소비자 특성에 따른 소비자 비윤리 행동 (Consumers' Non-Ethics Behaviors Depending on their Demographic Characteristics)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the consumers' ethics depending on consumers' characteristics. From the exploratory factor analysis, consumers' ethics were composed of four sub-factors such as actively benefiting from non-ethic behavior, actively benefiting from illegal behavior, benefiting from passively illegal behavior, and benefiting from others' costs. As results of this study, followings were found: 1) non-city residents, females, and 20's aged group tended to be more non-ethical rather than city residents, males and other aged group, respectively. 2) Group of middle school education tended to behave actively illegal compared with that of the graduate school education. 3) Religious values influenced on consumers' ethics. 4) While the lower income group tended to be actively benefiting more from non-ethic behaviors, the upper income group from actively illegal ones.

  • Interferon has therapeutic potential for a wide range of infectious and proliferous disorders such as chronic hepatitis C. However, it has drawbacks such as relatively short serum half-life and rapid clearance like other therapeutic proteins. The attachment of a polyethylene glycol (PEG) moiety to interferon is considered as one of the most promising solutions for its ability to extend the plasma residence time.(omitted)

Combined Effects of Cell Cultured Acanthopanax Senticosus Supplementation and Exercise on Lipid Profiles, Carnitine and Leptin Levels in Mice

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the independent and the combined effects of cell cultured Acanthopanax senticosus extracts (ASE) supplementation and swimming exercise on body weight, lipid profile, carnitine and leptin levels in C57 BL/6J mice. Forty C57BL/6J mice were divided into four groups: non-supplement and non-exercise (NSNE); non-supplement and exercise (NSE); supplement and non-exercise (SNE); supplement and exercise (SE) mice. They were allowed free access to food and water. The exercised groups were forced to swim (1hr, 6 days a week) in a water bath for 12 weeks. The supplemented groups were fed Cell cultured ASE (0.5 g/kg body weight/day) for 12 weeks. In this study, we found that the combination of Cell cultured ASE supplementation and exercise significantly decreased liver triglyceride (TG) level and serum leptin level but significantly increased serum HDL-cholesterol level compare to control (NSNE) group. These improved lipid profiles and decreased serum leptin would have positive effects on obesity and cardiovascular disease.

RADIATION DOSE TO HUMAN AND NON-HUMAN BIOTA IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA RESULTING FROM THE FUKUSHIMA NUCLEAR ACCIDENT

  • This paper describes the radiation doses to human and non-human biota in the Republic of Korea, as a result of the Fukushima nuclear accident. By using the measured airborne activity and ground deposition, the effective and thyroid doses of five human age groups (infant, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years and adult) were estimated by the ECOSYS code, and the whole body absorbed dose rate of the eight Korean reference animals and plants (RAPs) was estimated by the K-BIOTA (the Korean computer code to assess the risk of radioactivity to wildlife). The first-year effective and thyroid human doses ranged from 5.7E-5 mSv in the infant group to 2.0E-4 mSv in the 5 years group, and from 5.0E-4 mSv in the infant group to 3.4E-3 mSv in the 5 years group, respectively. The life-time (70 years) effective and thyroid human doses ranged from 1.5E-4 mSv in the infant group to 3.0E-4 mSv in the 5 years group, and from 6.0E-4 mSv in the infant group to 3.5E-3 mSv in the 5 years group, respectively. The estimated maximum whole body absorbed dose rate to the Korean RAPs was 6.7E-7 mGy/d for a snake living in soil (terrestrial biota), and 2.0E-5 mGy/d for freshwater fish (aquatic biota), both of which were far less than the generic dose criteria to protect biota from ionizing radiation. Also, the screening level assessment for ERICA's (Environmental Risks from Ionizing Contaminants: Assessments and management) limiting organisms showed that the risk quotient (RQ) for the estimated maximum soil and water activity was significantly less than unity for both the terrestrial and freshwater organisms. Conclusively, the radiological risk of the radioactivity released into the environment by the Fukushima nuclear accident to the public and the non-human biota in the republic of Korea is considered negligible.

인간로봇 상호작용을 위한 언어적 인지시스템 기반의 비강체 인지 (The Cognition of Non-Ridged Objects Using Linguistic Cognitive System for Human-Robot Interaction)

  • For HRI (Human-Robot Interaction) in daily life, robots need to recognize non-rigid objects such as clothes and blankets. However, the recognition of non-rigid objects is challenging because of the variation of the shapes according to the places and laying manners. In this paper, the cognition of non-rigid object based on a cognitive system is presented. The characteristics of non-rigid objects are analysed in the view of HRI and referred to design a framework for the cognition of them. We adopt a linguistic cognitive system for describing all of the events happened to robots. When an event related to the non-rigid objects is occurred, the cognitive system describes the event into a sentential form and stores it at a sentential memory, and depicts the objects with a spatial model for being used as references. The cognitive system parses each sentence syntactically and semantically, in which the nouns meaning objects are connected to their models. For answering the questions of humans, sentences are retrieved by searching temporal information in the sentential memory and by spatial reasoning in a schematic imagery. Experiments show the feasibility of the cognitive system for cognizing non-rigid objects in HRI.

인간과 비인간 존재는 어떻게 만나는가? (How does Man and Non-human beings meet?)

  • 기술의 시대에 새롭게 등장한 비인간존재인 인공지능로봇(A.I)은 인간에게 위협적인 존재인가 아니면 인간과의 상호협력 또는 앙상블을 이루는 존재인가? 인간이 과학기술의 힘을 빌어 자연을 지배하고자 하는 욕망은 인간이 자신을 소멸시킬 수 있다는 두려움으로 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 물음과 두려움의 근저에 있는 데카르트적 인식론의 문제를 확인하고 시몽동과 라투르의 존재론 및 기술철학을 활용하여 메를로-퐁티의 몸살존재론을 토대로 이 물음들에 답하려는 시도이다. 데카르트 철학이 도출한 코기토는 인간-이성을 주체로 하여 '주관과 객관이라는 이분법적 인식론의 구조'의 토대가 되었다. 인간이 중심인 세계에서 인간 아닌 모든 존재들은 인간을 위한 도구이거나 통제의 대상이었다. 근대인의 문제는 인간을 비롯한 자연을 통제하는 방식에 자연과학적 방법에서 도움을 얻을 뿐 아니라, 과학적 방법만이 세계를 이해하는 유일한 방법이라고 생각한다는데 있다. 이를 비판하면서 메를로-퐁티는 몸이 인간과 비인간존재들을 매개한다는 것을 보여주며, 살존재론으로 그것이 가능한 존재론적 토대를 마련한다. 메를로-퐁티의 현상학적 방법론과 존재론은 기술철학자이자 현상학의 영향 아래에 있는 시몽동에 의해 새롭게 전개된다. 시몽동에 의해 인간과 비인간존재의 관계는 인간과 기술적 대상의 앙상블 또는 인간과 기술적 대상과의 상호협력적 공진화로 나타난다. 특히 라투르는 시몽동에서 한발 더 나아가 근대의 핵심 개념인 주체를 부정하고 세계에 거주하는 모든 몸들을 행위자네크워크이론으로 규정한다. 메를로-퐁티의 현상학적 관점은 기술시대의 철학적 논의에 새로운 가능적 근거가 될 수 있다. 우리는 근대적 두려움이 현상학적 태도로 전환함으로써 그 문제 자체가 해소될 수 있음을 확인할 것이다.

Comparative Study of Coupling Factors for Assessment of Low-Frequency Magnetic Field Exposure

  • In this paper, coupling factors are calculated based on numerical analysis in order to assess various non-uniform low-frequency magnetic field exposure situations. Two types of non-uniform magnetic field sources are considered; circular coil and parallel wires with balanced currents. For each magnetic field source, source current values are determined so that reference magnetic field magnitude can be measured at the specified point on the human model. Various exposure situations are investigated by changing parameters such as the distance between source and human model, radius of circular coil, and the gap between parallel wires. For equivalent human models, prolate spheroid model and simplified human model from IEC 62311 standard are used. The calculated coupling factor values are compared with those obtained by 2D uniform disk human model, and the dependence of coupling factor on the choice of equivalent human model is analyzed.

Circulating Cell-free miRNA Expression and its Association with Clinicopathologic Features in Inflammatory and Non-Inflammatory Breast Cancer

  • Recent discovery showing the presence of microRNAs (miRNAs) in the circulation sparked interest in their use as potential biomarkers. Our previous studies showed the diagnostic potential of miR-451 as a serological marker for inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), miR-337-5p and miR-30b for non-inflammatory breast cancer (non-IBC). The aim of this study is to investigate the prognostic values of circulating miRNAs by comparing the amounts of 12 circulating miRNAs in the serum of IBC and non-IBC from Tunisian breast cancer patients, and by determinating whether correlated pairs of miRNAs could provide useful information in the diagnosis of IBC and non-IBC patients. TaqMan qPCR was performed to detect circulating expression of miRNAs in serum of 20 IBC, 20 non-IBC and 20 healthy controls. Nonparametric rank Spearman rho correlation coefficient was used to examine the prognostic value of miRNAs and to assess the correlation profile between miRNAs expression. Further, a large number of miRNAs were highly correlated (rho>0.5) in both patients groups and controls. Also, the correlations profiles were different between IBC, non-IBC and healthy controls indicating important changes in molecular pathways in cancer cells. Our results showed that miR-335 was significantly overexpressed in premenopausal non-IBC patients; miR-24 was significantly overexpressed in non-IBC postmenopausal patients. Patients with previous parity had higher serum of miR-342-5p levels than those without. Furthermore, patients with HER2+ IBC present lower serum levels of miR-15a than patients with HER2-disease. Together, these results underline the potential of miRNAs to function as diagnostic and prognostic markers for IBC and non-IBC, with links to the menopausal state, Her2 status and parity.

항상소득과 비인적자산이 주택점유에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Permanent Income and Non-Human Capital Asset on the Housing Tenureship)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify which is the better indicator to forcast housing tenureship between permanent income and current income, and study the effects of non-human capital asset on housing tenureship. To forcast permanent income, a statistic regression equation is used with current income as the dependent variable. Multi-nomial logistic model is used to forcast the housing tenureship Using current income as the dependent variable delivered a more accurate result than using permanent income. Current income is used as a dependent variable and sex, age, education and occupation are used as independent variables to forcast permanent income. Non-human capital asset is also used as an independent variable. Also, excluding non-human capital asset variable when forcasting bothe permanent income and housing tenureship proved to be more accurate. Because permanent income, the sum of future income and current asset, is a good indicator of current consumption including housing, the result with permanent income should be more accurate than the forcast using current income. This implies an underdevelopment of a housing mortgage system that enables people to consume now on the basis of their future income. The Korea's unique Chonsei housing rental system has also made it difficult to forcast housing tenureship based on people's permanent income and asset. While, the Key-money of Chonsei housing and the housing asset of homeowners with debt are very similar in their amount, the result is completely different. One is a renter and the other is a homeowner.

  • 해부학적 구조의 변형이 존재하는 신체 부위를 정합하기 위하여 연구되는 non-rigid 정합 방법은 현재 의료 영상 분야에서 매우 중요한 주제이고 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Visible Human Color 단면 영상과 CT영상 사이에 존재하는 다리 모양의 변형을 정합 하기 위하여 계층적인 non-rigid 정합 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 계층적 정합 방법은 영역 경계를 이용한 global rigid 정합으로 초기 변형 벡터를 찾고. 정합 할 영역을 sampling하여 local non-rigid 정합을 수행 한 후 결과를 interpolation하여 전체 영역에 대한 최종 정합 벡터를 계산하였다. 결과적으로 더욱 효율적이고 강력한 non-rigid 정합 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
