediating Behavioral Problems in Children and Adolescents with Neurodevelopmental Disorders)

  • Objectives To initiate and develop a treatment guideline in multidisciplinary approaches for related professions who are either working and/or living with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders who show behavioral problems. Methods To collect and reflect opinions from multiple professions who assumedly have different interventions or mediations on behavioral problems, a self-report survey and Focus Group Interview (FGI) were conducted for a group of child and adolescent psychiatrists, behavioral therapists, special education teachers, social welfare workers, and caregivers. Results According to a self-report survey and FGI results from multiple professional groups, aggressive behavior is the mostly common behavioral problem necessitating urgent interventions. However, both mainly used intervention strategies and effective treatment methods were different depending on professional backgrounds, such as pharmacological treatment, parent training, and behavior therapy, even though they shared an importance of improving communication skills. In addition, there was a common understanding of necessity to include parent training in a guideline. Lastly the data suggested lack of proper treatment facilities, qualified behavior therapists, and lack of standardized treatment guideline in the field needed to be improved for a quality of current therapeutic services. Conclusion It is supported that several subjects should be included in the guidelines, such as how to deal with aggressive behavior, parent training, and biological aspects of neurodevelopmental disorders. Also, it is expected that publishing the guideline would be helpful to above multiple professions as it is investigated that there are lack of treatment facility and qualified behavioral therapists compared to need at the moment.

다문화 가정의 부모관계 및 학교 적응에 관한 연구 (Study of Multicultural Children's parent-child relationship quality and School Adjustment)

  • 본 연구는 다문화가정 아동의 부모-자녀 관계의 질과 학교적응을 이해하기 위해 일반가정 아동과의 차이를 비교하고, 부모-자녀관계의 질이 학교적응에 영향을 미치는지를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 내에 초등학교에 재학 중이면서 기본적인 의사소통이 가능한 5-6학년 다문화가정 학생과 일반학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 다문화가정 학생의 집단이 다른 집단에 비해 아버지-자녀 관계의 질이 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 다문화교육에서 아버지의 역할 등 다문화가정 학생의 아버지에 대한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 부모-자녀의 관계의 질이 다문화가정 학생의 학교적응에 유의하게 영향을 미친 것으로 보아 다문화가정 학생의 부모를 대상으로 학생 교육에 있어 실질적으로 도움을 줄 수 있는 다양한 교육프로그램이 제공된다면 다문화가정 학생들의 학교적응력이 더욱 향상될 것으로 판단된다.
