The data were collected by a structured questionnaire from 26 June to 30 June, 2006. Collected data were analyzed into frequency, One-Way ANOVA, T-test, and correlation analysis using SPSS 10.0 program. Results:First, the mothers, oral health knowledge was significantly associated with their children,s perception of benefit, seriousness and barrier. Second, the mothers, oral health behavior was significantly associated with their children,s frequency of toothbrushing and visiting at dental care facility. Fourth, the mother's visiting at dental care facility were significantly associated with their children's visiting at dental care facility. Conclusion:The mothers, oral health knowledge was significantly associated with oral health belief of their children and the mothers, oral health behavior was significantly associated with oral health behavior of their children. Consequently it was necessary to encourage mothers and their children to take part in oral health education programs and oral health projects.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to stress the necessity of the oral health promotion behavior of elementary school students and to provide some information on the development of oral health education programs. Methods : The subjects in this study were 570 students who were in their fourth, fifth and sixth grade elementary schools in the city of Jeonju that were equipped with school dental clinics. A survey was conducted to find out their oral health knowledge and behavior. Results : As for oral health knowledge, 47.5% that was the largest group had an excellent knowledge of oral health. In regard to preference for the content of oral health education, the elementary school students had the most preference for toothbrushing education, and there was a definitely positive relationship between concern for oral health and actual oral health care, since those who were more interested in oral health took better care of their oral health. Conclusions : The oral health knowledge and behavior of the elementary school students were satisfactory, and the development and implementation of quality oral health education programs are required to encourage their oral health promotion behavior.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to provide some information on down-to-earth oral health policy to improve the systemic health involving oral health and the quality of life in Korean adults. Methods : The third-year data of the 4th National Health and Nutrition Survey in 2009 were analyzed, and $x^2$(Chi-square) test was carried out to see whether there would be any gaps in subjective oral health status according to demographic characteristics, systemic health state, frequency of eating between meals and oral health behavior. In terms of the DMFT index, one-way ANOVA was utilized, and then Scheffe post-hoc analysis was conducted. Besides, multiple regression analysis was made to grasp the relationship of oral health behavior to subjective oral health state and the DMFT index. Results : The demographic characteristics, systemic health status and oral health behavior had a significant relationship to both of subjective oral health status and the DMFT index. As a result of analyzing the relationship of oral health behavior to subjective oral health state and the DMFT index, the subfactors of oral health behavior exerted a significant independent influence on subjective oral health status and the DMFT index. Conclusions : The findings of the study suggest that in order to promote the oral health of adults, preventive measures should be taken, and systematic oral health education should be provided. As there is an increase in the elderly population in Korea, the successful implementation of senior oral health plans and the development of oral health programs geared toward adults are both required.

Oral health behavior was significantly higher in students with lower snack intake compared to those with higher or average snack intake (p < 0.05). Oral health behavior for tooth brushing and toothbrush care were significantly higher in females than in males (p < 0.05). The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, oral health related characteristics, oral health knowledge and behavior. Data were analyzed using SAS 9.3 version. T-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple linear regression analyses were performed to evaluate the related factors with oral health behavior. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ in oral health knowledge in this study was 0.52 and that in oral health behavior was 0.80. Results: The overall score of oral health behavior was $3.38{\pm}0.52$. Of all behaviors, the practice in brush of teeth and tongue had the highest mean score. In multiple regression analysis, oral health knowledge in the nursing and dental hygiene students was positively associated with the oral health behavior(${\beta}=0.04$, p=0.003, ${\beta}=0.23$, p=0.003, and ${\beta}=0.18$, p=0.034, respectively). Necessity of dental care, one of oral symptom, and more than two oral symptoms were negatively associated with oral health behavior(${\beta}=-0.14$, p=0.002, ${\beta}=-0.11$, p=0.037, and ${\beta}=-0.17$, p=0.011, respectively). Conclusions: Higher oral health knowledge showed higher levels of oral health behavior. These results will enhance the quality of oral health behavior by increasing the level of oral health knowledge. Purpose : The college student period is pivotal for establishing oral health management behaviors and habits that persist in adulthood; it is necessary to develop the correct behaviors. Appearance management behavior not only involves the management of an individual's appearance but also ensures a healthy quality of life. Additionally, it is related to health and oral health behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine how college students' appearance management behavior affects their oral health management behavior and to provide basic data for developing policies appropriate for the lifestyle of college students. Methods : A self-administered questionnaire was completed by 450 university students in Gyeonggi, Choung-nam, Daejeon on April 27, 2022. The survey comprised 5 questions about general characteristics, 18 about appearance management behavior, and 8 about oral health behavior. The sum of the practice questions were calculated, with higher scores indicating better oral health behavior. Results : The oral health management behavior exhibited was generally high. Notably, the health-related group (61.2 %) demonstrated significantly higher levels of clothing management (60.5 %), makeup management (56.6 %), and skincare (56.6 %) behaviors, whereas body management behavior (61.2 %) was deemed 'normal' (p<.05). The results of the stepwise multiple regression analysis examining the impact of appearance management behavior on oral health management indicated that clothing management (β=0.17) and skincare behaviors (β=0.12) were influential factors. Among these, clothing management behavior was the most influential. Conclusion : To promote oral health practices among college students, this study incorporated factors related to appearance management into oral health education to increase participation and interest. We intend our findings to serve as foundational data for developing oral health education programs that integrate elements of appearance management.

The analysis methods were complex frequency analysis, complex chi-square test, and complex logistic regression analysis. Results: In case of brush teeth after lunch during the week, those who practiced it was 1,025 times higher than those who did not practice it, and in the case of oral symptoms practice was 0.915 times lower than not practice. As a result of adjusted general characteristics, for brushing teeth after lunch during the week, practice was 1,090 times higher than no practice. Conclusions: The relationship between sedentary behavior and oral health behavior and oral symptoms could be confirmed.
