DC Accelerated Aging Characteristics of Praseodymium-Based ZnO Varistors Doped with $Dy_2O_3$ ($Dy_2O_3$가 첨가된 프라세오디뮴계 ZnO 바리스터의 DC 가속열화특성)

  • DC accelerating aging characteristics of praseodymium-based ZnO varistors doped with $Dy_2O_3$ were investigated with sintering time. The varistor sintered for 1h exhibited the highest nonlinearity, with a nonlinear exponent of 66.61 and a leakage current of $1.16{\mu}A$, whereas they did not exhibit relatively high stability. The varistor sintered for 2h having nonlinear exponent of 54.81 and leakage current of $2.52{\mu}A$ showed very excellent stability, which the variation rates of varistor voltage, nonlinear exponent, and leakage current are -1.19%, -4.00%, and +75.79% for 2h, under DC accelerated aging stress, such as ($0.85\;V_{1mA}/115^{\circ}C$/24h)+($0.90\;V_{1mA}/120^{\circ}C$/24h)+($0.95\;V_{1mA}/125^{\circ}C$/24h)+($0.95\;V_{1mA}/150^{\circ}C$/24h).

  • The surge characteristics of $Pr_6O_{11}$-based ZnO varistors consisting of $ZnO-Pr_6O_{11}-CoO-Cr_2O_3-Er_2O_3$ ceramics were investigated with sintering temperature in the range of $1335{\sim}1345^{\circ}C$. As the sintering temperature is raised, the average grain size was marked1y increased in the range of $9.67{\sim}14.07\;{\mu}m$ and the ceramic density was increased in the range of $5.46{\sim}5.59\;g/cm^3$. While, the nonlinear exponent was decreased in the range of 64.9~44.1 and the clamping voltage ratio was improved in the range of 1.99~2.08. The best varistor properties was obtained from the varistors sintered at $1335^{\circ}C$, exhibiting a maximum (64.9) in the nonlinear exponent and a minimum (1.99) in the clamping voltage ratio.

  • DC accelerated aging characteristics of $Pr_{6}O_{11}$-based ZnO varistors, which are composed of $ZnO+Pr_{6}O_{11}+CoO+Cr_{2}O_{3}+Dy_{2}O_{3}$ ceramics were investigated with CoO content in the range of 0.5 - 5.0 mol%. The varistors doped with 1.0 mol% revealing maximum value(66.61) in the nonlinear exponent exhibited excellent stability, in which the variation rates of the varistor voltage, the nonlinear exponent and leakage current are -1.93%, -10.48%, and +288.79%, respectively, under DC accelerated aging stress, such as $(0.85V_{lmA}/115^{\circ}C/24h)+(0.90V_{lmA}120^{\circ}C/24h)+(0.95V_{lmA}/125^{\circ}C/24h)+(0.95V_{lmA}/150^{\circ}C/24h)$. Next the varistors doped with 2.0 mol% exhibiting the nonlinear exponent of 47.39 showed high stability.

  • The electrical properties of ZnO-$Pr_6O_{11}$-CoO-$Cr_2O_3-La_2O_3$ based varistors were investigated with sintering temperature in the range of $1240\sim1300^{\circ}C$. The varistors sintered at $1240\sim1260^{\circ}C$ exhibited high density, which was 5.50- $5.70g/cm^3$ corresponding to 95.2~98.6% of theoretical density. The varistor voltage was decreased in range of 718.47~108.00 V/mm with increasing sintering temperarture. The varistors sintered at $1240\sim1260^{\circ}C$ exhibited good electrical properties, in which the nonlinear exponent is in the range of 79.25~49.22 and leakage current is in the range of 0.26~$1.00 {\mu}A$ In particular, the varistor sintered at $1240^{\circ}C$ showed very excellent electrical properties, in which the nonlinear exponent is 79.25 and leakage current is $0.26{\mu}A$

  • The microstructure, V-Ι characteristics, and stability of ZnO-P $r_{6}$ $O_{11}$ CoO-C $r_2$ $O_3$- $Y_2$ $O_3$-based varistor ceramics were investigated with cooling rate in the range of 2~8$^{\circ}C$/min. The cooling rate relatively weakly affected the microstructure, the varistor voltage, and the leakage current in the V-Ι characteristics. But the nonlinear exponent relatively strongly affected by cooling rate. The cooling rate also greatly affected the stability of V-Ιand dielectric characteristics for DC accelerated aging stress. On the whole, the varistors cooled with 4$^{\circ}C$/fin exhibited the highest performance in the densification, nonlinearity, and stability. Especially, they exhibited a high stability, in which the variation rate of the varistor voltage( $V_{1㎃}$), the nonlinear exponent($\alpha$), and the dissipation factor(tan $\delta$) is -1.4%, -4.9%, and +60.0%, respectively, under DC accelerated aging stress such as 0.95 $V_{1㎃}$15$0^{\circ}C$/12 h)

  • The electrical characteristics of $Pre_{6}O_{11}$-based ZnO varistors doped with $Y_{2}O_3$ in the range 0.0-4.0 mol% sintered at 1350$^{\circ}C$ were investigated. The varistor without $Y_{2}O_3$ exhibited very low nonlinearity, which the nonlinear exponent is 4.54 and leakage current is 87.91${\mu}A$. However the varistors with $Y_{2}O_3$ exhibited in the range of 30.00-51.19 in the nonlinear exponent and 0.52-3.89${\mu}A$ in the leakage current. Especially, the varistor with $Y_{2}O_3$ of 0.5 mol% exhibited the nonlinear exponent of 51.19 and the leakage current of 1.32${\mu}A$.

  • The nonlinear properties and their stability of ZPCCD- based varistors, which are composed of ZnO P $r_{6}$ $O_{ll}$ - CoO-C $r_2$ $O_3$-D $y_2$ $O_3$-based ceramics, were investigated in the D $y_2$ $O_3$ content range of 0.0∼2.0 mol%. The incorporation of D $y_2$ $O_3$ greatly affected the nonlinear properties and the best nonlinearity was obtained from 0.5 mol% D $y_2$ $O_3$ with nonlinear exponent of 66.6 and leakage current of 1.2 $\mu$A. Further addition of D $y_2$ $O_3$ deteriorated the nonlinear properties. In stability against DC accelerated aging stress state: 0.95 $V_{1mA}$/15$0^{\circ}C$/24 h, the 0.5 mol% D $y_2$ $O_3$-doped varistor exhibited the highest stability, in which the variation rate of varistor voltage and nonlinear exponent are -1.9% and 10.5%, respectively. The remainder varistors resulted in thermal runaway due to low density of ceramics.s.s.

  • To quantify irregular body motions the time series analysis was applied to the gait study. The motions obtained from gait experiment are complex to exhibit nonlinear behaviors. The purpose of this study is to measure quantitatively the characteristics of the major six joints of the body during walking. The gait experiments were carried out for eighteen young males walking on a motor driven treadmill. Joint motions were captured using eight video cameras, and then three dimensional kinematics of the neck and the upper and lower extremities were computed by KWON 3D motion analysis software. The largest Lyapunov exponent was calculated from the time series to quantify stabilities of each joint. The results provides a data set of nonlinear dynamic characteristics for six joints engaged in normal walking.
