  • In this paper, we investigate the outage performance of a cognitive relay network. We consider mutual interference in an independent, non-identically distributed Nakagmai-m fading environment. We first derive the close-form outage probability expression, which provides an efficient means to evaluate the effects of several parameters. This allows us to study the impact of several parameters on the network's performance. We then derive the asymptotic expression and reveal that the diversity order is strictly determined by the fading severity of the cognitive system. It is not affected by the primary network. Moreover, the primary network only affects the coding gain of the cognitive system. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations are provided, which corroborate the analytical results.

  • This paper examines user's loyalty to social network sites (SNS) from switching costs (SC) incurred by both technology and social factors. We propose a research model specifying that the perceived values of resources of the factors affect the SC and the SC determine user's loyalty. Empirical results show that technology variables of ease of use and privacy controllability, and social variables such as network size, usefulness of SNS activities, and awareness of network status have significant effect on SC. In particular, ease of use is negatively associated with SC. Since it is shown that in overall the impact of social factors is stronger than that of technology factors, we can interpret that technological superiority itself does not lead to the success of SNS. Contributions of this paper are: 1) application of SC in SNS research from the resource based perspective, which can be used for developing strategies of sustainable SNS, and 2) provision of different perspective toward the variable of ease of use, which has been considered an important factor of technology acceptance.

  • Internet portal sites have served customers for more than a decade in Korea. There have been several such sites have survived, succeeded and led the internet industry. What is the source of their competitiveness? We assumed that the network effect, which can vary dynamically, is an important factor; so we tried to build and analyze a system dynamics model on portal sites that represent their advertising business model. This model includes not only the network effect, but also customer's' expectations of the quality of portal sites, which also varies dynamically. As a result of our research, we can state that the network effect is important to stabilize and increase portal sites' quality, market share, income and cash flow. And we know that investment at a level above that which is merely required is necessary to preserve and stabilize their business.

  • It has been reported that neural network with cyclic connections generates limit cycles. The dynamics of discrete time network with cyclic connections has been analyzed. But the dynamics of cyclic network in continuous time has not been known well due to its huge calculation complexity. In this paper, we study the dynamics of the continuous time network with cyclic connections and the effect of chaotic signal in the network for transitions between limit cycles.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) technology of routing protocol. The MANET has a mobility formation of mobile nodes in the wireless networks. Wireless network have two types architecture: the Tree based multicast and shared tree based. The two kind's architecture of general wireless networks have difficult to solve the problems existing in the network, such as connectivity, safety, and reliability. For this purpose, as using that ADDMRP (Ad hoc network Doppler effect-based for Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol), this study gives the following suggestion for new topology through network durability and Omni-directional information. The proposed architectures have considered the mobility location, mobility time, density, velocity and simultaneous using node by Doppler effects and improved the performance.

  • As the increasing integrity of VLSI, the BIST(Built-In Self Test) is used as an effective method to test chips. Generally the pseudo-random test pattern generation is used for BIST. But it requires too many test patterns when there exist random This paper proposes and presents a new efficient network architecture for Reflective Memory System (RMS). A time to copy shared-data among nodes effects critically on the entire performance of the RMS. In this paper, the recent researches about the RMS are investigated and compared. The device named Topology Conversion Switch(TCS) is introduced to realize the proposed network architecture. One of the RMS based industrial control networks, Ethernet based Real-time Control Network (ERCnet), is adopted to evaluate the performance of the proposed network architecture for RMS.

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a model of knowledge transfer in IT outsourcing. In this study, structural holes were chosen as antecedent factors, and job performance as a consequence factor. We conducted a survey in which we collected data from 42 respondents working in one of the leading IT companies in Seoul, South Korea. The data were analyzed using UCINET 6 and SmartPLS 2.0. The antecedent factors (structural holes in closeness network and in professional network) turned out to be statistically significant. Knowledge transfer considerably influenced job performance. Lastly, implications and limitations of these findings were discussed, and directions for future research were suggested.

  • Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are becoming widely used in collecting and sensing information in different fields such as in the medical area, smart phone industry and military environment. The main concern here is reducing the power consumption because it effects in the lifetime of wireless sensor during commutation because it may be work in some environment like sensor in the battlefields where is not easy to change the battery for a node and that may decrease the efficiency of that node and that may affect the network traffic may be interrupted because one or more nodes stop working. In this paper we implement, simulate, and investigate S-MAC protocol with mobility support and show the sequence of events the sender and receiver go through. We tested some parameters and their impacts of on the performance including System throughput, number of packets successfully delivered per second, packet delay, average packet delay before successful transmission.

  • Femtocells are being incorporated into heterogeneous networks in order to increase the network capacity. However, intensive deployment of femtocells results in undesired interference, which lowers the system's performance. Controlling the femtocell transmission power is one of of the aspects that can be addressed in order to mitigate the negative effects of the interference. It may also be utilized to facilitate the auto-configuration of the network's conductance, if necessary. This paper proposes the use of an auto-configuration technique for transmission power. The suggested technique is based on the transmission power of macrocells and the coverage provided by femtocells. The simulation findings show that the network's capacity has increased, and the amount of interference has decreased.
