  • Recently, mobile traffic has increased tremendously due to the deployment of smart devices such as smartphones and smart tablets. Android is the world's most powerful mobile platform in smartphone. The Android operating system provide seamless access to many applications and access to the Internet. It would involve network packet sharing communicated over the network. Network packet contains a lot of useful information about network activity that can be used as a description of the general network behaviours. To study what is the behaviours of the network packet, an effective tools such as network packet analyzers software used by network administrators to capture and analyze the network information. In this research, more understanding about network information in live network packet captured from Android smartphone is the target and identify the best network analyzer software.

  • Congestion occurring at wireless sensor networks(WSNs) causes packet delay and packet drop, which directly affects overall QoS(Quality of Service) parameters of network. Network congestion is critical when important data is to be transmitted through network. Thus, it is significantly important to effectively control the congestion. In this paper, new mechanism to guarantee reliable transmission for the important data is proposed by considering the importance of packet, configuring packet priority and utilizing the settings in routing process. Using this mechanism, network condition can be maintained without congestion in a way of making packet routed through various routes. Additionally, congestion control using packet service time, packet inter-arrival time and buffer utilization enables to reduce packet delay and prevent packet drop. Performance for the proposed mechanism was evaluated by simulation. The simulation results indicate that the proposed mechanism results to reduction of packet delay and produces positive influence in terms of packet loss rate and network lifetime. It implies that the proposed mechanism contributes to maintaining the network condition to be efficient.

  • Network coding (NC) is a promising technology that can improve available bandwidth and packet throughput in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Sliding window is an improved technology of NC, which is a supplement of TCP/IP technology and can improve data throughput and network lifetime on WSNs. This paper proposes a network coding-based maximum lifetime algorithm for sliding window in WSNs (NC-MLSW) which improves the throughput and network lifetime in WSN. The packets on the source node are sent on the WSNs. The intermediate node encodes the received original packet and forwards the newly encoded packet to the next node. Finally, the destination node decodes the received encoded data packet and recovers the original packet. The performance of the NC-MLSW algorithm is studied using NS2 simulation software and the network packet throughput, network lifetime and data packet loss rate were evaluated. The simulations experiment results show that the NC-MLSW algorithm can obviously improve the network packet throughput and network lifetime.

  • This Paper proposes the architecture of WDM(wavelength division multiplexed) based large scale photonic packet switch network, which is composed of the FC(frequency converter) and OM (output module). The features of the proposed WDM based photonic packet switch network are 2-stage switch network, and WDM based internal optical link that is connected between FC and OM. This paper evaluates the internal call blocking characteristics of the photonic packet switch network. In results, we confirmed that the proposed WDM based photonic packet switch network has the potentiality in the practical implementation.

  • This is the first part of the four-part paper describing the development of a packet-switched computer network named the KORNET In this paper, we present the overview of the KORNET, and discuss various aspects on the development of the netwo management center (NMC). The NMC acts as a nerve center of the network, performing such functions as network monitoring, subscriber and network management and routing manage-ment using operator dialogues. In the implementation of the NMC, we have developed various application softwares that include operator interface, primary/srcondary pan, session layer and packet level adaptor. As for packet, link and physical level protocols, we have modified the XODIAC X.25 originally developed by Data General, Inc. All the net-work protocols we have developed comply completely with the CCITT recommendations.

  • The study provides the identification of vulnerabilities in the security issues by Wireless Network. To achieve it the research focus on packet flow analysis, end to end data communication, and the security challenges (Cybercrime, insider threat, attackers, hactivist, malware and Ransomware). To solve this I have used the systematic literature review mechanisms and demonstrative tool namely Wireshark network analyzer. The practical demonstration identifies the packet flow, packet length time, data flow statistics, end- to- end packet flow, reached and lost packets in the network and input/output packet statics graphs. Then, I have developed the proposed model that used to secure the Wireless network solution and prevention vulnerabilities of the network security challenges. And applying the model that used to investigate the security challenges and vulnerabilities of cloud computing services is used to fulfill the network security goals in Wireless network. Finally the research provides the model that investigate the security challenges and vulnerabilities of cloud computing services in wireless networks

  • In this paper, performance of multicode DS/CDMA packet radio network with adaptive antenna array is analyzed and simulated in a multipath Rayleigh fading channel. The network performance is evaluated in terms of packet throughput. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the adaptive antenna array is very effective in improving the packet throughput performance of the multicode DS/CDMA packet radio network. The results of this paper can be applied to design of IMT-2000 or future-generation mobile communication systems.

  • Change of state of Channel between two wireless terminals which is caused by noise and multiple environmental conditions for happens frequently from the Wireles Network. So, When it is like that planning a wireless network protocol or performance analysis, it follows to change of state of time-varying channel and packet the analysis against a transmission efficiency is necessary. In this paper, analyzes transmission time of a packet and a packet in a time-varying and packet based Wireless Network. To reflecte the feature of the time-varying channel, we use a Signal Flow Graph model. From the model the mean of transmission time and the mean of queue length of the packet are analyzed in terms of the packet distribution function, the packet transmission service time, and the PER of the time-varying channel.

  • Discrete event modeling is finding ever more application to anlysis and design of complex manufacturing, communication, computer systems, etc. This paper shows how packet network systems may be advantageously represented as DEVS (Discrete Event System Specification) models by employing System Entity structure / Model base (SES/MB) framework developed by Zeigler. DEVS models and network structure representations support a strong basis for performance analysis of packet network systems. This approach is illustated in a typical packet network example with several routing strategies.
