  • The interaction between people and sound and the way how people consciously perceive their environment are central approach to soundscape research. In this respect, this paper aims to clarify the relationship between water-sound level and recognition region in urban area. As a passive soundscape facility, fountain is a useful way to give place such as public square, park identity and vitality. In this study, to know the optimistic distance and sound level range from fountain, sound levels due to distance were measured and subject responses were checked by questionnaire. As a result, levels from 63 dB to 67 dB were recommended by subjects and moving forward to fountain less satisfactory than backward. Moving forward 5 m and backward 5 m(total range 10 m): there was a difference in satisfaction ratio by 2,5 out of 10. The results of this study could be used for street furniture location design and P.A. system output level.

  • The purpose of this paper is to clarify the introduction of foreigner's architectural engineering such as building materials techniques engineers, focused on the Late Yi-dynasty. Such all kind of building materials as timber brick tile cement lime glass window furniture and so on was imported from the foreign company in opening period of ports in Cho-son. The timer of these materials was imported from Japan, the brick tile from China, and others directly from Western counteries indirectly from Japan China. As it was active in an inflow of building materials and machines about 1890's, the modern building techniques were introduced and elementarily mastered such as timber sewing, manufacturing baking of brick glass, and masonry, The above modern techniques became the direct background in the formation of Korean modern architecture. Building engineers can be divided into three classes : architect engineer apprentice. But It could be apparently not divided the relation between architect and engineer at that time. They could be classified into job-architects who were engaged by the Korean government and leaded an active life in their settlement, and missonaries, They introduced the construction and style of modern architecture in our country, And so many skilled laborers and laborers participated in the construction of their settlement.

  • Mobile Virtual Reality Head Mount Displays such as Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR are being released, as well as PC-based VR HMDs such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. However, when the user wears HMD, it hides the external view of the user. Therefore, it may happen that the user is struck by the surrounding objects such as furniture, and there is no definite solution to this problem. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the risk of injuries by visualizing the location and information of obstacles scanned by using a RGB-D camera.

  • Recently, public interest in housing defects, such as construction errors, occupiers' complaints, faults in production, and so on, is increasing. In addition, the construction requirements of high-rise residential buildings have increased, due to the higher prices of urban areas, especially in metropolitan areas. While previous research has focused on the defects occurring in apartment housing complexes, research has not been carried out on the defects occurring in high-rise residential buildings. In this paper, the defects patterns and characteristics of high-rise residential buildings are examined and analyzed and a defect management plan is then suggested. In order to do this, we collected the defects data of high-rise residential buildings recorded by 2,299 of 2,327 occupants. The defect occurrence rate (DOR) in the residential area is 98.8%. The frequency rate of defect occurrence over the total defect occurrence since building completion is 63.28% during the first year, 24.63% (second year), 6.88% (third year), 2.27% (fourth year), and 2.53% (fifth year). The result of correlation analysis between work types showed that there is a relationship between the built-in furniture and electronics (F&E) and painting works, and the F&E and masonry works, such as marble finishing. We expect that this research will assist in the efforts to decrease the number of defects in high-rise buildings.

  • According to flow of energy, the loss occurs through walls, roofs, windows and so on. Among these case, most of the loss that is about 45% occurs through windows. windows's U-value is six times higher than wall's one according to Building code, so the loss through windows accounts for very much rates. Currently, Exterior wall's U-value about building envelope is 0.35~0.58W/ mK, but windows's one is 3.3W/ mK. It means that the loss through windows occupy very much amounts relatively. Therefore, the solution is required to reduce energy loss and increasing displeasure caused by excessive influx of solar energy through windows, to solve the problems Like decoloration on indoor furniture an clothes by harmful ultraviolet rays, air conditioning and increased cost. Therefore, on this paper, Thermal Performance was evaluated through actual test about high insulation Super Window which can improve thermal performance and the Simulation result was compared with actual resul by using Simulation program WINDOW and THERM.

  • In this paper, I review evidence on changing global specialization in labor-intensive exporting. Production of apparel, footwear, furniture, and related products are how many low-income countries first enter export manufacturing. Just as China's rise as a powerhouse in these goods supplanted a role previously occupied by the East Asian Tigers, the world may again be on the cusp of significant change in where labor-intensive goods are produced. China's prowess in these sectors peaked in the early 2010s; its share in their global exports, while still substantial, is now in decline. Mechanisms through which the global economy may adjust to China's graduation into more technologically sophisticated activities include expanded labor-intensive export production in other emerging economies and labor-saving technological change in products currently heavily reliant on less-educated labor. Available evidence suggests that the first mechanism is operating slowly and the second hardly at all. As a third mechanism, China may in part replace itself by moving labor-heavy factories out of densely populated and expensive coastal cities and into the country's interior. Such a transition, though still in its infancy, would mirror the decentralization of manufacturing production in the U.S. and Europe, which occurred after World War II.

  • In this paper, the purpose is to create a standard of AI training dataset type for commercial space design. As the market size of the field of space design continues to increase and the time spent increases indoors after COVID-19, interest in space is expanding throughout society. In addition, more and more consumers are getting used to the digital environment. Therefore, If you identify trends and preemptively propose the atmosphere and specifications that customers require quickly and easily, you can increase customer trust and conduct effective sales. As for the data set type, commercial districts were divided into a total of 8 categories, and images that could be processed were derived by refining 4,009,30MB JPG format images collected through web crawling. Then, by performing bounding and labeling operations, we developed a 'Dataset for AI Training' of 3,356 commercial space image data in CSV format with a size of 2.08MB. Through this study, elements of spatial images such as place type, space classification, and furniture can be extracted and used when developing AI algorithms, and it is expected that images requested by clients can be easily and quickly collected through spatial image input information.

  • Currently, the accessibility of households for the visually impaired has increased compared to the past, but there are still many shortcomings in existing methods, and conversely, in the process of changing to a touch screen, there have been more situations that cannot be determined by hand. In this paper, we propose a method to increase the accessibility of blind people to refrigerators, one of the essential furniture, by changing people's action to voice with device linkage and server communication.

  • Today, the rapid economic growth and emerging new trends have been changed radically throughout the society and they especially have affected the changes of life-style and the diversity of residents'demands in housing life. This changes of life have brought the shift in family form from traditional type, thus new phase of nuclear family means that it makes on the whole, variable family forms such as single family, non-blood one, a generation one and so on. It therefore is time that we should not only explore current housing plans, but envisage concept of new living space to satisfy latent need of the occupants. But the forms, in spite of the diversity of user's needs and the change of life-style, of many houses as many apartment and tenement houses supplied so far have been clearly limted, and housing policy of the mass-supply causes monotonous space composition, over-occupation and non-changeability. Now, the collective houses have some limits owing to the commoness and assemblage, but they have failed to keep up with the variable and changeable life-style of residents. These problems, to put it concretely, lead to increasing needs for the number of rooms in proportion to family members, for the change of behavior using the space. We therefore need to propose the new living space. As the current plans for designing house are based on the average life-style of people, they can not cope with variable demands of the resident. For that reason, this paper will propose the manual space system as an alternative for it and the goal is to suggest new furniture system which we need to create the flexibility of living space.

  • The ubiquitous smart home is the home of the future that takes advantage of context information from the human and the home environment and provides an automatic home service for the human. Human location and motion are the most important contexts in the ubiquitous smart home. We present a real-time human tracker that predicts human location and motion for the ubiquitous smart home. We used four network cameras for real-time human tracking. This paper explains the real-time human tracker's architecture, and presents an algorithm with the details of two functions (prediction of human location and motion) in the real-time human tracker. The human location uses three kinds of background images (IMAGE1: empty room image, IMAGE2:image with furniture and home appliances in the home, IMAGE3: image with IMAGE2 and the human). The real-time human tracker decides whether the human is included with which furniture (or home appliance) through an analysis of three images, and predicts human motion using a support vector machine. A performance experiment of the human's location, which uses three images, took an average of 0.037 seconds. The SVM's feature of human's motion recognition is decided from pixel number by array line of the moving object. We evaluated each motion 1000 times. The average accuracy of all the motions was found to be 86.5%.
