미디어프로세서 상의 고속 움직임 탐색을 위한 Hexagon 모양 라인 탐색 알고리즘 (Hexagon-shape Line Search Algorithm for Fast Motion Estimation on Media Processor)

  • 대부분의 고속 블록 움직임 추정 알고리즘은 탐색점의 수를 줄여서 연산량을 감소시킨다. 하지만 이러한 고속 움직임 추정 알고리즘들은 비정규화 데이터 흐름 때문에 멀티미디어 프로세서에서는 좋은 성능을 보이기 어렵다. 미디어 프로세서에서는 내부 메모리에서 데이터의 효과적인 재사용이 SAD 명령의 수를 줄이는 것보다 더욱 중요하다. 이는 수행 사이클의 성능이 외부 메모리 액세스의 횟수에 매우 의존적이기 때문이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 내부 메모리로부터 데이터를 효과적으로 재사용 할 수 있는 라인 탐색 패턴과 라인 탐색 패턴에서 불필요한 SAD 연산을 줄이기 위한 서브 샘플링 방법을 적용한 Hexagon 모양 라인 탐색(Hexagon-shape line search, HEXSLS) 기법을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통하여 HEXSLS 기법의 MAE 성능은 전역 탐색 블록 정합(FSBMA) 기법과 비슷하고, Hexagon 기반 탐색 (Hexagon-based search) 보다 우수한 성능을 가짐을 보인다. 또한 HEXSLS는 Hexagon 기반 탐색이나 예측 라인 탐색(predictive line search) 기법보다 적은 외부 메모리의 액세스가 발생한다. 결과적으로, 제안한 HEXSLS 기법은 종래의 기법과 비교하여 미디어 프로세서에서 매우 낮은 수행 사이클 성능을 보인다.

  • This paper presents the developing a new algorithm for detecting the Back fed Earth Fault in three wire-unigrounded distribution system by zero sequence admittance. So called "Backfed Earth Fault" of the electric power distribution line refers to a class of earth faults that the load-side line only is grounded, following after the distribution line broken into two parts, the source-side and the load-side. Because its mechanism differs from that of other earth faults, it is therefore, required to examine. This paper deals with the detailed software of the digital protective relay for Backfed earth fault. In order to prove that the proposed schemes is good, we performed off-line simulation using data from EMTP and ETSA(Electrcity Trust Of South Austrilia). It is shown that the suggested algorithm is never mal operated.

  • Abstract - In this paper, an adaptive mechanism based on immune algorithm is designed and it is applied for the autonomous guided vehicle(AGV) driving. When the immune algorithm is applied to the PID controller, there exists the case that the plant is damaged due to the abrupt change of PID parameters since the parameters are adjusted almost randomly. To solve this problem, a neural network is used to model the plant and the parameter tuning of the model is performed by the immune algorithm. After the PID parameters are determined in this off-line manner, these gains are then applied to the plant for the on-line control using immune adaptive algorithm. Moreover, even though the neural network model may not be accurate enough intially, the weighting parameters are adjusted to be accurate through the on-line fine tuning. The computer simulation for the control of steering and speed of AGV is performed. The results show that the proposed controller has better performances than other conventional controllers.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive mechanism based on immune algorithm and neural network identifier technique. It is also applied fur an autonomous guided vehicle (AGV) system. When the immune algorithm is applied to the PID controller, there exists the case that the plant is damaged due to the abrupt change of PID parameters since the parameters are almost adjusted randomly. To solve this problem, we use the neural network identifier (NNI) technique fur modeling the plant and humoral immune algorithm (HIA) which performs the parameter tuning of the considered model, respectively. After the PID parameters are determined in this off-line manner, these gains are then applied to the plant for the on-line control using an immune adaptive algorithm. Moreover, even though the neural network model may not be accurate enough initially, the weighting parameters are adjusted to be accurate through the on-line fine tuning. Finally, the simulation and experimental result fur the control of steering and speed of AGV system illustrate the validity of the proposed control scheme. These results for the proposed method also show that it has better performance than other conventional controller design methods.

PDP ITO 패턴유리의 결함 검사시스템 개발 (Development of Defect Inspection System for PDP ITO Patterned Glass)

  • The formation degree of sustain (ITO pattern) decides quality of PDP (Plasma Display Panel). For this reason, it makes efforts in searching defects more than 30 un as 100%. Now, the existing inspection is dependent upon naked eye or microscope in off-line PDP manufacturing process. In this study developed prototype inspection system of PDP 170 glass is based on line-scan mechanism. Developed system creates information that detects and sorts kinds of defect automatically. Designed inspection technology adopts multi-vision method by slip-beam formation for the minimum of inspection time and detection algorithm is embodied in detection ability of developed system. Designed algorithm had to make good use of kernel matrix that draws up an approach to geometry. A characteristic of defects, as pin hole, substance, protrusion, are extracted from blob analysis method. Defects, as open, short, spots and et al, are distinguished by line type inspection algorithm. In experiment, we could have ensured ability of inspection that can be detected with reliability of up to 95% in about 60 seconds.

  • 무선 인터넷과 모바일 기기의 보급으로 언제 어디서나 원하는 정보를 얻을 수 있는 유비쿼터스 환경을 위한 인프라가 구축되면서 교육을 포함한 다양한 분야에서 오프라인과 온라인 컨텐츠를 동시에 이용함으로써 정보 전달의 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방법에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 사용자에게 모바일 기기를 이용하여 오프라인과 온라인 컨텐츠를 함께 제공하여 교육의 효과를 높일 수 있는 혼합형 모바일 교육 시스템(Mixed Mobile Education System: MME)을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 기존의 연구와 달리 사용자에게 자연스러운 환경을 제공하기 위해서 부가적인 태그를 사용하지 않는다. 태그를 사용하는 시스템의 경우 새로운 데이터의 등록이 어렵고 유사한 내용의 오프라인 컨텐츠 사용이 불가능하기 때문이다. 본 논문에서 우리는 저화질의 카메라를 통해 입력받은 영상에서 잡음 색상 왜곡, 크기 및 기울기 변화에 영향을 적게 받는 특징점을 추출하고 오프라인 컨텐츠를 인식하기 위해 Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 또한 클라이언트-서버 구조를 사용함으로써 모바일 장치의 제한적인 저장 능력 문제를 해결하고 데이터의 등록 및 수정이 용이하도록 하였다. 실험을 통해 기존의 흔합형 교육 시스템과의 성능을 비교하고 제안된 시스템의 장단점을 확인하였으며, 시스템을 실생활에 적용하였을 경우 다양한 상황에서도 사용자에게 만족할만한 성능을 제공함을 확인하였다.

  • Fieldbus system should be designed by considering the number of sensors/actors(actuators+ controllers) and their sampling times. But the number of sensors/actors and which are connected to the network bus can be varied by addition and/or fault of the field devices. That variation decreases the efficiency of system which is off-line designed optimally. This paper proposes an algorithm that ensures transmission of cyclic data even though there is the number change in the field devices. We assign the different weight values to cyclic data and acyclic data. By simulation and experiment, the cyclic and acyclic data are processed via the proposed network, and the results are compared with those of the Profibus system. It is shown that the proposed algorithm is more robust with the uncertainties of the field devices of the control system.
