This study was performed to examine the effects of catalase and $\beta$-mercaptoethanol ($\beta$ME) on the establishment of clonal lines from porcine fetal fibroblast cells. Fibroblasts derived from a pig fetus (Day 50) were passaged two times before use. A single cell was seeded in 96-well plates and cultured in medium supplemented with or without catalase or $\beta$ ME. Cell colonies were passaged two times into 4-well dish. Cell lines with proliferating potential were classified as an established clonal cell line. In experience 1, the establishment efficiencies were examined by addition of catalase (100ng/$m\ell$) or $\beta$ME (100 uM) in culture medium. The establishment efficiency of $\beta$ME-added group (8.3％) was significantly higher than that of control group (3.2％, P<0.05). However, catalase did not have a positive efffct on the establishment efficiency. In experience 2, the establishment efficiencies were examined by addition of different concentrations of catalase (0-1,000 ng/$m\ell$) in culture medium. However, establishment efficiencies were not different among the different concentrations of catalase (0-2.6％). In experience 3. the establishment efficiencies were examined by addition of different concentrations of $\beta$ME(0-1,000 uM) in culture medium. The establishment efficiency was significantly higher in 100 uM $\beta$ME-added group (9.4％) compare to others (0-1.6％). The result of present study shows that the establishment efficiency of clonal cell lines can be enhanced by the culture in media supplemented with 100uM $\beta$ME. However, catalase did not have a positive effect on the establishment efficiency.

The ability of time reversal techniques to focus ultrasonic beams on the source location is important in many aspects of ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation. In this paper, we investigate the time reversal beam focusing of ultrasonic array sensors on a defect in layered media. Numerical modeling is performed using the commercially available software which employs a time domain finite difference method. Two different time reversal approaches are considered - the through transmission and the pulse-echo. Linear array sensors composed of N elements of line sources are used for signal reception/excitation, time reversal, and reemission in time reversal processes associated with the scattering source of a side-drilled hole located in the second layer of two layer structure. The simulation results demonstrate the time reversal focusing even with multiple reflections from the interface of layered structure. We examine the focusing resolution that is related to the propagation distance, the size of array sensor and the wavelength.

Objectives : This study aimed to assess youth perception of COVID-19 vaccination in one Korean Medicine college, to compare according to COVID-19 vaccination. Method : An on-line survey using Google Form was conducted on students enrolled in one Korean medical college. Results : A total of 74 students out of 260 individuals replied, with 43 males and 31 females, 68 (91.9%) were vaccinated (or vaccine reserved), six (8.1%) were not vaccinated. The response rate was 28.5%. All the unvaccinated were intended to receive vaccines in the future. The vaccinated were most concerned about the adverse events. The unvaccinated responded that COVID-19 vaccine was unnecessary, not effective, not safe, and do not recommend vaccination to others compared to the vaccinated. Conclusion : In order to improve the COVID-19 vaccination rate, clear information on the risk of COVID-19 infection and the effects of vaccines should be known through the media.

This work focuses on the fabrication of excellent magnetic structures for trapping breast cancer cells. Micromagnetic structures were patterned for trapping cancer cells by depositing 30 nm of permalloy on a silicon substrate. These structures were designed and fabricated using two fabrication techniques: electron beam lithography and laser direct writing. Two types of magnetic structures, rectangular wire and zig-zagged wire, were created on a silicon substrate. The length of each rectangular wire and each straight line of zig-zagged wire was 150 ㎛ with a range of widths from 1 to 15 ㎛ for rectangular and 1, 5, 10 and 15 ㎛ for zigzag, respectively. The magnetic structures showed good responses to the applied magnetic field despite adding layers of silicon nitride and polyethylene glycol. The results showed that Si + Si₃N₄ + PEG exhibited the best adhesion of cells to the surface, followed by Si + Py + Si₃N₄ + PEG. concentration of 5-6 with permalloy indicates that this layer affected silicon nitride in the presence of Polyethylene glycolPEG.

The aim of the present study was to determine mechanisms of corneal epithelial cell apoptosis in vitro following exposure to anti-FAS and anti-FAS ligand antibody and during infection with mycoplasma sp.. A cultured human corneal epithelial(HCE) cell line was treated with anti-FAS antibody or anti-FAS ligand antibody for 2 and 4 days. The original cell line was found to be contaminated by mycoplasma removal agent(MRA) was used to eliminate the bacterium from the cell line. MRA($0.5{\mu}{\ell}$ tissue culture medium) was added to the cell line and incubated for 1 week. The cell line underwent multiple passages in media not contaminating MRA and cells were grown to 50-80% confluency on coverslips and stained using the Hoechst stain provided in the kit to ensure mycoplasma removal. Apoptosis experiments were performed before and after mycoplasma removal. The apoptotic index of anti-FAS and anti-FAS ligand antibody on mycoplasma contaminated cell line was studied using Hoechst 33342 staining and Annexin V-FITC and Propidium Iodide Staining. In conclusion, anti-FAS antibody induces apoptosis in HCE cells in a time and concentration-dependent mechanism. Cell lines contaminated with mycoplasma have an incresed susceptibility to FAS induced apoptosis.

Recently, there were some welfare embezzlement cases of public social workers. The purpose of this study is to explore public perceptions of public social workers by analysing the comments named "datgeul" in the internet media discussion rooms("toronbang") about welfare embezzlement cases of public social workers. The results show that the main discourse about public social workers to perform a dual role as the public servants and social workers on the front line of public social welfare is that they are the victims of both a public official system and welfare administration system. In addition, social workers in public sphere are still recognized as service personnels with sacrifice and commitment rather than as professionals. Finally, the implications of this study were discussed to improve public perceptions of social welfare professionals.

These days, photoshop and illustrator program can make a fashion illustration express easily and speedily, And they can also express a feeling and sensitivity of fashion illustrator by a tool and effect more than a manual work's media. The purpose of this study was to analyze a visual expression and characteristics in fashion illustration using 2D graphics. The method of this study was to analyze the fashion illustration books using 2D graphics. The visual expressions in fashion illustration using 2D graphics were as follows: Fashion illustration was based on a sketch or photography, and used a composition, drawing, mapping, painting, and manual work's re-touching. Characteristics of visual expression were as follows: First, a image composition was showed discontinuity and heterogeneity of image, new context and composition, and allowance of reality. Second, image transform was showed image overlap, body transformation by image recomposition, and deformed transformation by vector drawing. Third, hyper-real was showed precise touching, mechanical and neutral image, omission of background and focus of an object's characteristic and information. Fourth, following a realistic expression was showed simplified color, shading, dominant view point of fashion illustrator by omission, and daily lift style. Fifth, following a pictorial expression was showed non-fixed and irregular line, natural painting, and drawing and painting by conventional pictorial media. In conclusion, a photoshop and illustrator in 2D graphics will serve as a new media far fashion illustration with a manual work. And they will not only intensify a capacity as a commercial role of fashion illustration but also present a positive motive for students learning a fashion illustration.

Two experiments were conducted to investigate the dietary effect of chlorella vulgaris on egg production and lutein incorporation into chicken eggs. In Exp. 1, a total of three hundred, 70 wk-old Hy-Line brown layers were divided into six groups with five replicates and fed each experimental diet (corn-SBM based control diet and diets with 0.1, 0.3 or 0.5% chlorella powder and with 0.8 or 2.4% chlorella cultured media) for 6 wk, respectively. The egg production in the groups fed diets containing the chlorella powder and chlorella cultured media were higher than that of the control group (p<0.001). As dietary chlorella levels increased, the yolk color linearly increased. However, there were no significant differences in egg-shell qualities. The layers fed diet with 2.4% chlorella cultured media showed the highest Haugh unit value. In Exp. 2, a total of one hundred-eight 80 wk-old Hy-Line brown layers were assigned into four groups with three replicates per group (9 birds per replicate). The birds were fed one of four experimental diets (0, 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0% chlorella powder) for 4 wk, followed by a 14 d feeding of a withdrawal diet devoid of chlorella powder. At 2 wk, the lutein greatly increased with increasing levels of chlorella powder in birds fed diets containing more than 1%. The maximum incorporation of lutein into eggs was reached after 2 or 3 wk of feeding diets with chlorella powder. After a 7 d withdrawal, the lutein contents of egg yolks in the groups fed diets with more than 1% chlorella powder were still higher than that of control group (p<0.05). No significant differences in the lutein levels were found among groups after a 14 d withdrawal period. These results indicated that the use of chlorella in layer diets was effective in improving egg production and egg quality and for the production of lutein fortified eggs.

본 논문에서는 비음수 행렬 분해 (NMF) 기법을 이용하여 단일 채널에서 배경음 성분을 추출하는 알고리즘에 대해 서술한다. 이러한 배경음 성분 추출은 오디오 업믹싱 시스템을 고려하여 개발되었으며, 기존의 연구를 통하여 분리된 배경음 신호가 서라운드 채널 혹은 상방향 채널에 적용될 경우 청취자의 공간감을 향상시킬 수 있다는 사실이 이미 확인된 바 있다. 다만 기존의 기법은 음향 신호를 모두 축적하여 일괄적으로 처리해야 한다는 단점이 있어, 스트리밍 시스템이나 디지털 신호 프로세서 등을 이용한 시스템에서 사용될 수 없는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해소하기 위하여 실시간 비음수 행렬 분해 기법을 이용한 배경음 추출 시스템을 고안하여 실험하였다. 실험 결과 실시간 배경음 추출 기법이 신호의 후반부에서는 원하는 대로 동작하나, 초중반에 기저가 과도하게 설정되는 문제점이 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이에 대한 해결이 향후 연구 과제가 될 것이다.

This study deals with linear flow pattern in steady-state or transient dual-porosity media with a vertical geologic structure such as fault, fracture zone, etc. A pumping well is located in the vertical structure of infinitesimal or finite width with high hydraulic conductivity and negligible specific storage. Selected type curves on a pumping well and observation wells in the fractured system and the matrix block are provided. The type curves on the pumping well considers both wellhole and well-loss effects.
