Damage detection using both energy and displacement damage index on the ASCE benchmark problem

  • This paper aims to present a novelty damage detection method to identify damage locations by the simultaneous use of both the energy and displacement damage indices. Using this novelty method, the damaged location and even the damaged floor are accurately detected. As a first method, a combination of the instantaneous frequency energy index (EDI) and the structural acceleration responses are used. To evaluate the first method and also present a rapid assessment method, the Displacement Damage Index (DDI), which consists of the error reliability (β) and Normal Probability Density Function (NPDF) indices, are introduced. The innovation of this method is the simultaneous use of displacement-acceleration responses during one process, which is more effective in the rapid evaluation of damage patterns with velocity vectors. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, various damage scenarios of the ASCE benchmark problem, and the effects of measurement noise were studied numerically. Extensive analyses show that the rapid proposed method is capable of accurately detecting the location of sparse damages through the building. Finally, the proposed method was validated by experimental studies of a six-story steel building structure with single and multiple damage cases.

  • Many studies have suggested that e-commerce value creation potential depends on four interdependent factors Lock-In, Complementarity, Efficiency, and Novelty. In order to survive in the recent fierce competition, companies have also secured e-Trust that strengthens long-term business relationships by reducing consumer uncertainty. This study, while analyzing the value creation factors (Lock-in, Complementarity, Efficiency, Novelty, e-Trust) of recent e-commerce (online shopping mall) companies from the point of view of purchase intention, customer value (Functional value, Emotional value, Social value) We present an academic proposition that can also examine the mediating effect of value). First, through previous studies on value-based strategy and value creation in e-commerce, various discussions on the theoretical background necessary for effective value-based strategy establishment and strategy execution of e-commerce (online shopping mall) companies were reviewed. Second, it provides academic discussion and practical implications by presenting academic propositions on the value creation factors of e-commerce (online shopping mall) companies, purchase intentions, and customer value, and confirming the basis through empirical analysis.

GNSS 부분 음영 지역에서 마할라노비스 거리를 이용한 GNSS/다중 IMU 센서 기반 측위 알고리즘 (GNSS/Multiple IMUs Based Navigation Strategy Using the Mahalanobis Distance in Partially GNSS-denied Environments)

  • The existing studies on the localization in the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) denied environment usually exploit low-cost MEMS IMU (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems Inertial Measurement Unit) sensors to replace the GNSS signals. However, the navigation system still requires GNSS signals for the normal environment. This paper presents an integrated GNSS/INS (Inertial Navigation System) navigation system which combines GNSS and multiple IMU sensors using extended Kalman filter in partially GNSS-denied environments. The position and velocity of the INS and GNSS are used as the inputs to the integrated navigation system. The Mahalanobis distance is used for novelty detection to detect the outlier of GNSS measurements. When the abnormality is detected in GNSS signals, GNSS data is excluded from the fusion process. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated using MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a higher degree of positioning accuracy in the partially GNSS-denied environment.

Stackelberg Game between Multi-Leader and Multi-Follower for Detecting Black Hole and Warm Hole Attacks In WSN

  • Objective: • To detect black hole and warm hole attacks in wireless sensor networks. • To give a solution for energy depletion and security breach in wireless sensor networks. • To address the security problem using strategic decision support system. Methods: The proposed stackelberg game is used to make the spirited relations between multi leaders and multi followers. In this game, all cluster heads are acts as leaders, whereas agent nodes are acts as followers. The game is initially modeled as Quadratic Programming and also use backtracking search optimization algorithm for getting threshold value to determine the optimal strategies of both defender and attacker. Findings: To find optimal payoffs of multi leaders and multi followers are based on their utility functions. The attacks are easily detected based on some defined rules and optimum results of the game. Finally, the simulations are executed in matlab and the impacts of detection of black hole and warm hole attacks are also presented in this paper. Novelty: The novelty of this study is to considering the stackelberg game with backtracking search optimization algorithm (BSOA). BSOA is based on iterative process which tries to minimize the objective function. Thus we obtain the better optimization results than the earlier approaches.

Product Characteristics and Customer Purchase Intention in Live-Streaming Commerce

  • Purpose: This study investigated the relationship between product characteristics and customer purchase intention in live-streaming commerce. Research design, data and methodology: Six independent factors namely, scarcity, customization, discount, experimentalism, novelty, and informativeness were identified to analyze their effects on customer purchase intention in live-streaming commerce. The perceived value was accepted as a mediator between independent and dependent variables. Data were gathered from 643 respondents who experienced purchases in live-streaming commerce in China. Results: The results show that product characteristics strongly affect customer purchase intention, and perceived value plays an important mediating role in live-streaming commerce. Therefore, when developing a sales strategy in live-streaming commerce, product characteristics. Such as customization, discount, experimentalism, novelty, and information must be considered. Conclusions: The majority of live-streaming commerce research has focused on platform interactions and consumers. This study is meaningful in that it dealt with product characteristics and confirmed the mediating roles of perceived value in live-streaming commerce. The findings of this study have significant implications and offer valuable insights and practical guidance for both the academic community and practitioners engaged in the field of live-streaming commerce.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS OF ROLLING BEARINGS USING UNSUPERVISED DYNAMIC TIME WARPING-AIDED ARTIFICIAL IMMUNE SYSTEM

  • Rotating machines heavily rely on an intricate network of interconnected sub-components, with bearing failures accounting for a substantial proportion (40% to 90%) of all such failures. To address this issue, intelligent algorithms have been developed to evaluate vibrational signals and accurately detect faults, thereby reducing the reliance on expert knowledge and lowering maintenance costs. Within the field of machine learning, Artificial Immune Systems (AIS) have exhibited notable potential, with applications ranging from malware detection in computer systems to fault detection in bearings, which is the primary focus of this study. In pursuit of this objective, we propose a novel procedure for detecting novel instances of anomalies in varying operating conditions, utilizing only the signals derived from the healthy state of the analyzed machine. Our approach incorporates AIS augmented by Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). The experimental outcomes demonstrate that the AIS-DTW method yields a considerable improvement in anomaly detection rates (up to 53.83%) compared to the conventional AIS. In summary, our findings indicate that our method represents a significant advancement in enhancing the resilience of AIS-based novelty detection, thereby bolstering the reliability of rotating machines and reducing the need for expertise in bearing fault detection.

Distribution of Air Tickets through Online Platform Recommendation Algorithms

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze a large amount of data from online ticket distribution platforms that offer multiple airlines and different routes so that they can improve their ticket distribution marketing strategies and provide services that are more suitable for consumer's needs. The results of this study will help airlines improve the quality of their online platform services to provide more benefits and convenience by providing access to multiple airlines and routes around the world on one platform. Research design, data and methodology: For the study, 200 people completed the survey between May 1 and June 15, 2024, of which 191 copies were used in the study. Results: The hypothesis testing results of this study showed that among the components of the recommendation algorithm, decision comport, novelty, and evoked interest recurrence had a positive effect on perceived recommendation quality, but curiosity did not have a positive effect on recommendation quality. The perceived recommendation quality of the online platform positively influenced recommendation satisfaction, and the higher the perceived recommendation quality, the higher the intention to continue the relationship. Finally, higher recommendation satisfaction was associated with higher relationship continuation intention. Conclusion: it's important to continue researching online ticketing platforms. Online platforms will also need to be systems that use technology and data analytics to provide a better user experience and more benefits.

SNS정보속성이 유용성지각과 확산의도에 미치는 영향 -마켓메이븐경향(Market Mavenism)의 조절효과- (The Effect of SNS Information Attributes on Usability and Diffusion Intention -Moderating Effect of Market Mavenism.)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 SNS에 적합한 정보속성을 탐색하고, SNS에서 정보의 생성과 확산에 기여하는 개인이나 집단과 그 영향을 확인하는 것이다. 연구자들은 SNS환경에 적합한 정보속성으로 정확성, 양면성, 참신성, 다양성과 경험성의 다섯 요인을 추출하고, 제 변수와 정보의 유용성 및 정보 확산 의도의 인과관계를 분석하였다. 또한 SNS에서 정보를 수용하고 편집하며 정보확산을 주도하는 개인 또는 소비자인 마켓메이븐의 역할과 함께 변수 간 관계에 대한 마켓메이븐경향의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 연구가설의 검증을 위해 549개의 온라인설문자료를 이용하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. SNS정보속성 중에서 정확성, 양면성, 경험성 요인이 사용자의 정보유용성 지각에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 참신성과 다양성 요인은 통계적 인과관계를 발견하지 못하였다. 전체집단과 달리 마켓메이븐경향이 높은 집단에서는 정확성과 경험적 요인이 정보의 유용성지각에 약하거나 부정적인 영향을 주었고, 전체 SNS 사용자집단에서 기각되었던 참신성과 다양성 요인은 유용성지각에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

정보검색에서의 사용자 중심 적합성 판단 모형 (User-centered relevance judgement model for information retrieval)

  • 본 연구는 정보검색의 핵심 개념인 적합성을 사용자 중심 관점에서 접근한 연구이다. 적합성에 관한 기존 연구들은 적합성 판단에 영향을 주는 다양한 기준들을 정의해 왔다. 본 연구는 적합성 유형별로 사용자가 적합성을 판단하는 기준과 적합성 유형 간의 관계를 정보 검색 과제별로 연구함으로써 사용자 중심 적합성 판단 모형을 알아보았다. 본 연구는 7개의 사용자 적합성 판단 기준-주제성, 신선성, 신뢰성, 이해가능성, 특수 성, 구체성, 흥미성-과 3가지의 사용자 적합성 유형-인지 적합성, 상황 적합성, 정서 적합성-을 고려하였다. 이를 대학생 사용자들을 대상으로 검색 과제 수행 후 설문에 답하는 반 제어(semi-controlled) 설문 방법을 이용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 주제성, 신뢰성은 모든 검색 과제에 중요한 적합성 판단 기준이었고, 과제 유형별로 볼 때 사실 검색 과제에서는 주제성, 신뢰성, 신선성, 구체성, 흥미성이, 문제 해결 검색 과제에서는 주제성, 신뢰성, 이해가능성, 특수성이, 의사 결정 검색 과제에서는 주제성, 신뢰성, 신선성, 이해가능성, 구체성, 특수성, 흥미성이 적합성을 판단하는 주요 기준들이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 적합성 유형들 간의 관계도 실증적으로 밝힐 수 있었다. 본 연구는 적합성 판단 기준과 적합성 유형 간의 관계를 정보 검색 과제별로 확인함으로써 보다 구체적인 사용자 중심의 적합성 판단 모형을 확립하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

  • 온라인에서 추천시스템은 사용자들의 구매 이력 또는 선호도를 바탕으로 적절한 콘텐츠 또는 서비스를 제공하는 IT기술이다. 추천시스템에 대한 사용자의 평가에는 추천 결과에 기반한 시스템 성과와 추천 방식에 의해 형성되는 사용자의 태도에 대한 두 측면 모두 고려되어야 한다. 그러나 시스템 성과와 사용자 태도에 대한 통합적 관점의 추천시스템 평가에 대한 연구는 많지 않았다. 본 연구의 목적은 추천시스템에 대한 사용자 평가의 통합적 관점을 제시하는 것에 있다. 그에 따라 사용자 태도 형성과 관련하여 자기 참조(Self-reference)와 사회적 실재감(Social Presence)의 정도를 구분하여 웹 기반 실험을 수행하였으며 추천시스템의 성과 측정을 위하여 추천 알고리즘 평가에 널리 활용되어 온 정확성(Accuracy)과 새로움(Novelty)을 활용하였다. 연구의 결과로 추천시스템의 사용자 만족에 미치는 변수로 정확성과 새로움이 시스템 특성 요소로 제시되었으며 사용자 태도 관점에서 사회적 실재감이 사용자의 만족에 영향을 주었다.
