Authors describe here five new species and three new subspecies of Korean Iand snail fauna. They are collected from the southern part of Korea including Ullungdo and Chejudo. The generic names of these new species and subspecies were discribed in the [ Il-lustrated Encyclopedia of fauna & flora of Korea V ol.32 Mollusca(I)]. The newly recorded species and subspecies are as follows:Genus Diplommatina Benson, 1849 Subgenus Sinica Mollendorff, 1885 Diplommatina(Sinica) paxillus changensis n. subsp. The aim of this study was to discover and describe new genera and species of cyanobacteria in Korea. Aquatic and aerial algae were collected from various environments in the Han River and Nakdong River watersheds between August 2009 and October 2015. As a result, one genus and six species of cyanobacteria were newly recorded in Korea. The newly recorded genus for Korea was Capsosira; newly recorded species were Capsosira brebissonii, Rivularia minutula, Chamaesiphon amethystinus, Leptolyngbya margaretheana, Pseudanabaena arcuata, and Rhabdoderma lineare.

One species of the genus Camponotus Mayr was newly recorded in South Korea. It was collected from Suhari, Subi-myeon, Yeongyang-gun and Gyeongsangbuk-do. Its corresponding descriptions, measurements and photographs were supplemented for the Camponotus yessensis Yasumatsu & Brown 1951.

The samples were collected at lowland swamps, reservoirs, mountainous wetlands, and sphagnum bogs from 2012 to 2014. The followings were newly recorded in Korea: two species, three varieties, and one form, including six taxa of the genus Cosmarium. The newly recorded Korean species were Cosmarium bioculatum var. hians, C. bireme, C. pseudobiremum, C. nitidulum var. pseudorectangulare, C. trilobulatum f. retusum, and C. trilobulatum var. depressum. The flora of the genus Cosmarium contains 303 taxa in total in Korea. The specimens were cultured and deposited on the algal culture collection of Kyonggi University (ACKU) and National Institute of Botanical Resources (NIBR).

One of the largest genera of subfamily Ophioninae, Ophion, has been reported 144 species in the World. Nevertheless, recorded members of genus Ophion are 40 species in the Eastern Palaearctic region, 8 in South Korea (O. ainoicus, O. choaspese, O. flavopictus, O. fuscomaculatus, O. luteus luteus, O. obscuratus obscuratus, O. okunii, O. takaozanus). In this paper, a taxonomic list of genus Ophion from South Korea is provided for the first time. Two newly recorded species, Ophion hokkaidonis Uchida and Ophion nikkonis Uchida, are reported from South Korea. A key to these South Korean species, diagnoses of the two newly recorded species and digital images are provided.

Two newly recorded species of melitid amphipod, Abludomelita japonica (Nagata, 1965) and A. okhotensis Labay, 2016 belonging to the family Melitidae Bousfield, 1973 were collected from Korean waters. To date, only two genera, Dulichiella Stout, 1912 and Melita Leach, 1814, of the 28 genera of Melitidae have been recorded in Korea, so this is the first record of the genus Abludomelita from Korea. The genus Abludomelita Karaman, 1981 is morphologically similar to Melita Leach, 1814, however they are distinguished by having oblique row of setae on inner lobe of maxilla 2. Both newly recorded species are fully illustrated and compared with related species.

A rare genus Leptodromiella Tuomikoski, 1936, which belongs to the subfamily Ocydromiinae in the family Hybotidae contains only one recorded speices, L. crassiseta (Tuomikoski, 1932). Until now, there is still no known ecological information about this genus, and its distribution was restricted to only in central and northern Europe, such as Finland, Sweden and Russia. In Korea, only one species, Bicellaria koreana Barták, Plant & Kubík, 2013, was recorded in the family Hybotidae from Mt. Baekdusan so far. Herein, the second genus Leptodromiella is newly recorded along with the nominate species, L. crassiseta (Tuomikoski, 1932) in Korean fauna. Re-description and illustrations of external features and male genitalia of the newly recorded species are provided in this paper.

One of the small genera of the tribe Atrophini (subfamily Banchinae), the genus Amphirhachis, has been reported seven species in the world. Among them, four species (Amphirhachis fasciata, A. nigripalpis, A. rubriventris and A. tertia) from Oriental region, and four species(Amphirhachis fujiei, A. miyabi, A. nigra and A. tertia) from Eastern Palaearctic region. Unfortunately, there are no records in South Korea yet. This genus is easily distinguished from other genera of Atrophini following: clypeus strongly convex near side; posterior transverse carina of propodeum represented by a weak or faint vertical ridge at apex on each side; ovipositor sheath shorter than metasoma. In this study, the genus Amphirhachis is recorded for the first time with a newly recorded species (Amphirhachis tertia) from South Korea. New data on the taxonomy and distribution of Amphirhachis tertia are given. We also provide diagnosis and digital images of a newly recorded genus and species.

Three species of the genus Dohrniphora, viz., D. cornuta, D. malaysiae, and D. prescherweberae were newly recorded from Korea. These newly recorded species can be easily identified by the characteristic that inner face of male hind femur equipped with a group of peg-like stout setae on basal sensory area. Peg-like setae are arranged perpendicularly in D. cornuta whereas linear in D. malaysiae and somewhat arched in D. prescherweberae. Also, concave area near the peg-like setae is also well developed in male which is smooth in D. cornuta, on the other hand, there is well developed distal carina in D. malaysiae and with groups of microtrichia in D. prescherweberae. In this study, detailed descriptions with photographs of three newly recorded species and a key to males of all Korean Dohrniphora species are provided.

Two newly recorded carnivorous amphipod species, Anonyx gurjanovai Steele, 1986 and A. nugax (Phipps, 1774) belonging to the family Uristidae Hurley, 1963, were collected from the East Sea, Korea. Anonyx gurjanovai is included in the A. laticoxae group and is characterized by a concave palm of the propodus in gnathopod 1 and small posteroventral projection at epimeron 3. The other species, A. nugax, represents the A. nugax group and is distinguished from congeneric species based on the presence of a shorter and less acute projection on epimeron 3. There are 13 species of the A. nugax group recorded worldwide, but this is the first report on the presence of the A. nugax group in Korean waters. Previously, three species of the genus Anonyx had been reported in Korea, and through this study, we have added two newly recorded species. Both the newly recorded Anonyx species are illustrated and compared with the related species. A key to the Anonyx species in Korea is also provided.
