This study is intended to formulate the issues through the status analysis and image evaluation for each street on the basis of colors for the outdoor advertisements for part of street side in the oldest downtown for its construction year. Analysing the business type of the street side, it displays the identity of the fashion business area and the color status shown on the outdoor advertisement did not consider the harmony on the other business type and building improvements that it displays chaotic street views in overall. Status of color for the outdoor advertisement compared and analyzed for each street-side to be analyzed with high color contrast with the building structure and outdoor advertisements than the Street B side where there are many businesses of fashion sundries and fashion clothes to form more complicated street scenery visually for the Street A side. The color combination principle of building structure and outdoor advertisement was shown to be the factor for the contrasting unity and diversity. In order not to stimulate this visual confusion, the colors of outdoor advertisement has to be applied on the basis of the color guideline based on the color combination principle of outdoor advertisement and building structure to have the aesthetic harmony overall. As a result of analysis using the KJ method, the present image of the old downtown area was shown with the adjective vocabularies of "complicated", "out-dated", "chaotic", "disorganized", "dirty", "suffocating", and "unilateral", and its image to strive for would be in a total of 6 adjective vocabularies of "well-arranged", "young", "dynamic", "sophisticated", "personable" and "neat", and it has presented the basic foundation of color guideline of outdoor advertisement fit for its image.
This study aims to identify the factorial constructs of the relational benefits perceived by consumers of outdoor wear brands and their impacts on the consumers' trust in and satisfaction with outdoor wear brands. An online survey was conducted with females and males between the ages of 20 and 50 who have experienced buying outdoor wear brands. A total of 420 responses were analyzed by factor analysis, a reliability test, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows: first, the results of factor analysis and the reliability test on the relational benefits perceived by outdoor wear brand purchasers clearly showed conceptual constructs that included informational benefits, social benefits, and psychological benefits. The sub-dimension of perceived relational benefits had significant effects on brand trust and satisfaction. Specifically, respondents revealed that they had higher brand trust if they felt psychologically comfortable, were offered useful information by outdoor wear brands, and had a favorable relationship with salespeople when they bought outdoor wear merchandise. Secondly, influences of perceived relational benefits on brand trust and satisfaction were not shown to differ depending on the congruity between outdoor wear brands and the purchaser's self-image. On the other hand, factors of perceived relational benefits revealed to differently have effects on brand trust and satisfaction depending on respondents' gender and age. Practical implications to understand outdoor wear target customers' relational benefits, self-image congruity and demographic characteristics and to enhance trust and satisfaction with outdoor wear brands are proposed.
In recent large-scale semiconductor manufacturing clean rooms, the energy consumption of outdoor air conditioning systems to heat, humidify, cool and dehumidify incoming outdoor air represents about 45% of the total air conditioning load required to maintain a clean room environment. Therefore, the energy performance evaluation and analysis of outdoor air conditioning systems is useful for reducing the outdoor air conditioning load for a clean room. In the present study, an experiment was conducted to compare the energy consumption of outdoor air conditioning systems with a simple air washer, an exhaust air heat recovery type air washer and a DCC return water heat recovery type air washer. It was shown from the present lab-scale experiment with an outdoor air flow of 1,000 $m^3/h$ that the exhaust air heat recovery type and DCC return water heat recovery type air washer outdoor air conditioning systems were more energy-efficient for the summer and winter operations than the simple air washer outdoor air conditioning system and furthermore, the DCC return water heat recovery type one was the most energy-efficient in the winter operation.
A survey of radon concentrations in both indoor and outdoor atmospheres was carried out using EIRM and Cup Monitor for the period of February 1996 to March 1997. EIRM were used to measure the indoor and outdoor radon concentration at five major cities university. Cup Monitor were also used to measure the indoor radon concentrations at shopping store, office building, apartment, hospital and house in Seoul. The mean indoor and outdoor radon concentrations at the five major cities(Seoul, Daegu, Daejon, Cwangiu and Busan) were 24.1 Bq/m$^3$and 8.62 Bq/m$^3$, respectively. The ratio of indoor to outdoor radon concentrations ranged front 1.7 to 3.9. Inspection of its seasonal distribute pattern indicates the enhancement during winter relative to summer, consistently for both indoor and outdoor air. The results of the survey showed that the concentrations in basements were clearly higher than those in usual living/working places.
Outdoor space used for leisure life as inhabitantses' recreation and rest area, and night activity is very important space to many apartment complex. Lately, outdoor space is recognized as a very important space in apartment complex. Especially, that outdoor space is frequently used at night despite planning of lighting of current outdoor space is unprepared for the selection of suitable luminaires, arrangement of luminaire and lighting plan. From this point of view, this paper investigated the essence of light in outdoor space and analyzed different outdoor luminous environment. This paper finally suggested recommended level of illuminance and planning of lighting.
The degree of contamination on outdoor insulator is ons of the most importance factor to determine the pollution level of outdoor insulation, and the sea salt is known as the most dangerous pollutant. As shown through the preceding study, the generation of salt pollutant and the pollution degree of outdoor insulator have a close relation with meteorological conditions, such as wind velocity, wind direction, precipitation and so fourth. So, in this paper, we made an investigation on the prediction method, a statistical estimation technique for equivalent salt deposit density of outdoor insulator with multiple linear regression analysis. From the results of the analysis, we proved the superiority of the prediction method in which the variables had a very close(about 0.9) correlation coefficient. And the results could be applied to establish the Pollution Prediction System for power utilities, and the system could provide an invaluable information for the design and maintenance of outdoor insulation system.
Calculating and predicting the thermal comfort in outdoor environment are difficult than in indoor environment because composition parameters are variable, interrelations among parameters are very complex and human activities in outdoor are diverse. Moreover, the thermal expectancy of subject in outdoor environment is different from that of indoor environment. The aims of this study are to examine the difference between indoor and outdoor thermal comfort range. With this in mind, field measurement for estimating outdoor thermal environment and a questionnaire survey with simultaneous measurement around the subject were conducted.

The purpose of this study to discover what effect the mathematics education program linked to outdoor movement activities have on the ability to manipulate objects. The subject of study was a kindergarten class. The experimental and comparative groups consisted of 20 people each. In order to verify the effect of applying the early childhood mathematics education program in connection with outdoor movement activities, a total of 15 weeks of program was conducted for young children. As a result of conducting this study, it was found that a mathematics education program linked to outdoor movement activities improves the ability to manipulate objects. The discussion based on the results of this study is as follows. First, we suggest to specific activities that can be performed in an outdoor environment should be developed and applied to the field of early childhood education. Second, we suggest that It is necessary to program various subjects that link to outdoor movement activities. Third, we suggest what various measures are needed to improve the young children's ability to manipulate objects.
The purpose of this study is to investigate actual environment and operation of outdoor play at day care centers in Jeju area and differences in recognition of outdoor play among teachers and provide basic data to develop an outdoor play program for infants. For this purpose, data were collected from 207 teachers form about 100 day care centers in Jeju area. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: first, there were statistically significant differences in the actual environment of outdoor play mostly by the types of establishment and national, public, or corporate centers had better environment than private ones did. Second, the majority of day care centers in Jeju area were including and operating outdoor play in a daily schedule. Third, there were no significant differences in recognition of outdoor play among teachers.
Deterioration of the outdoor thermal environment in urban areas such as heat island has become worse due to urbanization and overpopulation, etc. In this study, a new method which is coupled simulation of convection and radiation to evaluate outdoor thermal environment in urban area will be proposed. Because the solar radiation affects on outdoor thermal environment massively, therefore the radiation calculation is very important in outdoor thermal environment prediction. The coupled simulation proposed in this study can assess the outdoor thermal environment with accurate.
