  • A virtual reality technology for multipurpose numerical simulation is developed to reproduce and investigate a variety of ocean environmental problems in a 3D-Numerical Wave Tank. The governing equations for solving incompressible fluid motion are Navier-Stokes equation and continuity equation, and the Marker-Density function technique is adopted to implement the fully-nonlinear free-surface kinematic condition. The marine environmental situations, i.e. waves, currents, wind, etc., are reproduced by use of multi-segmented wavemaker on the basis of the so-called "snake-principle". In this paper, some numerical reproduction techniques for regular and irregular waves, multi-directional waves, Bull's-eye wave, wave-current, and solitary wave are presented, and a model test in motion with large amplitude of roll angle is conducted in the developed 3D-NWT, using a overlaid grid system.

  • Location-based services allow consumers to receive services based on their geographic location data. For example, businesses can provide information to find traffic facility, public restaurant, a hospital, and a station based on the consumer’s location at a particular moment. Also, they wish to grasp a accurate location based service in mobile device or PDA. So, this paper shows that presentation service offers a base-map to be overlaid OpenLS (Open Location Services)’s directory service, route determination service, geocode and reverse-geocode service. The presentation service is the portrayal of a map and portrayal of feature as map overlays.

단일톤 간섭제거를 위한 다단반송파 DS/DPSK 시스템의 성능분석 (Analysis of Multicarrier DS/DPSK Systems with Single Tone Interference Rejection)

  • Narrowband signals can be treated like a single tone interference at the receiver which demodulates wideband signals spectrum overlaid at the same frequency band. In this paper, the single tone interference is effectively suppressed by the use of a multicarrier DPSK direct-sequence(DS) spread spectrum(SS) with maximal-ratio(MR) combining instead of notch filter, which is hard to implement. A noncoherent DPSK system is considered because it is more realizable and does not require any complicate phase tracking, compared with a single carrier system subject to a constraint system bandwidth, and their performance comparisons are validated through simulation. We also propose a suboptimal-ratio(SR) combining which yields uniform and tight low bound on the performance of the MR combining, and then system parameters re optimized by theoretically evaluating the low bound, since an exact analysis appears intractable.

  • This paper deals with an analysis and reduction of escalator vibration by using the response surface model. Optimization of the escalator vibration is performed by minimization of the vibration responses which are measured at steps. The response surface models of the factors are constructed by using the experimental data based on the D optimal design method. The multi-objective optimization is also performed by applying desirability function and overlaid contour plot techniques. The optimal solution, which is obtained for a typical escalator system, is applied to reduce the escalator vibration.

Representing Navigation Information on Real-time Video in Visual Car Navigation System

  • Car navigation system is a key application in geographic information system and telematics. A recent trend of car navigation system is using real video captured by camera equipped on the vehicle, because video has more representation power about real world than conventional map. In this paper, we suggest a visual car navigation system that visually represents route guidance. It can improve drivers' understanding about real world by capturing real-time video and displaying navigation information overlaid directly on the video. The system integrates real-time data acquisition, conventional route finding and guidance, computer vision, and augmented reality display. We also designed visual navigation controller, which controls other modules and dynamically determines visual representation methods of navigation information according to current location and driving circumstances. We briefly show implementation of the system.

시스템 구성요소 통합 및 현업서비스 구축 (Implementation of a Weather Hazard Warning System at a Catchment Scale)

  • This study is a part of "Early Warning Service for Weather Risk Management in Climate-smart Agriculture", describes the delivery techniques from 840 catchment scale weather warning information using 150 counties unit special weather report(alarm, warning) released from KMA(Korea Meteorological Administration) and chronic weather warning information based on daily weather data from 76 synoptic stations. Catchment weather hazard warning service express a sequential risk index map generated by countries report occurs and report grade(alarm, warning) convert to catchment scale using zonal summarizing method. Additional services were chronic weather warning service at crop growth and accumulated more than 4 weeks, based on an unsuitable weather conditions, representing a relative risk compared to its catchment climatological normal conditions (normal distribution ) in addition to special weather report. Service provided by a real-time catchment scale map overlaid with VWORLD open platform operated by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Also provide a foundation for weather risk information to inform individual farmers to farm located within the catchment zone warning occur.

A Study of Property on Trilateral Elevation in the Acute Angle Site

  • Morphology of contemporary city streets is composed of overlapping infrastructures corresponding to the new street within the established organization, contemporary system, future circumstance, and population. As well, two overlaid organizations and morphological, historical, social and physical development lead to sharp acute algle(triangular) site, and the architecture in this site has a restriction on the availability of the internal space and the external design due to outside shape sharpness. We want to have a positive effect on the internal and external design of the architecture in the future by categorization of the shape and processing characteristics of the acute angle corner of the trilateral site. The characteristics and design categorization shown in this case study are as follows. Constitution a unique and independent form, lead streets and shape a exclusive image of the landscape, alleviate sharpness by configuring a acute angle point as a plane, use void to give reserve character, replace roundness for companionability to induce ambience in the road, embrace the characteristics of the site and create internal spaces and functions, emphasize the characteristics of each stairs, retain of uniqueness and highlight the characteristics of a vertical elements.

폐목재파티클을 이용한 재생보드의 제조특성 (Manufacturing Characteristics of Boards Recycling Waste Wood Particle)

  • 폐목질원료로서, 제재, 합판, PB, MDF와 폐침목 등의 해머밀에 의한 파쇄특성과 재생파티클 종류와 혼합비율에 따른 재생보드의 물성을 구명함으로써, 보드원료로서 재자원화 하는 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 재생보드의 휨성질은 목질원료의 입자형태 및 입도분포에 크게 영향을 받으며, 파티클, 섬유와 같은 element가 압축고화된 상태의 판넬(PB, MDF)로부터 재생한 파티클은 물성저하를 초래하였다. 그러나, 재생파티클에 이미 도포 경화된 수지에 의해 재생보드의 치수안정성이 향상되는 효과가 있다. 따라서, 보드원료로서의 적합한 요건은 건전폐목재(제재, 합판)와 저급폐목재(PB, MDF)의 적정한 혼용에 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 건전폐목재 재생파티클과 재생 PB파티클의 혼용시험에서 제재파티클이 휨성질(MOR, MOE)과 박리강도에 기여하고, 합판파티클은 치수안정성에 더욱 기여하는 경향을 나타냈다. 또한 보드의 중층용 원료로 재생PB파티클의 혼합비율을 증가함에 따라서 보드의 휨성능이 감소되는 경향을 나타냈지만 혼합률 40%까지는 유의차가 없이 보드 15형(MOR : $153kgf/cm^2$, MOE : $27.5tonf/cm^2$) 수준의 성능이 구비되었다. 향후 생활폐목재(폐가구 등)와 같은 저급폐목재의 활용방안이 강구된다면 보드원료의 수급에 한층 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

무가선 트램용 매립형궤도 아스팔트 포장층의 부착특성 및 변형발생특성 분석 (Investigation of the Bond and Deformation Characteristics between an Asphalt layer and a Concrete Slab used as the Trackbed Foundation of an Embedded Rail System for Wireless Trams)

  • 무가선 트램 궤도구조는 도심지 가로망 내에 구축되는 관계로, 포장면 레벨 및 평탄성 확보를 위하여 기존 도로포장면과 동일하게 아스팔트 포장 덧씌우기 형태로 콘크리트 슬래브 상에 포설하게 된다. 그러나, 이들의 거동특성이 분명하게 파악된 바 없다. 본 연구에서는 무가선 트램용 매립형궤도 기초구조를 구성하는 아스팔트 포장층의 복합포장단면 내 거동특성을 분석하기 위하여 이들 이질 궤도 구성층재료 사이의 인장부착강도와 전단부착강도 파악을 위한 실내시험을 실시하였다. 이러한 실내부착강도 시험을 위하여 콘크리트 슬래브와 상단 아스팔트 포장층 사이에 사용할 부착재료를 선정하고 이에 따른 부착방식을 결정하였다. 트램용 매립형궤도 구성층 사이의 인장부착강도와 전단저항 실내시험결과로부터 공용성 및 내구성 확보를 위한 가장 핵심적인 설계 파라미터를 추출할 수 있었다. 또한 복합단면에 대한 유한요소해석으로부터 층간경계부에서의 인장변형률 특성을 분석하였다.
