This paper addresses a systematic way of understanding the transfer characteristics of whole-body vibration due to the external excitation. Amirouche's and Tamaoki's models are considered, whose analysis shows a new result that resonant frequencies related to the head vibration are well coincided with those of the body. This point reveals that the improvement of the ride quality of passenger cars can be achieved by isolating only external vibration components transfered to the body. Finally, this paper points out the limitation of previous whole-body vibration models, which gives the motivations of setting up more 'practical and generalized' whole-body vibration models of interests in this study.

Purpose: Obesity is already a major clinical problem in Korea, so obesity prevention and treatment practices are gradually interested in Korean Medicine doctors. Moreover subjective body shape image entered as a important medical topic recently. To make a graph system for clinical tool which based on the Korean national standard physical scale. Methods: Physical data of the girth of upper arm, abdomen, hip, buttock, flank, calf, and body weight were statistically analyzed, which collected through the fifth national standard physical scale research. And then reviewed those statistical validation. Results: Relationship of the each body scale data and those graphs were fit and right statistically. Conclusion: These new achieved graph system of Korean standard body scales could be adopt as a useful clinical tool for body image related patients such as obesity, PCOD and postpartum patient.

The value of Dongeuibogam has been officially acknowledged as a Memory of the World. However, we should not overlook the forward-looking value of Dongeuibogam in addition to its backward-looking value. For the past 200 years, Western medicine has attained great achievements in therapeutic medicine based on Descartes' mind-body dualism, which focuses on the body as a separate entity from the mind. Recently, Western medicine modified its previously one-sided track into a new orientation towards holistic mind-body medicine in recognition of the two as an organic whole. At this point in time, it is essential to draw attention to the forward-looking value of Dongeuibogam, which pioneered mind-body medicine based on the medicinal philosophy of Jing Qi Shen more than 400 years ago.

This study was intended to find the body pattern of the middle-aged women and to make new experimental basic pattern for upper-half of the body for them. To analyze the body pattern of middle-aged women, the methodologies of measurement of the individual part of the body, group aged-analysis, Rohrer Index, Vervaeck Index, factor analysis, discriminant analysis, cluster analysis and girth index were used. The comparison of the twentieth to the thirtieth, the fortieth and the fiftieth showed bigger change in the thirtieth and the biggest change in the fortieth in girth. The fiftieth showed thick body pattern by increasing the depth but decreasing the girth. Body types were divided into three groups, thin, standard and fatty troupes by Rohrer index. With Rohrer Index, there was no difference for back length in three groups, but girth showed shorter in thin and standard groups but longer in fatty group.

The Paper aims to survey and analyze the meaning 'Absence of body' from clothes as non-verbal communication medium. Two types of absence of body from clothes are clothes as object because of removing body, and flattened colthes to deny the body form. In results of analysis, 1)the confrontation of male/female was represented by positive/negative, active/passive, present/absent. 2) male/female means social/private, body/clothing, relevant/irrelevant, subjective/additive. 3) one/numbers, simple/various, limited/free present the various way of waering. 4) tradition/contemporary is expressed by materials 5) enlarged clothes expresses the cynical attitude about body 6) inside/outside , one dress/layered dress suggest new concept to wear against traditional way of wearing.

Linear stress analysis without body force can be easily solved by means of the boundary element method. Some cases of linear stress analysis with body force can also be solved without a domain integral. However, domain integrals are generally necessary to solve the linear stress problem with arbitrary body forces. This paper shows that the linear stress problem with arbitrary body forces can be solved approximately without a domain integral by the triple-reciprocity boundary element method. In this method, the distribution of arbitrary body forces can be interpolated by the integral equation. A new computer program is developed and applied to several problems.

본 논문은 가시화 기반 LBVH(Linear Bounding Volume Hierarchy))을 이용한 빠른 GPU기반 N-body 충돌 체크 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 알고리즘은 움직이는 n-body 개체에 대한 수정된 모튼코드(Morton code)를 이용하며, 이 모튼코드는, 일반적으로 사용되는 개체의 위치 정보뿐 아니라 이 개체가 스크린상에 차지하는 가시화 영역 정보를 이용하기 때문에, 카메라의 위치 및 방향에 따라 화면상에 차지하는 영역이 작은 개체에 대한 빠른 GPU기반 정렬(sorting)이 가능하게 된다. 실험을 통해, 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 기존 방법보다 15%이상 성능 향상이 있음을 알게 되었다

Water body extraction is significant for flood disaster monitoring using satellite imagery. Conventional methods have focused on finding an index, which highlights water body and suppresses non-water body such as vegetation or soil area. The Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) is typically used to extract water body from satellite images. The drawback of NDWI, however, is that some man-made objects in built-up areas have NDWI values similar to water body. The objective of this paper is to propose a new method that could extract correctly water body with built-up areas in before and after images of flood. We first create a two-element feature vector consisting of NDWI and a Near InfRared band (NIR) and then select a training site on water body area. After computing the mean vector and the covariance matrix of the training site, we classify each pixel into water body based on Mahalanobis distance. We also register before and after images of flood using outlier removal and triangulation-based local transformation. We finally create a change map by combining the before-flooding water body and after-flooding water body. The experimental results show that the overall accuracy and Kappa coefficient of the proposed method were 97.25% and 94.14%, respectively, while those of the NDWI method were 89.5% and 69.6%, respectively.

The recent craze for so-called skinny jeans is illustrative of the restraint of the body through dress. This phenomenon is noteworthy when considering the internalization of the corset in contemporary fashion. Grown out of the garments of soundly practical use, blue jeans have led the stream of fashion for about 150 years and now they serve as the new corset idealizing the female body in the form of skinny jeans. This study intends to examine the idealization of the body in contemporary fashion and focus on skinny jeans as an externalized corset. The struggle with corsets continues in that the real body is overwhelmed by fashion items. In the aspect of idealizing the body by constraining the body parts, skinny jeans externalize the control of the body as contemporary corsets. This study conducts literature research and content analysis as the method of investigation and focuses on women's fashion from the 20th century. Exerting a harmful influence on health (as corsets have done) the body in skinny jeans is regarded as a modifiable entity. The thinness of the body achieved by skinny jeans suggests the controlling power over the body. Moreover, this gives access to the power presented by the contemporary ideal of thinness. Skinny jeans are modern day glass slippers.
