  • This study reports three species in the genus Tubastraea from Korea: Tubastraea coccinea Lesson, 1829; Tubastraea faulkneri Wells, 1982; and Tubastraea micranthus (Ehrenberg, 1834). Tubastraea faulkneri and T. micranthus are newly recorded in Korea. The specimens of three species were collected in the subtidal zones off Jeju-do between 1991 and 2010. The two newly recorded species were described in detail based upon the morphological characters of skeletal structures. The previous records of T. coccinea in Korea were supplemented with additional data in the remarks. These three species have a straight septal arrangement or irregular septal fusion in common as a main character for the genus Tubastraea, but they differ with respect to the growth form, intercorallite distance, exsertness from common coenosteum, and the detailed characters of septal arrangement. Tubastraea faulkneri is similar to T. coccinea in its plocoid growth form, well developed common coenosteum, and corallite size. However, unlike the latter species, the former species is characterized by rare or absent budding adjacent to the corallite edges, wider intercorallite distance, and irregularly developed septal fusion near the columella. In particular, T. micranthus is distinguished by an axial dendroid growth form, and the smallest corallites in this genus.

  • Two species new for Korea, Scolopocryptops nigrimaculatus Song, Song and Zhu, 2004 and Scolopocryptops mushashiensis Shinohara, 1984 are reported from South Korea. The Korean occurrance of S. nigrimaculatus is the first record of the species outside China, while S. mushashiensis has been known only form its type locality in Japan till now.

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the problems of the record appraisal system based on value of "Business Transaction (Danwi-gwaje)" and suggest a way to solve the problems in Korean government agencies. This study begins with analyzing the many negative cases of creating wrong "Business Transaction" profiles and making discordances between value of records and value of transaction, through data mainly from focused group interviews of six record professionals in central government agencies. It concludes with suggesting a new records appraisal model that assigns the retention periods to multiple entities to solve the problems of the current record appraisal system.

  • Moon Jae-in as the government was launching new records & Archives management innovation is promoted. It was necessary to overhaul the Presidential Records & Archives Act and resolve the issues so far. The key issues include the establishment of individual presidential archives and the guarantee of access to former presidents. The current administration of presidential records is being carried out in the position of a manager (agency). The system's biggest "customers" are discussing management difficulties, even though they are former presidents. Record management should be a customer-centered information service. The "core customer" of managing presidential records is the former president. Another important problem is to separate the Presidential Archives from the National Archives to strengthen its status.

  • Two species of the genus Parthenocodrus Pschorn-Walcher, 1958 (Hymenoptera: Proctotrupidae) are reported: P. elongatus from Japan and South Korea and P. puncticauda from South Korea. Parthenocodrus elongatus is easily distinguished by having posterior surface of propodeum without transverse carinae and ovipositor sheath with distinct longitudinal striations. Parthenocodrus puncticauda is easily distinguished by having posterior surface of propodeum with transverse carinae and ovipositor sheath without distinct longitudinal striations. This genus is also newly recorded in each country. Redescriptions and photographs of the diagnostic characters are provided. All specimens for this study are deposited in the Yeungnam University (YNU), Gyeongsan-si, South Korea.

  • Two species of Cryptophlebia: C. nota Kawabe and C. ombrodelta (Lower), are reported from Korea for the first time. This is in fact the first record of Cryptophlebia from Korea, as the previous Korean records of the genus were based on one species, Cryptophlebia hematoma Diakonoff, currently assigned to Thaumatotibia Zacher. Photos of the superficial and genital features are provided for the two Korean species of Cryptophlebia and their distribution and host plants are summarized. Cryptophlebia ombrodelta is recognized as an adventive species in Korea and a potential pest on leguminoseous crops.

  • This study aimed to analyze and collect research trends of archival management standards in Korea. For this purpose, keywords from the titles, author keywords, and abstracts of papers related to records management standards were statistically analyzed to investigate the major keywords with high-frequency. Network analysis with high frequency keywords was also conducted to identify the subject areas of research in archival management standards. The analysis period is from 2000 to the present, and a total of 212 papers were collected from domestic academic paper search sites such as RISS and ScienceON. As a result of the analysis, from 2000 to 2010, OAIS for archive design, digital record preservation with OAIS, and analysis on ISO standards were mainly conducted in research areas. From 2011 until now, records management certification and ISAD(G)'s conversion to RiC emerged as new research areas. This study will be expected to be basic data to understand research trends in records management standards in Korea and to be a reference for research on records management standards studies.
