This study attempted to examine the effects of a portable voice feedback device on the hyperfunctional voice behaviors of children with vocal nodules when they wore the device in their daily lives. The device could set fundamental frequency and intensity at optimal levels for the subjects, It produces an audible alarm for inappropriate hyperfunctional voices beyond the preset levels, In addition, the frequency of hyperfunctional voice behaviors was recorded by the device, therefore the users were able to chart their number of hyperfunctional voice behaviors per day, According to results acquired after having subjects wear the device for 12 weeks, the subjects' frequency of hyperfunctional voice behaviors decreased significantly (p < .01). Especially from the first to fourth week, the frequency of their hyperfunctional voice behaviors declined significantly.

A clinical study of 37 cases with thyroid nodules, which were treated by surgical excision and confirmed pathologically at the Department of Surgery, Chonnam National University Medical School, from Dec. 1988 to Feb. 1990, was conducted and following results were obtained in ultrasonographic evaluation of thyroid nodules. 1) The thyroid adenoma were showed well-defined margin, homogenous internal echo and surrounding Halo, but thyroid cancer were showed ill-defined margin, inhomogenous internal echo and no surrounding Halo. 2) The sensitivity of high resoution ultrasonography compared with pathologic diagnosis to thyroid cancer was 87.5%, specificity 94.1%, accuracy 88%, false positive 5.88%, and negative 12.5%.

A field experiment was conducted in Agronomy farm at an altitude of 1350 m. above sea level in a randomized complete block design with three replications and eight treatments on vegetable type soybean in 2005. The objective was to see the effect of vermicompost alone and in combination with Rhizobium inoculum and mineral fertilizers on the yield of vegetable soybean. The result showed higher number of nodules from the non inoculated plot, however, the nodules weight was highest from the inoculated plots. No significant difference was notice statistically on roots and shoots dry weight. Soybean grain was obtained highest (32.3%) over the non inoculated plot followed by vermicompost plus inoculated, however, there was non significant difference. There was a slight increment on grain and straw yield from the inoculated plots over the non inoculated.

Fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) holds a main role in assessing thyroid nodules. But nonnegligible rate of thyroid cytology is reported as uncertain, indeterminate or inadequate for diagnosis. Recently, the microhistologic evaluation by core needle biopsy(CNB) under ultrasound sonographical guidance has been reported to show high accuracy for the diagnose of thyroid nodules. Aim of this review was to furnish the state of the art of this topic by summarizing previous published data about indication, diagnostic performance, and complication of CNB in thyroid lesions compared with FNAC

The activity of symbiotic -fixation and environmental factors of Robinia pseudo-acacia L., bearing root nodules, were quantitatively analyzed during the growing period. Among changes of total nitrogen and phosphorus contents of each organ, leaves showed prominent decreases from the highest quantity of the early growing period to the lowest of the late period. The rhizosphere showed acidic pH and low level of nitrogen, phosphorus and organic matter contents during the growing period. -fixation activity of nodules initiated from April and showed the maximum value of 190 $\mu$/g DW/hr in late June and than decreased to 50$\mu$M/g DW/hr during the rainy and dry season. Another peak of the activity attained 246$\mu$M/g DW/hr in the late growing stage of September. The maximum value of nitrogen fixation activity was observed at the conditions of pH7, $25\{\circ}C$ of temperature and 20 Kpa of oxygen partial pressure.

Pulmonary cryptococcosis is rare in immunocompetent subjects. Here, we present the case of a 16-year-old boy who was referred to our pediatric department for the management of multiple consolidations detected on chest radiography, which was routinely performed when the patient was being evaluated for an ankle fracture. Fine needle aspiration biopsy was performed, and the definitive diagnosis was established as cryptococcal pneumonia. After 8 weeks of antifungal treatment, the pulmonary nodules on the chest radiographs disappeared.

Aspergillosis outbroken in I to 2-week-old chicks in a poultry-farm at Tae-gu district were observed in april, 1959. Clinical and pathological manifestations of the cases were as follows: 1. Clinically, inappetence, drowsiness, and increased thirst were observed in the early stage. In the later stage, extreme dyspnea, emaciation and retarded growth were main features. There was diarrhea in a few cases. 2. Macroscopically, tubercle-like nodules in the lung and cloudy swelling of the parenchymatous organs were present. Histologically, the lung was shown suppurative bronchitis and bronchopneumonia. Hyphae, myceilia, sterigmata and free spores of aspergillus were observed in the center of the nodules and the bronchial lumen.

Tracheopathia osteoplastica is a rare, benign pathologic condition chahacterized the occurrence of numerous cartilage and bony nodules within the tissue of mucosa. We report a case of tracheopathia osteoplastica that involved both larynx and trachea. The patient was 73 years old male and had hoarseness. The neck CT showed thickened and irregular wall of the trachea extending to the level of the carina with multiple calcified nodules and plaques of bony density projecting into the lumen.

The relationships between nodularity, tensile property and ultrasonic velocity were studied in ductile iron castings having similar matrix structure. Also, the effects of heat treatment and the number of graphite nodules on the ultrasonic velocity were investigated. The results were as follows 1. The ultrasonic velocity increased proportionally with increassing nodularity and tensile strength. 2. The ultrasonic velocity in annealed and normalized state decreased average 1.7% and 3.4% respectively than that in as cast state. 3. The ultrasonic velocity increased with increasing the number of graphite nodules. Therefore, ductile iron castings can be evaluated in the only case of castings having the same manufacturing history by ultrasonic velocity.

Myopericytoma is a benign tumor that occurs in soft tissues. Myopericytoma in the lungs is very rare. We report the case of a 63-year-old woman presenting with cavitary masses in the left lung and multiple tiny nodules in both lungs. She underwent surgery, and a histological examination revealed primary pulmonary myopericytoma.
