Thallus crustose, placodioid, closely adnate, forming orbicular patches; upper surface grayish green, glossy; central lobes areolate, marginal parts plane, edges thin pruinose; lower surface ecorticate; apothecia sessile, lecanorine type, exciple dense and intact when young, and disc plane, but when mature, exciple laciniate, disc protrudent, yellowish brown to orange, $0.5{\sim}1.5$ mm in diameter; ascospores ellipsoid, simple, colorless, $12.5{\sim}15.0{\times}5.0{\sim}7.5\;{\mu}m$. Usnic acid and zeorin contained in thallus. This is the first record of this species in South Korea.

  • ICC(International Chamber of Commerce) developed new rule on the presentation of electronic record in L/C transactions. This rule named as the e-UCP. The gists of this article are on the application of e-UCP in practice and it's some problems. The e-UCP is the supplement of current exisiting UCP but is superior to UCP under some circumstances. The e-UCP is only apply to the presentation of electronic record regardless of type of L/C(for example, traditional paper L/C or electronic L/C). The presentation of electronic record has some problems which has not seen in the presentation of paper document. These peblems are Time, Place of presentation, and format of electronic record and so on. The e-UCP provided on the basis of these problems. However, the e-UCP has some obscure provisions on the examination of electronic record and the corruption of electronic record. Who is responsible for the corruption of electronic record by the virus on the system of bank ? The current e-UCP is not clear on this matter. We have to note followings in case of presenting the documents electronically and applying the e-UCP. First, Beneficiary has additional duty to notice of completion of presentation. Second, It will be increasing the clean NEGO through prompt feedback of the descrepancy at the presenting time. Third, It is no use of L/G(Letter of Guarantee).

  • A hippolytid shrimp, Lebbeus grandimana, is described from the southern part of the East Sea and this is the first record of the species in Korea. The genus Lebbeus of the family Hippolytidae currently comprises four species in Korea. A key to identify the four species of the genus Lebbeus from Korean waters is provided.

  • Oncaea prendeli Shmeleva, 1966 is redescribed here based on a specimen collected using a fine-mesh net in the epipelagic layer in the south sea of Jeju Island, Korea. The Korean specimen is generally similar to Mediterranean specimens in terms of morphological characteristics, but it shows a few minor differences in a slightly larger length-to-width ratio for the distal endopod segment of the antenna, a relatively shorter caudal seta IV, and additional ornamentation on the maxillule and maxilla. This species is distinguishable from the most similar congeneric species, O. tregoubovi Shmeleva, 1968, and three species of the genus Spinoncaea Böttger-Schnack, 2003 by the distal and lateral armature of the antenna, ornamentation on the female maxilliped, spine number on the endopod of leg 2, and proportional length of setae on the caudal ramus. Moreover, spine lengths on the exopods of legs 2-4 are proposed as new morphological characters for the identification of congeners. This is the first record of O. prendeli in Korean waters.

  • In this study, the appraisal in record continuum theory is analyzed in conjunction with the appraisal in life cycle model. In order to understand the more fundamental implications of appraisal in electronic record environment, it is essential to analyze the appraisal inherent in record continuum theory. Record continuum theory can provide a theoretical basis for appraisal in electronic record environment in that it is a theoretical system in opposition of the appraisal based on life cycle model and dualistic records management system resulting from it. In particular, considering that the appraisal is a purposive act of seeking the meaning of records, the reinterpretation of the concept and meaning of records intended in record continuum theory enables us to derive the different appraisal logics than before. Therefore In this study, based on comparison with the appraisal based on life cycle model and the new record concept presented in record continuum, the appraisal in record continuum theory is analyzed focusing on three aspects.

  • Background : Medical records thought to be reflecting the quality of medicine. By this ground, examination of medical records can be served to evaluate, and to improve the quality of medical care. To examine the medical records, we need some standards or checklists which can be used to sort out the problems. Methods: We developed checklists for medical records evaluation. We studied 1,677 medical records about its completeness using this checklists in one educational hospital. Survey was completed by 5 well trained staffs of medical record department. Results are analyzed. SPSS/PC+ program was used for statistics. Results : 13.8% of discharge summary was incomplete. Recording of the demographic information was also poor in incomplete medical records compared to complete ones. Progress note was recorded average 4.16 times during 11.9 hospital days. After 4th hospital day, recording rate of progress note dropped sharply. Rate of professor's signature on operation records was poor(27%). He or she who described the discharge summary well also wrote progress note well. Conclusions: Fill-up of demographic date should be stressed during medical record education program. Strategy to create the environment emphasizing the responsibility of professor on quality medical record should be made. We suggest new index (number of records/hospital stay) for the evaluation of completeness of progress note.
