  • Recently, a big text data has been produced by users, an opinion mining to analyze information and opinion about users is becoming a hot issue. Of the opinion mining, especially a sentiment analysis is a study for analysing emotions such as a positive, negative, happiness, sadness, and so on analysing personal opinions or emotions for commercial products, social issues and opinions of politician. To analyze the sentiment analysis, previous studies used a mapping method setting up a distribution of emotions using two dimensions composed of a valence and arousal. But previous studies set up a distribution of emotions arbitrarily. In order to solve the problem, we composed a distribution of 12 emotions through carrying out a survey using Korean emotion words list. Also, certain emotional states on two dimension overlapping multiple emotions, we proposed a selection method with Roulette wheel method using a selection probability. The proposed method shows to classify a text into emotion extracting emotion terms from a text.

  • As smart-phone usage increases, the number of Social Networking Service (SNS) users has also exponentially increased. SNS allows people to efficiently exchange their personal opinion, and for this reason, it is possible to collect the reaction of each individual to a given event in real-time. Nevertheless, new methods need to be developed to collect and analyze people's opinion in real-time in order to effectively evaluate the impact of a TV advertisement. Hence, we designed and constructed a system that analyzes the effect of an advertisement in real-time by using data related to the advertisement collected from SNS, specifically, Twitter. In detail, Hadoop is used in the system to enable big-data analysis in parallel, and various analyses can be conducted by conducting separate numerical analyses of the degrees of mentioning, preference and reliability. The analysis can be accurate if the reliability is assessed using opinion mining technology. The proposed system is therefore proven to effectively handle and analyze data responses to divers TV advertisement.

  • Background: Since 2010, Korea has maintained a DNA database of those convicted of or awaiting trial for certain crimes. There have been proposals to expand the list of crimes included in this database, or conversely, omit certain crimes if they are committed during protests. An understanding of the feelings of the public as we consider the ethical, legal, and social aspects of a DNA database and as revisions to laws are made is required. Methodology: Questions related to the DNA database were included in the nationally representative Korean Academic Multimode Open Survey (KAMOS) panel (June-August 2016). Results: Of 2,000 randomly selected panel members, 1,013 respondents participated in this survey, including 89.2% who supported the existence of a criminal DNA database. The current system of storing DNA profiles until a suspect's acquittal or a convict's death was supported by 79.5% of respondents. In addition, 70.8% of respondents agreed with the expansion of crime categories included in the criminal database. Many (93.4%) respondents favored genetic testing and data storage to determine the identity and cause of death for people who die of unnatural causes. Some differences in attitude related to social class were noted, with those who self-identified as members of the upper class more likely to support the database and its expansion to include additional crimes than those who self-identified as middle or lower class. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that Koreans generally support the criminal DNA database.

  • Public opinion polls have a strong influence on modern society as a means of examining the tendency of social groups on specific issues. As the influence of the polls increases, the problem of forgery and falsification of the results becomes an important issue. So, to guarantee the reliability of the results, our society needs novel mechanisms. As one of such mechanisms, the Ethereum blockchain is an environment for developing decentralized applications with the reliable blockchain technology. Ethereum decentralized applications can utilize smart contracts to provide services for users in transparent and reliable ways. In this paper, we propose a polling method that guarantees reliability using the blockchain technology, which is a distributed ledger technique that makes forgery or falsification actually impossible. The proposed method provides a robust verification function on the results of the associated polls for individual voters and verification organizations. Also, we present a distributed opinion polling application running on our private Ethereum blockchain network, showing the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Financial fraud undermines the sustainable development of financial markets. Financial statements can be regarded as the key source of information to obtain the operating conditions of listed companies. Current research focuses more on mining financial digital data instead of looking into text data. However, text data can reveal emotional information, which is an important basis for detecting financial fraud. The audit opinion of the financial statement is especially the fair opinion of a certified public accountant on the quality of enterprise financial reports. Therefore, this research was carried out by using the data features of 4,153 listed companies' financial annual reports and audits of text opinions in the past six years, and the paper puts forward a financial fraud detection model integrating audit opinions. First, the financial data index database and audit opinion text database were built. Second, digitized audit opinions with deep learning Bert model was employed. Finally, both the extracted audit numerical characteristics and the financial numerical indicators were used as the training data of the LightGBM model. What is worth paying attention to is that the imbalanced distribution of sample labels is also one of the focuses of financial fraud research. To solve this problem, data enhancement and Focal Loss feature learning functions were used in data processing and model training respectively. The experimental results show that compared with the conventional financial fraud detection model, the performance of the proposed model is improved greatly, with Area Under the Curve (AUC) and Accuracy reaching 81.42% and 78.15%, respectively.

  • A recent public opinion survey found that the anti-corporate sentiment of South Korean citizens is primarily due to the misbehavior of Korean corporations. South Korean citizens' skepticism of corporations may hinder the democratic and economic development of the country. As a driving force for community development, social capital is considered to enable citizens to collaborate with one another to resolve a shared problem. Specifically, this study pays attention to the relationship among social capital, corporate capacity, and trust, which may perhaps contribute to developing a democratic environment in Korean society. The study aims to explore whether Korean citizens' perceived corporate bonding and bridging social capital affect corporate capacity for collaborative action and trust in corporations. A Web survey of 385 South Koreans was conducted. The findings show that perceived bonding social capital among employees is positively related to corporate capacity for collaboration action. Moreover, perceived bonding among employees and bridging social capital between employees and local residents are positively related to corporate capacity for collaboration action and trust in corporations. These findings suggest that researchers and practitioners for organizational development and community-building need to enhance corporate social capital.

  • This study has two purposes. One is to know that it is Possible to use portfolio in the elementary math class. The other is to make a useful method for using portfolio. We got the following conclusion through the study. Portfolio gave students an opportunity that they could review their mathematical thinking. But it couldn't work very well for the low-level students. They didn't pay attention to the class. So, careful prepa-ration and training were necessary for the portfolio material. And the portfolio material must be prepared by appropriate contents. Teacher had to do math class by considering students ability. The math class could be much better for motivation, teaching-learning activity impro-vement and communication tool by using portfolio material. There are several imple-mentation processes in preparation, execution and utilization of the class. 1) Preparation: Teacher must decide if it is appropriate for portfolio by analyzing the course and textbook and set a final goal. And then teacher has to select an appropriate item and make a schedule for the class. The portfolio material must contain valuable things from which students learn mathematics and use in their life. The student level, utilization purpose and contents are considered when one prepares portfolio material. 2) Execution: Students are supposed to understand about the portfolio very well. It is important for them to get the opportunity for reviewing through math class diary, their opinion, friends opinion and teachers opinion. 3) Utilization: Parents review ameliorates the communication among teacher, student and parents about learning activity.
