소립종자용 평면배열 진공노즐식 반자동 파종기 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Semi-automatic Seeder with Vacuum Nozzles of Quadratic Arrangement for Small-sized Seeds)

  • A large scale seeding system was stable in terms of techniques but a convenient seeding system of small size was unsettled. This study was performed to develop a semi-automatic seeder for small and medium sized scale farm. To investigate optimum needle diameter and vacuum pressure was used vacuum suction needle seeder. Although the needle diameter according to the kinds of seed was different, the needle diameter for salvia and lettuce seed was suitable for 0.34 mm needle nozzle and 0.4 mm taper nozzle. The prototype consisted a seeding frame attached with needle nozzle, seed hopper, vibrating device, seeding part, vacuum ejector, seed tube etc.. As the result with the experiments, the seeding rate of the seeder was 92% and more at 0.34 mm diameter needle nozzle and 0.4 mm taper nozzle. Eccentric weight for seed hopper vibration was suitable that weight is 11 g and eccentric distance is 0.5 mm. Vibration acceleration of upward direction was 0.363 m/$s^2$. Working capacity of the seeder was possible 160 trays per hour. It was possible for sowing small seeds but it was required to make compact and simple model.

간헐 다공 디젤 분무의 미립화 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Atomization Characteristics in an Intermittent Multi-hole Diesel Spray)

  • This experimental study is to investigate the intermittent spray characteristics of the multi-hole diesel nozzle with a 2-spring nozzle holder. Without changing the total orifice exit area, its hole number varied from 3($d_n=0.42mm$) to 8($d_n$=0.25mm). Through the use of the 2-D PDPA(phase Doppler particle analyzer), the droplet diameter and the velocity of the diesel spray injected intermittently from the multi-hole nozzle into the still ambient were measured. And the calculations of time-resolved diameters, SMD and AMD were made. The results can be summarized as follows. The spray of the multi-hole nozzle consisted of three parts. These are the leading edge, the central part and the trailing edge. And most of droplets produced at the trailing edge of spray. In the spray flow field, the measuring position which represented the intermittent spray characteristics well was near the nozzle tip. But at the downstream of the spray, its characteristics disappeared, and spray behavior showed a quasi steady state regardless of the time evolution of the spray. The overall mean SMD of the spray increased with the spray development, and showed their maximum value near 1.5ms regardless of hole number.

레이져 절단에서 노즐이 미치는 영향

  • Quality of cut is strongly dependent on the cutting pressure, so this relationship can be identified by pressure measuring system. In this paper, the experiments presented were performed with the devised pressure measuring system and the laser cutting of STS 304. Convergent type and convergent-divergent type nozzle were used for pressure variation of the distance between nozzle and workpiece. In laser cutting of STS 304, 1.0 kW CO $\_$2/ laser used. The convergent type nozzle(1.0 mm diameter) pressured above 3 kgf/cm $\^$2/, the MSD(Mach Shock Disk) created, which caused the the pressure variations of the distance between nozzle and workpiece. The maximum cutting pressure exists in accordance with the variation of distance. In spite of far distance the maximum cutting pressure is achieved by using the pressure measuring system. The higher cutting pressure beneath the workpiece the less quantity of dross and the kerf width. Since the higher cutting pressure helps to remove the quantity of dross and to stop the exothermic energy into the material. The optimum laser cutting parameter of STS 304(2.0 mm thickness) with the convergent type nozzle(1.0 mm diameter)is 0.75 mm and 2.5 mm distance between nozzle and workpiece, 4 kgf/cm $\^$2/ cutting pressure. In 3.0 mm thickness case, 1.5 mm and 2.25 mm distance is achieved for good quality.

  • Experimental study was conducted to investigate the effects of ultra-high injection pressure and nozzle hole diameter on diesel flow and spray characteristics. Electronically controlled ultra-high pressure fuel injection system was made to supply the fuel of ultra-high pressure consistently. Three injection pressures, 80, 160, and 250MPa were applied. Four type of injectors with identical eight nozzle holes were used. The four injectors have nozzle hole diameters of 115, 105, 95, and $85{\mu}m$ respectively. Injection quantity and rate were measured to investigate flow characteristics according to injection pressures and nozzle hole diameters. Mie-scattering and shadowgraph were performed to visualize liquid and vapor phases of diesel spray in a constant volume combustion chamber (CVCC). Ambient conditions of high pressure and high temperature in a diesel engine were simulated by using CVCC.

Thrust Characteristics and Nozzle Role of Water Jet Propulsion

  • Surface pressure integration and momentum method were respectively performed to evaluate the impeller thrust and the system thrust of a contra-rotating axial flow water jet propulsion, and an interesting phenomenon so-called thrust paradox was revealed. To explain the paradox, the impeller thrust and the system thrust were physically and theoretically analyzed, the results show that the impeller thrust is head involved and is determined by the hydraulic parameters upstream and downstream the impeller, while the momentum method depicted by a classic equation is valid simply under the best efficiency point. Consequently, the role of a water jet propulsion nozzle was deduced that the nozzle is mainly to limit the flow rate that crosses the impeller and to assure the system working under the best efficiency condition apart from its ability to produce momentum difference. Related mathematical formula expressed the nozzle diameter is the dominant variable used to calculate the working condition of the water jet propulsion. Therefore the nozzle diameter can be steadily estimated by the former expression. The system thrust scaling characteristics under various speeds were displayed lastly.

  • 압축성 유동장의 주된 특징은 유동장의 형성과정에 의존한다는 것은 잘 알려져 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 비평형 응축을 수반하는 초음속 제트유동장의 발달에 미치는 제트의 시간이력을 조사하는 것이다. 특히 초음속 습공기 제트에서 마하디스크 직경과 위치의 거동이 노즐압력비와 초기 상대습도의 항으로 소개된다. 대기흡입식 풍동설비에 장착된 노즐의 출구에서 부족팽창된 습공기 제트를 얻기 위해 노즐의 압력비와 초기상대습도를 변화시켰다. 마하디스크의 직경은 동일한 압력비에서 상대습도가 증가함에 따라 증가하지만, 그 위치는 상류로 이동하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 노즐의 작동압력비가 증가하는 경우의 마하디스크 직경과 발생위치가 감소하는 경우보다 더 크다.

정전분무의 유체 물성치와 정전 매개변수 따른 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics according to Fluid Properties and Electric Parameters of Electrospray)

  • Electrospray is used in various industries because it can produce continuous and uniform droplets. However, it is difficult to find optimal spraying condition due to lack of data in various conditions. In this study, various conditions were divided into electric parameters and fluid property. The electric parameters set Nozzle to Substrate(NTS), nozzle diameters and the fluid property set viscosity and conductivity as conditions. In this study, it observes spray patterns, Sauter Mean Diameter(SMD) according to conditions. As a result, fluid properties had a greater effect on the cone-Jet mode than on the nozzle diameter, NTS, and flowrate. All of solutions have Stable cone-jet mode at voltage of 8.5 kV, NTS of 20 mm and nozzle diameter of 0.2 mm. SMD has 27% different depending on viscosity and conductivity. The increased flowrate and viscosity are rising break-up length and thickening jet also jet is thinned by increased conductivity. Experiments have confirmed that the jet is thickened by increased flowrate and viscosity, and that the jet is thinned by conductivity.

충돌면과 노즐의 형상이 원형충돌제트에 의한 충돌순음 발생에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nozzle Configuration and Impinging Surface on the Impinging Tone Generation by Circular Jets)

  • The effect of the configuration of the nozzle and the impinging surface on the characteristics of the hole-tones has been experimentally investigated. It is found that the plate-tone is a special case of hole-tones, where the hole diameter is zero. The jet velocity range for hole-tones is divided into the low velocity region associated with laminar jet and the high velocity region with turbulent jet. The frequency of the tone is that for the shear layer instability at the nozzle exit or that attainable by a cascade of vortex pairing process with increase of the impinging distance. When the distance is longer than one diameter the frequency decreases to the terminal value near the preferred frequency of the column mode instability, in the range 0.23< $St_d$<0.53, where $St_d$ is the Strouhal number defined by $fd/U_J$, f the frequency, d the nozzle diameter, and $U_J$ the exit velocity. While the convection speed of the downstream vortex, in the present study, is almost constant at low-speed laminar jet, it increases with distance at high-speed turbulent jet. As the frequency increases, the convection speed decreases in the low frequency range corresponding to the preferred mode, in agreement with the existing experimental data for a free jet.

노즐 구경에 따른 초소수력 펠턴 터빈의 효율 및 성능 특성 (Performance Characteristics and Efficiencies of Micro-Hydro Pelton Turbine with Nozzle Diameter Variation)

  • This paper deals with performance characteristics and efficiencies of Pelton turbine can be applied as one of ERDs (Energy Recovery Devices) of PRO (Pressure Retarded Osmosis) system for desalination. The objective of this study is experimentally estimating the performance of micro-scale Pelton turbine for PRO pilot plant. Especially the performance characteristics with variations of jet nozzle diameter of Pelton turbine are discussed in detail. In order to do this, lab scale test rig of Pelton turbine was made for performance test, which includes water tank, Pelton wheel with buckets, jet nozzle and torque brake and so on. The parameter effects related on Pelton turbine's efficiency were investigated and discussed on the influence of the variations of load and speed ratio.

유해배기가스 저감을 위한 Hole형 노즐의 미립화 특성실험 (Atomization Characteristics Experiment of Hole Type Nozzle for the Reduction of Harmful Exhausted Gas)

  • A simplified experiment was performed to figure out the atomization characteristics of rice-bran oil which it is highly viscous liquid by applying ultrasonic energy. A spray system, an ultrasonic system, and three kinds of hole-type nozzles(hole diameter: 0.31, 0.34, 0.37mm) were manufactured. To investigate the effects of ultrasonic energy on the atomization of a highly viscous liquid, a phase doppler particle analyzer was used for measurement and calculation of spray droplets data. Nozzle opening pressures were chosen of 3 levels, i.e, 16, 20, and 24MPa. As a result, it could be concluded that the ultrasonic energy was effective to improve the spray atomization when it applied to the fuel by means of 3 different nozzles because of the effects of the liquid fuel cavitation and relaxation between molecules caused by ultrasonic energy. The improvement rate of the spray atomization by the ultrasonic method compared with the conventional spray increased about 15% in the case of hole type nozzles. By increasing of the nozzle opening pressure and decreasing of the hole diameter, the atomization of spray droplets was improved.
