고온초전도 전력케이블 저온용기의 최적단열설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of Optimum Insulation Conditions of a HTS Power Cable Cryostat)

  • The object of this study is to find the optimal insulation design conditions of a HTS power cable cryostat. The optimum condition of a cable cryostat is obtained by varying types of MLIs, cable core weights, spacer diameters, winding pitches and MLI layer numbers. As the weight of cable core is increased, conduction heat transfer from surroundings to cable cryostat is increased. But as the spacer pitch is increased from 120 mm to 200 mm, the heat leak of cable cryostat remains almost constant. The optimal number of MLI layers is suggested. Double ply MLI is more effective than triple ply MLI and the insulation effect is best when the number of MLI layers is 36.

CFS로 보강된 RC보의 피로거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Behaviors of RC Beams Strengthened with Carbon Fiber Sheets)

  • Carbon fiber sheets are widely used for strengthening the deteriorated RC structures. However most studies on the strengthening method of RC structures with carbon fiber sheets are concerning static problems. The purpose of this experimental study is to present the basic data on fatigue behaviors of. RC beams strengthened with carbon fiber sheets. The experimental parameters of this study are ; 1) the existence of U-shaped carbon fiber sheets at the ends for anchoring, 2) the number of carbon fiber sheet layers in strengthening the RC beams, 3) the load levels of $60\%\~90\%$ of the static bending moment strength, which is obtained form the static tests. Experimental results are estimated from the relationships of load level, displacement, number of repeated load and released energy. It is concluded that U-shaped carbon fiber sheets for end anchoring is very effective and the beams strengthened with one layer of carbon fiber sheet have longer fatigue life than that with three layers.

Experimental and numerical study on energy absorption of lattice-core sandwich beam

  • Quasi-static three-point bending tests on sandwich beams with expanded metal sheets as core were conducted. Relationships between the force and displacement at the mid-span of the sandwich beams were obtained from the experiments. Numerical simulations were carried out using ABAQUS/EXPLCIT and the results were thoroughly compared with the experimental results. A parametric analysis was performed using a Box-Behnken design (BBD) for the design of experiments (DOE) techniques and a finite element modeling. Then, the influence of the core layers number, size of the cell and, thickness of the substrates was investigated. The results showed that the increase in the size of the expanded metal cell in a reasonable range was required to improve the performance of the structure under bending collapse. It was found that core layers number and size of the cell was key factors governing the quasi-static response of the sandwich beams with lattice cores.

다중계층 프로토콜의 적합성시험 방안 (Conformance Testing of Multi-protocol IUTs)

  • To declare conformance of multi-protocol Implementation Under Test(IUT), every layer of the multi-protocol IUT should be tested. According to ISO9646, single-layer test method is applied to testing the highest layer of multi-protocol IUT and single-layer embedded test method is used for the layers by layer all the protocols in a multi-protocol IUT. This paper proposes a new method for testing a multi-protocol IUT. The proposed test method assumes that a multi-protocol IUT is under test and that the interfaces between the layers cannot be controlled or observed by the tester. We apply the proposed test method to TCP/IP and compare the application results with those of the existing test turns out that the proposed test method significantly reduces the number of test cases as well as the number of test events while providing the same test coverage. In addition, the proposed test method shows the capability to locate the layer that is source of failure in testing multi-protocol IUTs.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Zooplankton in Gwangyang and Sachon Bay, Korea

  • Zooplankton dynamics were investigated based on samples collected monthly during the period between November 1998 and October 1999 at 15 stations in Gwangyang and Sachon Bay. Zooplankters were quantitatively collected with horizontal towing through the surface and oblique hauling from the bottom to surface at each station, simultaneously. A total of 88 taxa of zooplankton were distributed and 60 taxa were identified to species. Copepods showed the prosperity in species number of 52 species. Number of taxa occurred in samples hauled obliquely always showed $2\~5$ more species than those captured in the surface except for stations near the Namhae bridge. In waters near Namhae bridge, fast current seemed to mix waters vertically. Seasonally these differences were more distinct in the spring and summer than those in other seasons possibly due to the stratification in warmer seasons. In quantitative aspects, differences between two layers seemed to be obscure. Spatial and temporal variations in species diversity of copepods showed more prosperity in pelagic realm than those in the surface. Our collection carrying out in day time might be one of the important reason to cause these differences in zooplankton dynamics between two layers.

파티클보드에 보강된 유리섬유의 layer 수가 기계적 성질에 미치는 영향 (The effect of mechanical properties on the particleboard reinforced with fiberglass layer number)

  • This research examined the technical feasibility of composite that had 2- and 3- layers of fiberglass reinforcement to enhance the load carrying capacity of particleboard. Specimens were prepared from commercial particleboard. Results indicated that bending properties, hardness and impact bending energy increased as the number of layers of fiberglass reinforcement increased. The wood screw withdrawal load only decreased at the 3-layer of fiberglass reinforcement. The technique developed by this study may increase an opportunity to use particleboard for structural purposes.

  • The number of layers in rigid PCB(printed circuit board) is restricted, so the number of components can be embedded in module is restricted also. But using flexible multilayer PCB, the layers over than 7 can be evaluated. In this study, to verify the possibility of application of flexible multilayer PCB to RF modules, multilayered embedded capacitor is fabricated and analyzed. The characteristics of embedded capacitor is analyzed and compared to that of MLCC and LTCC capacitor. Embedded capacitor has better electrical features than MLCC and compatible one to LTCC capacitor.

등간격의 매트로 보강된 모래지반의 보강층수에 따른 지지력에 관한 연구 (A Study on Bearing Capacity according to the Number of Reinforcement Layers in Sandy Ground Reinforced by Mats of Equal-intervals)

  • 성토지반의 지지력을 향상시키기 위하여 지반개량이나 다짐과 같은 일반적인 방법들이 많이 이용되고 있다. 하치만, 최근에는 내구성이 크고 강한 합성수지와 같은 재료들이 개발되어 실용화됨으로서, 보강토 공법이 널리 적용되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는, 매트로 보강된 모래지반상의 대상기초에 대한 모형실험을 평면변형률 상태에서 실시하여, 지지력의 증대효과와 지반의 거동을 관찰하였다. 그리고 지지력의 산정식을 개발하여 실험결과와 비교 검토 하였다.

기하학적 매개변수에 의한 평직복합재료의 저 균일도 문제 (Low degree of homogeneity issue on the effective moduli of plain weave textile composites)

  • 본 논문에서는 평직복합재료에 있어서 섬유다발의 위상각 변화와 적층수에 따른 등가탄성계수의 저 균일도 문제를 연구하였다. 각 적층수에 따라 단순히 적층된 모델과 무한히 반복되어 적층된 모델에 대해 단위구조 해석을 수행하였다. 수치실험을 통해 탄성계수를 계산하였고, 이를 통계적으로 처리하였다. 계산 결과 평직복합재료의 등가탄성계수는 위상각과 적층수의 변화에 크게 의존하며 임의의 조합에 대하여 그 분포양상은 큰 차이를 보였으나, 전반적으로 적층수가 증가함에 따라 균일도가 높아지는 경향을 보였다.

멱급수 반대칭하중을 받는 다층재 중앙균열의 응력세기계수 (Stress Intensity Factor for Multi-Layered Material Under Polynomial Anti-Symmetric Loading)

  • A model is constructed to evaluate the stress intensity factors for a center crack subjected to polynomial anti-symmetric loading in a layered material. A Fredholm integral equation is derived by Fourier integral transform method. The integral equation is numerically analyzed to evaluate the effects of the ratios of shear modulus, Poisson's ratio and crack length to layer thickness as well as the number of layers on the stress intensity factor. The stress intensity factors are approached to constant values as the number of layers increase and decrease as the polynomial power of the loading increase. In case of the E-glass/Epoxy composite, dimensionless stress intensity factor is affected by cracked-resin layer thickness.
