The bivalve molluscan fauna of Ulsan Bay, East Sea coast of Korea, is summarized, based on original and literature data. The fauna consists of 61 species belonging to 20 families. Seven species are identified only to genus level. Two species (Carditellopsis toneana (Yokoyama, 1922), Carditidae and Fulvia hungerfordi (G.B. Sowerby III, 1901), Cardiidae) are new records for the East Sea coast of Korea, and one species (Crenella decussata (Montagu, 1808), Mytilidae) is a new record for Korea. Biogeographically, Ulsan Bay's bivalve fauna is subtropical with a predominance of tropical-subtropical species, 21 species, or 39% of the total species number, subtropical, 14 species, or 26%, and subtropical-boreal (mostly subtropical-lowboreal), 11 species, 21%, totalling 86%. A remarkable feature of the Ulsan Bay fauna is the presence of tropical-subtropical species not found in Yeongil Bay but common in tidal flats and shallow waters of the Yellow Sea and the southern part of Korea. A cold water mass appearing off the southeast coast of Korea near Ulsan in summer seems responsible for the presence of boreal-arctic species in this area.

A new species of the genus Ebrechtella Dahl, Ebrechtella juwangensis n. sp. and the male of Ozyptila geumoensis Seo and Sohn, 1997 are reported new to science. Ozyptila utotchkini Marusik, 1990 is reported for the first time in Korea. Habitus photos and illustrations of these three species are provided.

A new sponge species of the genus Hymeniacidon (family Halichondriidae) from Munsum, Jeju Island, Korea is described. This species is similar to H. sinapium in spicule size, but the color, oscules, external surface and arrangement of the spicules are considerably different. This species is bright yellow in live, and retains multiple oscules and a plumose bundle of styles in the subectosomal region.

A new cyclopoid species belonging to the genus Acanthocyclops is described from several mountain springs in South Korea. This species is allied to A. kieferi species group in sharing 11-segmented antennules, but is, clearly distinguished from them by its single apical spine on the third endopodal segment of leg 4 and an extra spine on the distal segment of leg 5 in both sexes.

This study describes a new species of cytheroid ostracod, Paradoxostoma koreana sp. nov., collected in Korea. In addition, three other cytheroid ostracods, P. setoense Schornikov, 1975, Loxoconcha pulchra Ishizaki, 1968, and Ishizakiella miurensis (Hanai, 1957), are reported with brief descriptions and images. Paradoxostoma setoense and L. pulchra were previously only known from Japan, while I. miurensis was previously reported from Korea. Here, we describe variability in hemipenis morphology observed in the Korean population. The new species is closely related to several East Asian species, but its sister species is P. rhomboideum Okubo, 1977. The primary difference between the new species and P. rhomboideum is morphology of the distal projections of the hemipenis, but minor differences exist in the details of the cheatotaxy of other appendages. This report also provides a list of all East Asian Paradoxostomatidae.

In this paper, the author is going to describe a new species of Castianeira paikdoensis sp. novo from Paikdo, Korea. Up to the present, only one species, C shaxianensis G$_{ONG}$, 1983 of Genus Castianeira has been reported in Korea(P$_{AIK}$, 1991). The type of specimen is deposited in the Arachnological Institute of Korea

Korean species of Achyrolimonia, Dicranoptycha and Helius crane flies (Diptera: Limoniidae) are taxonomically revised. Identification keys, redescriptions and illustrations of all species and both sexes, if they were found in Korea, are presented. Genus Achyrolimonia is new record for the Korean peninsula, genera Dicranoptycha and Helius are new records for South Korea, species Helius (Helius) obliteratus (Alexander, 1920) is new record for the Korean peninsula and new record for the continent. Illustrations of females of D. diacantha Alexander, 1938 and H. gracillimus Alexander, 1938 are provided and female of D. prolongata Alexander, 1938 is described and illustrated for the first time.

Two new species of the family Spongiidae, Spongia (Heterofibria) cora/lina n. sp. and Spongia (Heterofibria) purpurea n. sp. are described. They were collected from Gageodo Island, Jeollanam-do, Korea. Spongia (H.) coral/ina n. sp. is closest to S. (H.) cristata Cook & Bergquist (2001) from New Zealand in skeletal features, but the new species differs from S. (H.) cristata by the arrangement of fibres and growth form. Spongia (H.) purpurea n. sp. closley resembles S. (H.) cristata, but the new species differs from New Zealand specimens by the arragement and thickness of pseudo-tertiary fibres.

The genus Epitetracnemus Girault, 1915 is reported for the first time from Korea. A new species, E. kosef Li et Byun sp. norm. is described. The species is internal parasitoid wasp on Pseudaulacaspis cockerelli(Cooley) which infests on Taxus cuspidata S. et Z.
