A new triterpenoidal saponin was isolated from the methanol extract of Achyranthes fauriei roots (Amaranthaceae). The structure of this saponin was elucidated as $3-{\beta}-D-glucopyranosyl-olean-12-en-28-O-3-{\beta}-D-glucopyranosyl$ ester.
