In this study, water quality monitoring focused on TOC was performed at 5 points in Mihocheon (Stream) from January to December 2006. And 10 parameters (water temperature, pH, DO, EC, turbidity, SS, BOD, $PO_4-P$, TOC, TN) were monitored every month for one year. According to this study, TOC increased towards the lower stream (#4~#5). Correlation coefficients between TOC and DO, EC, turbidity, SS, BOD, $PO_4-P$, TN were -0.126, 0.351, 0.320, 0.286, 0.711, 0.525, 0.666. TOC was highly related to BOD. As a result of linear regression analysis, regression equation between BOD and TOC was BOD=0.58TOC+1.90 ($R^2=0.506$). In Mihocheon (Stream), BOD/TOC ratio decreased towards the lower stream. This results show decrease of ratio of biodegradable organic material to total organic pollutants towards the lower stream. This study is significant since it has revealed the potential value of TOC as organic material indicator for inquiry of water quality characteristics in the natural water system.

This study was intended to develop an experimental module based on inquiry processes conducted by photosynthesis scientists. It was aimed to enhance scientific inquiry ability of the middle school students by applying the developed module. Developed module included some experiments conducted by earlier photosynthesis scientists such as Helmont, Woodward, Priestly, Hales and Ingen-Hausz. Inquiry process was involved in the developed module for instructing the inquiry methods. Rapid-cycling Brassica rapa known as a Fast Plant was used for the experimental material. Developed module was applied to the experimental group consisting 27 eighth grader, while experiments suggested in the science textbook was applied to the control group consisting 30 eighth grader. Developed module was more effective in improving students' scientific inquiry ability, especially measuring, forecasting and hypothesizing ability as its subordinate elements. When the result of post-test was compared to one of pre-test in the experimental group, their observing, forecasting, and generalization ability were improved. Experimental group showed that students' conception in photosynthesis and conceptual development related with the role of plants in the ecosystem and plant's food and movement of the water and nutrients were also improved. Before application, students in the experimental group did not have enough understanding of the abstract concept such as the existence or the role of the materials like $CO_2$ or $O_2$ or the energy accumulation. Developed module could help students to achieve the comprehensive concept regarding the role of plants as producers of organic matter and oxygen and to enhance their scientific inquiry ability and concepts regarding photosynthesis.

Interactive space became one of the modern contemporary society design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need Interactive design development which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. Digital technology is resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of communication. This study is inquiry into the relations and the common characteristics between ecological architecture space and eco-centric environmental philosophy by making a comparative research. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for performed through literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for ecological construction elements to design. And the range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type. Five principles that draw at ecological design conceptualization process, whole unity, variety of organic at ecological design conceptualization process, circularity, homeostasis, allness, biological evolution, diversity have involved with concept that presents in ecological esthetics and organic property of ecology-system.

What sports have in common is that they must use their bodies to play and lead to victory. The use of the body differs in many ways depending on the event, which part should be used as the focus. The commonality of all sports is that sports can achieve the best results by using and using parts of the body in harmony. The use of strength or muscles varies depending on the type of sport or the type of sport, so the use of the body or the results of athletic events also varies. Sports are premised on the organic use of the body, but the implications of sports can be found in that the degree of organic use does not apply equally to all sports. Sports demand organic balance and flexibility. Depending on the type of sport, you can explore which organic harmony produces more effective effects and find out which events are more beneficial to the human body. This study aimed to find out whether the organic harmony of the body actively contributes to the development of sports and a healthy mental culture. In this study, we proposed the hypothesis that the modern Pentathlon will induce the most desirable organic harmony as a global Olympic sport, and tried to verify that the hypothesis is valid and verifiable. In order to do this study, I tried to find out the organic viewpoints centered on the Miletos school, re-examine the meaning of the modern Pentathlon of games as an Olympic event, and conduct organic harmony and exploration of the modern Pentathlon of games in terms of sports.

A three-component coupling reaction of phenylacetylene, p-toluenesulfonyl azide, and water through copper catalysis is described to provide knowledge of spectroscopy and catalytic reactions and to introduce current research topics in organic chemistry for second-year undergraduate students. In the presence of stoichiometric amounts of phenylacetylene, p-toluenesulfonyl azide, and triethylamine, the reaction was performed with 4 mol% CuCl in water as the sole solvent and was completed in 1.5 h. A practical purification method and recrystallization of the crude reaction mixture resulted in the rapid isolation of the desired product with yields of 42~65%. Students characterized 4-methyl-N-(phenylacetyl)benzenesulfonamide by using melting-point determination, infrared spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. This experimental procedure and spectroscopic data analysis will serve as a platform for students to apply classroom knowledge in practical state-of-the-art research.

Henry James tries to describe minutely in The Wings of the Dove the process in which a bad faith grows, is practiced in one's self, and spreads to a society. Through this fictional specificity, he embodies an analogy between a bad faith and social role-playing. That is, he shows, through the main characters such as Milly Theale and Merton Densher, how self interacts with the other and a society. In this interaction, there is some essential element, namely, an organic relationship between a self identity and a social role-model, which James describes very meticulously. Therefore, the characters are depicted as seeking to define self identity and eventually distorting it. Thus, The Wings of the Dove can be seen as a tragedy in which the characters who have this wrongly distorted self identity come to experience its effects. The distorted self identity appears to function as a social role. Milly distorts her true self identity by internalizing a dove-image for it. This results in a bad faith. Moreover, the American girl Milly utilizes it as a convenient social role-model which makes it easy for her to interact and engage with the others in the European society. Merton also evades adventurous and painful self-reflection and self-criticism by sticking to the mannerisms of gentlemanship and imitates the sublimity which Milly shows him. Thus, Milly and Merton clearly omit self-inspection and self-inquiry for the contact between a free self and a society, which is essential to obtain social objectivity, namely, intersubjectivity.

Embalming is process of chemically treating a dead body to reduce growth of microorganisms and retard organic decomposition. Embalming is contemporary preservation and includes skin incision and preservative fluid injection of blood vessels. That the preparation, embalming and final disposition of a dead body should be attended with appropriate legal bases and properness, having due regard and respect for the care of the human body. The necessity of embalming on legal base is present but it has not been studied in Korea. We propose the legal bases about the embalming that is based on the related law associated a dead body in Korea. We aim to have legal reason for the embalming and embalmer.

In fashion, there are various cultural aspects that exist in complexity, where according to the era, even fashion items newly develop and prevail into various designs in the organic function with reality of related cultural phenomenon and aesthetic aim. Among the fashion items, the shoe is historically considered as the shield from lust and also the provision of praise against the most emotional incitement. Mankind has started wearing shoes out of the functional purpose of protection since the ancient Egyptian times. Thereafter humankind has been creating shoes artistically in respect to shape, color, and quality of material, etc, as an expression of aesthetical awareness and introspective desire for beauty. As modern fashion increasingly regards the total fashion image much more important than each items consisting the whole outfit, the role of shoe became essential more than ever. Contrary to its relative importance, little academic attention was given to this area yet, while prestigious museums and galleries in Europe and the USA have held exhibitions of shoes in view of both historical and artistic aspects. This study aims to make a historical inquiry of western shoes. through which their aesthetic values can be drawn. Literature on this subject including aesthetics, history of costume and arts were referred. Fashion magazines and catalogues were investigated for additional information. The process and results of this study are meant to be a suggestion not only to further studies but also to artistic and creative shoe design. Originated for the functional purpose, shoes have evolved in various shapes with different meanings attached to it. When the technological development made the satisfaction for functional needs possible, the intrinsic attribute, the aesthetic value was pursued. The historical contemplations of shoes from Egyptian times to the 1990's led to the results that the intrinsic aesthetic value of shoes can be summarized as follows: 1) protection and extension of body, 2) need for decoration, 3) erotic expression, 4) symbol of dignity and class, 5) fashion.

According to critics and architects, non-linear structure is not only an organic form of space, but also a form of space detached from modem style. Accordingly, non-linear structure can be accepted as an alternative to what has remained unsolved by deconstructionist. However, they are criticized for not clarifying the interdependent relationship between non-linearity of space and cognitive structure of human being. They ended up remaining the hypothesis just an intuitive and abstract one. This research began on the basis that their hypothesis is hard to be objectified, and it needs further inquiry. The purpose of this thesis is to explore how the redundant factors constitute non-linear structures of digital media centered space design. Geometric compositions of space structure were analyzed to define what types of redundant factors are contrived in the process of visual information. This study about the visual form, researching the Information Theory, and then offer a quantitative analysis that makes those more objective. Space structure and geometric composition were analyzed to define what types of redundancy are contrived in the process of visual information. In particular, I put higher theoretical emphasis on what characteristics are ensued in the process of structuring spaces than any other subjects. Followings are the conclusion of analysis. First, as a result of examining, we can assume that NOX' space structure is not a chaotic form, but has an operating the form of its own. Second, in case of curvilinear, the structure was found redundancy on mid deviation ratio and discontinuous circular fabric. Although most of their structures appeared complex with a higher coherent constant, they were found to be stable factors because of the low deviation ratio between systems. The amount of surplus information was stable structure as well.

As a part of research to elucidate the pathogenesis of so called Soft Tunic Syndrome(STS), that caused mass mortalities in the cultured sea squirts, Halocynthia roretzi, the epidemiological and pathological analysis were done to both clinically normal and diseased groups of the farms of Tongyoung and Geoje coastal areas in southeast sea from February to July, 2008. In the histological finding of the tunic, most of individuals showed tunic softness syndromes that included the disarrangement and destruction of tunic fiber with the simultaneous presence of flagellates-like cells, recently suspected as main agents of tunic softness syndromes. Simultaneously, the intensive degenerative changes of the skeletal muscle of diseased sea squirts were recognized. The changes were characterized with the hyalinization and condensation of muscle fibril and hemocytic infiltration in the muscle fibers. Those were thought to be a kind of typical Zenker's necrosis as in the skeletal muscle of higher vertebrates. Besides of the diseased sea squirts, Zenker's necrosis of skeletal muscles were seen in the normal ones. Epidemiological inquiry for diseased groups revealed that the higher incidences of tunic softness syndrome were recorded in the fast growing groups and in the sites presuming the organic pollution. And Higher malondialadehyde(MDA) and glutathione peroxidase(GPx) activity were detected in the groups showing STS. Those results suggested that Zenker's necrosis of body muscles was a kind of"nutritional myopathy" by oxidative stress. Conclusively, it was considered that Zenker's necrosis of body muscles gives an important clue for elucidating pathogenesis of STS of cultured squirts. And it seems that the necrosis were caused by the oxidative stress to body muscle during abnormal rapid growth of sea squirts.
