Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effect of herb medicine (Indongsoyeom-bang) and acupuncture therapy on Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome. Methods : 15 patients diagnosed with Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome were enrolled in this study. They were treated with herb medicine (Indongsoyeom-bang) and acupuncture therapy. To evaluate the therapeutic effect, before and after we measured Extract Prostatic Secretion (EPS), National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIHCPSI) and International Prostatitis Symptom Score (IPSS). Result : After treatment WBC numeral index by EPS test and NIH-CPSI and IPSS decreased. Conclusion : Herb medicine (Indongsoyeom-bang) and acupuncture therapy are effective in treating Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome. Further study of mechanism and efficacy is needed.

Purpose : The purpose of this report is to record the effects of oriental treatments for the abnormal uterine bleeding Methods : This is a case report of a 16 year old female patient suffering from abnormal uterine bleeding for eight months. She was treated by Herb therapy for 3 months. During the treatments, we checked changes of symptoms. Results : After Herb therapy, abnormal uterine bleeding was disappeared and recovered the normal menstrual cycle. Conclusion : This clinical case shows that Herb therapy has potentially effective for abnormal uterine bleeding. More clinical data and studies are required for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding.

This case was designed to evaluate the improving effect of hepatitis on drug metabolism. Gleditsiae Spina(?甬刺) was included Taeumin' herb. but it maybe induced hepatitis on drug metabolism, if Taeumin take this herb long time. We use Taeyeumin Chungsimyeunjatang to the hepatitis on drug metabolism, and we improved it. so we report it.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of Puerariae flos herb-acupuncture on hippocampal neural cell proliferation. Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned into 4 groups; control group, control with herb-acupuncture group, alcohol group, alcohol with herb-acupuncture group group. Control groups were received with NaCl, while alcohol intoxication groups were injected intraperitoneally with alcohol (2 g/㎏) twice per day for 3 days. Herb-acupuncture groups were injected on Zhongwan (CV 12) for 5 consecutive days. Bromo-deoxyuridine (BrdU) was injected into all animal per day for 5 days. For the detection of BrdU-positive cells in dentate gyrus of hippocampus, immunohistochemistry was performed. In alcohol group, a significant decrease in BrdU-positive cells was observed compared to control group. In alcohol with herb-acupuncture group, BruU-positive cells increased significantly compared to alcohol group. In conclusion, the present results revealed that new cell proliferation is enhanced in the dentate gyros of young Sprague-Dawley rats through Puerariae flos herb-acpuncuture in an acute alcoholic intoxication condition.

Objectives : To analyze the latest study trend on effect of herbal medicine treatment for Colorectal Cancer in South Korea. Methods : The theses about colorectal cancer(from 1th January 2000 to 6th August 2016) were searched from National Assembly Library, KIOM OASIS, and National Digital Science Library. Results : 54 theses were analyzed from 87 studies. They were classified by the type of research; experimental theses and case report. The number of experimental theses is 48 and case report is 6. And, they were classified by the topic of research; Single herb, Herbal decoction, oriental foods and Pharmacopuncture, the number of theses about single herb is 29, herbal decoction is 14, oriental foods is 8 and Pharmacopuncture is 3. Rhus Verniciflua(乾漆), Beakduong-tang(白頭翁湯), Wild Ginseng Pharmacopuncture is the most commonly used herb in our research. Conclusion : There were many attempts to develop the way to cure colorectal cancer using korean herbs, and some meaningful results were reported. However, more clinical researches based on human body and more scientifically designed clinical studies are required to prove the effect on colorectal cancer.

In recent years, according to the increase of the osteoporosis and traffic accidents, the vertebral compression fracture patients are increased, This Study is clinical observation to the patients who be taken compression fracture of the $L1^{\sim}L2$ vertebra bodies with the symptoms of urinary disorder and ileus. She was treated by bed rest, acupuncture and moxibustion, herb medicine, physical therapy. In the observation of this case, I think that conservative treatment which involved acupuncture, moxibustion therapy and herb medicinal treatment is more effective than common nonoperative therapy.

1. Purpose Through analysing simple herbs of "DongEuiBoGam JangBu", we compare JangBu of traditional oriental medicine with JangBu of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. So we can comprehend the JangBu's difference of traditional-oriental with sasang-constitional medicine. 2. Method We divide herbs into 4 sectors of sasang constitution by "DongMuYooGo", "DongEuiSuSeBoWon SinJunBang" and define constitutional herbs for each type of sasang constitution. On that base, we analyze herbs in "DongEuiBoGam JangBu" into sasang constitution, and compare with JangBu of sasang-constitution 3. Result (1) The simple herb of sasang-constition is over 50% at that of "DongEuiBoGam JangBu" (2) Only small intestine is consist of one-constitional herb, others is 2~4-constitional herb (3) At the simple herbs of "DongEuiBoGam JangBu", Soeumin's herbs many used at Spleen, Stomach, Urinary bladder, SamCho, Taeumin's herbs many used at Lung. At the Soeumin and Taemin, the Sasang JangBu of filling up BoMyungGiJu(保命之主) is connected with traditional JangBu. Soyangin's herbs many used at Heart, Gall bladder, Small intestine and there is no JangBu which Taeyangin's herbs many used. At the Soyangin and Taeyangin, the Sasang JangBu of filling up BoMyungGiJu(保命之主) is not connected with traditional JangBu.

Objective & Methods: Toothache is occurred frequently in daily life. Nevertheless, medical treatment of the toothache is almost dependent on western cure. So we chose the oriental medicine textbook that were dealing with the internal herb medicine and external treatment. we got this result. Result were as follows : 1. The internal medication of toothache was the most used 15times Chungwesan(淸胃散) and 8times Palmihwan(八味丸). 2. Chungwesan (淸胃散) was used to remove the stomach heat. the intestin stomach heat and the stomach blood heat. etc. 3. The pill and powder form in external treatment was much used. 4. The most many used herb were Asari herba cum Radice(細辛), Cimicifugae Rhizoma( 升麻) and Angelicae dahurcae Radix(白芷), etc. 5. The most herb used for external treatment were the spicy warm and the spicy hot medication.

Objective : This is a comprehensive review summary of anticancer effect through autophagy using herb. Method : Data were retrieved from pubmed and authorized texts concerning anticancer effect through autophagy using herb.g its ant Results : A total of 5 potentially relevant studies were identified with including 4 in vitro papers. All papers were related to single herb extract or its compound providini-cancer effect through autophagy mechanisms of up-regulated pro-autophagy proteins and down-regulated anti-autophagy proteins. Conclusion : We can search five potentially relevant studies with anticancer treatment through enhancing autophagy mechanism. Autophagy will be a good pathway mechanism to explore novel experimental therapeutics in herb.
