제 3세대 백금착체 항암제 신약개발 3. General pharmacology and pharmacokinetic study of SKI 2053R

  • The general pharmacological profiles of SKI 2053R were investigeted on the central nervous system, autonomic nervous system, respiratory-cardiovascular system, digestive system and other systems. SKI 2053R had no significant pharmacological effects. Pharmacokinetic studies on time-course of blood levels, tissue distribution and excretion of SKI 20S3R were performed in rats and beagle dogs after intravenous administration of $^{14}$ C-labeled SKI 2053R. The blood level of radioactivity decreased in bi-or tri-exponential manners: rapidly decreased at $\alpha$-phase but slowly decreased at $\beta$-or ${\gamma}$-phase. $^{14}$ C SKI 2053R was well distributed to all tissues except central nervous system. Tissue concentration profiles of radioactivity were almost consistent wi th those of blood, but higher than those of plasma from 1 to 168 hrs after administration. Also, these results were consistent wi th those of whole body ARG study. The urinary and fecal excretions of radioactivity within 168 hr after administration were 84-87 and 9-11 % of total radioactivity of $^{14}$ C-SKI 2053R administered. In lactating rats, the levels of radioactivity in the milk were significantly lower than that in the blood, but slightly higher than that in the plasma. The disapperance of the radioactivity from the milk was similar as that in the plasma.

  • In trauma patients, cognitive impairment may develop due to several causes: traumatic brain injury such as intracranial hemorrhage, diffuse axonal injury, hypoxic brain injury or reperfusion injury, the psychologic disorder, such as acute stress disorder, post-traumatic disorder or delirium. We describe a 62-year-old male with post-trauma cognitive impairment due to a primary central nervous system lymphoma.

  • Neuropathic orofacial pain (NOP) is initiated or caused by a priomary lesion or dysfunction in the peripheral nervous system or the central nervous system. NOP is divided into paroxysmal and continuous by duration of pain. NOP is important for dentists, because they can occur after dental procedures, such as extractions, endodontic treatment, and dental implant insertion. Dentists should have concern about NOP, because it is difficult to diagnose and treat.

  • Purpose: In order to characterise primary central nervous system Iymphomas (PCNSL) and to evaluate if 1H spectroscopy improves the preoperative differential diagnosis of other diseases.   • As a cause of spinal cord compression, intramedullary spinal tuberculoma with central nervous system (CNS) involvement is rare. Aurthors report a 66-year-old female presented with multiple CNS tuberculomas including spinal intramedullary tuberculoma manifesting paraparesis and urinary dysfunction. We review the clinical menifestation and experiences of previous reported literature.

  • 화침은 오행 침법 중의 하나로써 다양한 질환에서 매우 효과적으로 작용하며, 최근 한의학계에서 많은 주목을 받고 있기도 하다. 본 연구의 목적은 화침의 중추신경질환 유래의 보행 장애에 미치는 효과를 평가하기 위한 것으로, 몇가지 임상증례를 통하여 분석하였다. 환자를 맥의 형태에 따라 5가지 유형으로 나누어 치료하였고, 치료 후 대부분 증상이 빠른 속도로 회복되었으며 다른 사람의 도움이 필요 없이 자가 보행이 가능하게 되었다. 이러한 결과들은 화침이 중추신경계질환의 보행 장애 환자에게 좋은 효과와 아울러 보행 장애에 대한 화침의 잠재적 가능성을 보여준다.

  • Ganglioglioma is an infrequent tumor of the central nervous system (CNS); mostly supratentorial region. But, they can occur anywhere in the central nervous system such as brainstem, cerebellopontine angle (CPA), thalamus, optic nerve and spinal cord. Although it occurs rarely, ganglioglioma should be included in the differential diagnosis of a posterior fossa mass because early recognition is important for treatment and patient counseling.

  • The cutaneous network of unmyelinated nerve fibers is extremely dense, and closely interacts with the many cell types present in dermis and epidermis, including keratinocytes, fibroblasts, Langerhans cells, and melanocytes. Cell communication involves various neuroendocrine factors, with cell differentiating and proliferative activities, or inflammatory properties. Thus, nervous cells in the skin not only create a sensory system connected to the central nervous system, but also mediate many of the biological activities of the skin.(omitted)

  • Breathing is controlled by complex interactions between the central and peripheral nervous systems in conjunction with the respiratory system. Neurological diseases predispose patients to nocturnal desaturation and pneumonia due to respiratory dysfunction, which increases mortality, daytime sleepiness and fatigue, and reduces the quality of life. Respiratory function tests are required to identify respiratory function decline and to consider compensatory management. This review summarizes the characteristics of several respiratory function tests and their applications to neurological diseases.
