Fatigue Crack Growth Retardation after Single Overload Cycle in High Strengh Aluminium Weldments (고강도 알루미늄 합금 용접부에 있어서의 피로균열전파에 미치는 과하중 효과)

  • Retardation or delay in fatigue crack growth due to overloads are important for the accurate prediction of fatigue lives of structural materials. In this study, retardation of fatigue crack growth in Al 6061-T6 weldments and heat affected zones (HAZ) after single overload cycle had been investigated. Retardation in both weldments and HAZ was observed. It was concluded that retardation in both weldment and HAZ was greater than in base metal due to microstructural change and crack branching and crack closure were major governing factor in retardation.

  • This paper proposes a mechanism for managing overload in real-time web service system. The many previous mechanisms manage overload with controlling web request. These mechanisms can control only new web request. They don't have any control existing tasks, especially periodic tasks. We design a controller that able to meet real-time performance with controlling even periodic tasks. A feedback control system is implemented applying the proposed mechanism. And we verified the stable operation of system.

  • In this paper, I tried to propose efficient online game server architecture that decrease server overload. I used replicated distributed sever type together with non-replicated distributed sever type. Replicated distributed sever type has the advantage to maintain efficient distribution of server overload and non-replicated distributed sever type has the advantage to move a game server to a different game server freely in one server group. I used these advantages suitably in this proposal, and I will show the efficiency of online game server architecture.

  • PC users could experience some inconvenience when they use their PC that was physically connected to network printers shared by other People in the network due to the overload. This paper shows how to resolve this kind of overload problem and established the embedded printer system based on embedded Linux system which performs the printer server in order for any users in the of ice to do printing work more smoothly via current network. It's own capabilities and functions were verified throughout the various tests in practical environment.

  • This paper shows an accurate charge-pump PLL model which considers the wave-form distortion in high speed operation of charge-pump PLL, the leakage current in loop filter, and a physical limit in charge-pump. With proposed model of charge-pump PLL, overload and stability are derived theoretically and the results are compared to the conventional model. Unlike the ideal charge-pump PLL that simplifies calculations, it is possible to analyze the transient-state and the steady-state at the same time with proposed accurate model. Thus, charge-pump over load, in the transient-state and the stead-state of charge-pump, is accuragely analyzed and the results are confirmed with simulation.

  • This paper proposed two mechanisms of fixed method and new arrival method. They are all interactive meachanisms in that a SCP and the SSPs exchange load information for overload control. These mechanisms using simple algorithm based on the standard ACG, apply differenct call gapping time on each SSP under the fairness scheme when they allocates SCP capacity to competing demends. Also in the mechanisms, priority scheme is implemented. Two mechanisms show the almost same results on the call throughput. Fairness about the probability of rejection is maintained same value on all SSPs. On Priority scheme, new arrival method has better achievement than fixed method.

  • This paper proposes an expert system, which is able to determine the problem-solving strategy for diversity events occurred on the distribution system. The events include events related to the fault, scheduled outage and optimal operating task such as feeder line fault, line scheduled outage, line overload, system load balancing, system loss minimization, main transformer fault, main transformer scheduled outage, main transformer overload, main transformer protection control. The expert system enhances the reliability of software designed by the integrated concept for the diversity events.

  • When the current flows over the allowable current due to the overload, it causes electric disaster such as an electrical fire and an electric shock by short current or leakage of electricity because the covering is deteriorated according to the heating action. In this paper, for the wire(IV 1.6mm) used as interior wiring, we analyzed a variation of the surroundings temperature, the form and the structure of a covering, and the crystal structure of a conductor. In the result of this experiment, the surroundings temperature at the allowable current of 300% rose to about 47$^{\circ}C$, and it rose up to the maximum allowable temperature of the wire at 400%. Consequently, it was broken within one minute at 500%. In the analysis of a metallograph, the conductor broken by the over current showed the dendrite. These analyses result will be applied to judging the electrical fire.

  • This paper presents the new protective device which is developed specifically for use in oil filled distribution transformers. This device is mounted Inside of the transformer and connected between the secondary winding and the secondary bushings. It provides both fault and overload protection to the transformer, and visual warning of the existence of uneconomical loading conditions. It Is available in thermal/magnetic operating device depending upon fault duty required.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of stress on child care teachers' with relation to job turnover, occupational turnover and the moderating role of personal accomplishment. The subjects were 153 child care teachers in Gyeonggi-Do. Data was analyzed through Pearson's correlation, multiple regressions using the SPSS12.0. This study showed that work overload and administrative problems in child care centers were significant predictors of a teachers' intention to change their job. Also, the stresses of human relations such as with children or co-workers were significant predictors of a child care teachers' intention to change occupation. Personal accomplishment was suggested to reduce the negative results of work overload and stress.
