Component integration Test Modeling with UML (UML 기반 콤포넌트 통합 테스팅)

  • 객체 지향 소프트웨어의 확장과 더불어 소프트웨어의 재사용성의 중요도가 부각되면서 소프트웨어를 콤포넌트 단위로 구현하는 추세이다. 따라서 콤포넌트 기반의 소프트웨어 개발에서의 통합 테스트가 중요한 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 그러나 콤포넌트들의 통합 테스트에 대한 연구는 미흡한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 UML을 기반으로 체계적인 통합 테스트 모형을 제안하고. 나아가 본 논문에서는 "멀티미디어 정보처리 시스템"의 사례를 본 논문의 콤포넌트 통합 테스트 모형에 적용한 결과를 분석하여 기술한다. 콤포넌트 통합 테스트 모형은 UML(Unified Modeling Language)의 순서도(sequence diagram)와 협력도(collaboration diagram)를 이용하여 전체 시스템에서 UML의 사건흐름을 구성하는 콤포넌트들 사이의 인터페이스 영역에 존재하는 오류들을 추출한다. 그리고 UML을 기반으로 통합 테스트를 수행함으로써, 테스트 준비 작업을 줄이고, 기존의 UML 지원 도구들과 연계하여 테스트 자동화 도구의 구현을 앞당길 수 있다. 또한 시스템의 순차적 흐름 뿐 아니라, 동시에 수행되는 흐름에 대한 정보까지 모두 수용하여 테스트함으로써, 콤포넌트 기반의 분산 환경의 특성에 적합하다. Abstract As the object-oriented approach to software development becomes more mature, software development from pre-existing, independently developed components becomes an important aim of software engineering. Therefore, integration testing becomes an important aspect of component-based software development. However, there has been little work done in the area of the component-based integration testing. In this paper, we propose the "component integration test model" which is based on UML. Furthermore, we describe a case study on "Multimedia Information Processing System" conducted to analyse the result from which our model is applied. Our model extracts the faults, which exist in interfaces of components, using sequence diagram and collaboration diagram of UML(Unified Modeling Language). As our model is based on UML, the preparation effort for testing is reduced and its test-tools can be implemented more easily through linking existing UML tool. And our model accepts the information of concurrent flow represented by collaboration diagram as well as sequential flow, so it is more suitable to component-based distributed environment.based distributed environment.

  • Web applications have different structural characteristics from conventional applications with the structural language or object-oriented language or 4GL. A web application typically consists of server-side script elements which run on web sewers, client-side script elements which run on the client web-browser, HTML elements that contains context. Therefore web applications developer concurrently uses 3 or more development language. Cyclomatic Complexity for Web Application(CCWA) metrics reflected composite complexity of each element. In this paper, we applied cyclomatic complexity for web application metrics with Complexity level indicator to web application. We applied it to 10 web applications that were developed in practical business. High complexity web applications classify into four type(MENU, FORM, CTRL, GEN). This paper has contributed to practical use of engineering approach for web application.

  • This study is a theoretical research to investigate a methodological framework for analyzing the representation of women in fashion photography. For this study, this article attempts to develop a conceptual framework of the visual representation system through Lacan's gaze theory, and analyze the representational aspects of women configured by gendered characteristics in the visual representation system. Structuralizing the visual representation system based on that theory, the gaze, the image/screen, and the subject of representation in the Lacan's triangle diagram are replaced by the camera as the signifier of gaze, the representational image, and the seeing subject respectively. In the visual representation system, the camera creates a male-oriented visual field and structures a relationship of gendered power between male gaze as the seeing subject and female eye as an object to be seen. Looking into the representational aspects of women in this visual representation system structuralized by male gaze, women are represented in a way that reflects male desire through masquerade to comply with the patriarchal gaze, or differences that emphasizes the uniqueness and autonomy of women released from a patriarchal discourse. This study would be significant in that it provides theoretical basis for an analytic approach to the representation of women in fashion photography which we accept as a fixed one through the ideology of naturalization.

  • The effect of Application system with class units is not sufficient because of independency and reuse of Component elements due to component abstraction based on only source code. Therefore We need to apply design pattern approach to represent not only the problem abstraction but also information and relationship between system elements for generic solutions of specific domain, Also, it is essential to software reverse engineering acquiring the correct understandings of the system through examining the existing systems and utilizing the acquired knowledges as reusable resources. In this paper, the extraction algorithm with JAVA and the validity of applying reverse engineering with extracting design patterns from source codes of the existing object-oriented system; are devised. The architecture of automatic tool is designed and implemented for 1) automatic extraction of design patterns and 2) reuse tool for retrieving, editing and rebuilding of design patterns.

  • This study aims at introducing the subjective experiences of the users who have been involved in care management, and finding out the meaning and essence of services. Total 16 interviewees who have experienced case management participated in a focus interview. The analysis of raw data brought about total 408 meaning units. Then, through restructuring and summarizing, 122 units of central meaning were revealed. After classifying 23 topics were found. Then, after consistent phenomenological comparison among the 23 topics, 7 essential topics were discovered. Based on the results and discussion above, this Study would like to suggest : approach to integrated care management of family, the meaning of social worker as the partner of life, the object of care management is the change from isolated being to understand the each other.

Development of a software framework for sequential data assimilation and its applications in Japan

  • Data assimilation techniques have received growing attention due to their capability to improve prediction in various areas. Despite of their potentials, applicable software frameworks to probabilistic approaches and data assimilation are still limited because the most of hydrologic modelling software are based on a deterministic approach. In this study, we developed a hydrological modelling framework for sequential data assimilation, namely MPI-OHyMoS. MPI-OHyMoS allows user to develop his/her own element models and to easily build a total simulation system model for hydrological simulations. Unlike process-based modelling framework, this software framework benefits from its object-oriented feature to flexibly represent hydrological processes without any change of the main library. In this software framework, sequential data assimilation based on the particle filters is available for any hydrologic models considering various sources of uncertainty originated from input forcing, parameters and observations. The particle filters are a Bayesian learning process in which the propagation of all uncertainties is carried out by a suitable selection of randomly generated particles without any assumptions about the nature of the distributions. In MPI-OHyMoS, ensemble simulations are parallelized, which can take advantage of high performance computing (HPC) system. We applied this software framework for several catchments in Japan using a distributed hydrologic model. Uncertainty of model parameters and radar rainfall estimates is assessed simultaneously in sequential data assimilation.

  • This study introduces a software system for supporting the engineering process of container terminals. The design procedure consists of data input, capacity requirements, alternative design, alternative evaluation, and results output. In order to design and evaluate alternatives rapidly, a set of libraries for container terminals was developed. The libraries consist of Wharf, Yard, TravellingArea, and Gate. The architecture of the set of libraries was designed by an object-oriented approach. Various types of container terminal models can be constructed by using a user friendly interface, the CAD based environment, and the combinations of the elements of the libraries. Alternative models can be evaluated by a simulation.

Integration of Extended IFC-BIM and Ontology for Information Management of Bridge Inspection (확장 IFC-BIM 기반 정보모델과 온톨로지를 활용한 교량 점검데이터 관리방법)

  • To utilize building information modeling (BIM) technology at the bridge maintenance stage, it is necessary to integrate large quantities of bridge inspection and model data for object-oriented information management. This research aims to establish the benefits of utilizing the extended industry foundation class (IFC)-BIM and ontology for bridge inspection information management. The IFC entities were extended to represent the bridge objects, and a method of generating the extended IFC-based information model was proposed. The bridge inspection ontology was also developed by extraction and classification of inspection concepts from the AASHTO standard. The classified concepts and their relationships were mapped to the ontology based on the semantic triples approach. Finally, the extended IFC-based BIM model was integrated with the ontology for bridge inspection data management. The effectiveness of the proposed framework for bridge inspection information management by integration of the extended IFC-BIM and ontology was tested and verified by extracting bridge inspection data via the SPARQL query.

A Study on Automatic Classification of Class Diagram Images (클래스 다이어그램 이미지의 자동 분류에 관한 연구)

  • UML class diagrams are used to visualize the static aspects of a software system and are involved from analysis and design to documentation and testing. Software modeling using class diagrams is essential for software development, but it may be not an easy activity for inexperienced modelers. The modeling productivity could be improved with a dataset of class diagrams which are classified by domain categories. To this end, this paper provides a classification method for a dataset of class diagram images. First, real class diagrams are selected from collected images. Then, class names are extracted from the real class diagram images and the class diagram images are classified according to domain categories. The proposed classification model has achieved 100.00%, 95.59%, 97.74%, and 97.77% in precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy, respectively. The accuracy scores for the domain categorization are distributed between 81.1% and 95.2%. Although the number of class diagram images in the experiment is not large enough, the experimental results indicate that it is worth considering the proposed approach to class diagram image classification.

  • The growth of mobile devices in Internet of Things (IoT) leads to a number of intelligent buildings related IoT applications. For instance, home automation controlling system uses client system such web apps on smartphone or web service to access the home server by sending control commands. The home server receives the command, then controls for instance the light system. The gateway based RESTful technology responsible for handling clients' requests attests an internet latency in case a large number of clients' requests submit toward the gateway increases. In this paper, we propose the design tasks of the IoT gateway for handling concurrency events. In the procedure of designing tasks, concurrency is best understood by employing multiple levels of abstraction. The way that is eminently to accomplish concurrency is to build an object-oriented environment with support for messages passing between concurrent objects. We also investigate the performance of event-driven architecture for building IoT gateway using node.js on one side and communication protocol based message-oriented middleware known as XMPP to handle communications of intelligent building control devices connected to the gateway through a centralized hub. The Node.JS is 40% faster than the traditional web server side features thread-based approach. The use of Node.js server-side handles a large number of clients' requests, then therefore, reduces delay in performing predefined actions automatically in intelligent building IoT environment.
