이웃 정보에 기초한 반모델을 이용한 발화 검증 (Utterance Verification Using Anti-models Based on Neighborhood Information)

  • In this paper, we investigate the relation between Bayes factor and likelihood ratio test (LRT) approaches and apply the neighborhood information of Bayes factor to building an alternate hypothesis model of the LRT system. To consider the neighborhood approaches, we contemplate a distance measure between models and algorithms to be applied. We also evaluate several methods to improve performance of utterance verification using neighborhood information. Among these methods, the system which adopts anti-models built by collecting mixtures of neighborhood models obtains maximum error rate reduction of 17% compared to the baseline, linear and weighted combination of neighborhood models.

  • 특징선택은 데이터 마이닝, 기계학습 분야에서 가장 중요한 이슈 중 하나로, 원본 데이터에서 가장 좋은 분류 성능을 보여줄 수 있는 특징들을 찾아내는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 정보 입자성을 기반으로 한 neighborhood 러프집합 모델을 이용한 특징선택 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법의 효과성은 5,252명의 유방 초음파 영상으로부터 추출된 298가지의 특징들 중에서 유방 종양의 진단과 관련된 유용한 특징들을 선택하는 문제에 적용되었다. 실험결과 19가지의 진단적 특징을 찾을 수 있었고, 이때에 평균 분류 정확성은 97.6%를 보였다.

  • 본 연구는 근린유흥시설의 분포를 나타내는 헤도닉 모델의 근린변수가 지리정보시스템의 공간분석기능을 충분히 이용하여 측정되었을 경우, 그렇지 않을 경우에 비해 해당변수를 포함하는 헤도닉 모델의 통계적 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 가를 평가하고 있다. 평가결과는 해당변수가 지리정보시스템의 공간분석기능을 충분히 이용하여 측정되었을 경우가 헤도닉 모델의 설명력측면에서 우월함을 보이고 있다. 본 연구결과는 지리정보시스템이 단순한 직선거리를 추정하는 것 이상으로 헤도닉 모델의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있다는 것을 보이고 있으며 주택시장의 행태를 설명하는 이론적으로 타당한 근린변수의 측정을 위해 보다 적극적으로 이용되어야 함을 실증적으로 보이고 있다.

A Novel Filter ed Bi-Histogram Equalization Method

  • Here, we present a new framework for histogram equalization in which both local and global contrasts are enhanced using neighborhood metrics. When checking neighborhood information, filters can simultaneously improve image quality. Filters are chosen depending on image properties, such as noise removal and smoothing. Our experimental results confirmed that this does not increase the computational cost because the filtering process is done by our proposed arrangement of making the histogram while checking neighborhood metrics simultaneously. If the two methods, i.e., histogram equalization and filtering, are performed sequentially, the first method uses the original image data and next method uses the data altered by the first. With combined histogram equalization and filtering, the original data can be used for both methods. The proposed method is fully automated and any spatial neighborhood filter type and size can be used. Our experiments confirmed that the proposed method is more effective than other similar techniques reported previously.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a basic information for the plan of neighborhood facilities as residential environment. For the purpose of this study, this paper is to investigate all criteria of neighborhood unit on the related laws and regulations, As a result, the legal criteria of neighborhood unit has come to no conclusion of terms(the neighborhood life facilities, the life benifit facilities, the neighborhood facilities, etc.) and ranges(the density of population, the number of floors, etc). Therefore a consistent neighborhood unit can be applied to the development plans of new cities as well as new residential areas for the future.

The Impact of Neighborhood Settings on Peer Risks among Delinquent Adolescents

  • The main purpose of this study was to identify the impact of neighborhood settings on peer risks experienced by delinquent adolescents. A convenience sample of 1,086 youth who came to the attention of four county juvenile courts was used for the present study. The peer risk levels were measured through use of version 1.0 of the Global Risk Assessment Device (GRAD); in addition, neighborhood information obtained from the National Census was utilized. The results of the HLM demonstrated that there were significant between-neighborhood variations in peer risks and the neighborhood economic disadvantage variable was associated with peer risks after controlling for the variables of individual characteristics. The findings of this study add to the literature on juvenile delinquency by providing empirical support for the proposed model that illustrates the significant relationship between a neighborhood setting indicator and peer risks experienced by delinquent adolescents when practicing treatment or intervention programs with delinquent adolescents.

A Fast CU Size Decision Optimal Algorithm Based on Neighborhood Prediction for HEVC

  • High efficiency video coding (HEVC) employs quadtree coding tree unit (CTU) structure to improve its coding efficiency, but at the same time, it also requires a very high computational complexity due to its exhaustive search processes for an optimal coding unit (CU) partition. With the aim of solving the problem, a fast CU size decision optimal algorithm based on neighborhood prediction is presented for HEVC in this paper. The contribution of this paper lies in the fact that we successfully use the partition information of neighborhood CUs in different depth to quickly determine the optimal partition mode for the current CU by neighborhood prediction technology, which can save much computational complexity for HEVC with negligible RD-rate (rate-distortion rate) performance loss. Specifically, in our scheme, we use the partition information of left, up, and left-up CUs to quickly predict the optimal partition mode for the current CU by neighborhood prediction technology, as a result, our proposed algorithm can effectively solve the problem above by reducing many unnecessary prediction and partition operations for HEVC. The simulation results show that our proposed fast CU size decision algorithm based on neighborhood prediction in this paper can reduce about 19.0% coding time, and only increase 0.102% BD-rate (Bjontegaard delta rate) compared with the standard reference software of HM16.1, thus improving the coding performance of HEVC.

  • 최근 공간통계를 이용한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있고 공간통계학을 접목한 소지역 추정(small area estimation) 방법이 좋은 결과를 주고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다 소지역 추정에 사용되는 격자자료(lattice data) 분석에서 이웃정보를 정의하는 것은 자료 분석의 성패를 결정짓는 매우 중요한 부분이다. 그러나 기존에 사용된 대부분의 이웃정보시스템은 경계선을 공유할 때 이웃으로 정하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 경계선 공유를 이용한 이웃정보시스템 뿐 아니라 다른 여러 이웃정보시스템을 구하는 방법을 설명하고 2001년 경제활동자료를 이용하여 이 시스템들을 비교하였다

이웃해 탐색 기법을 이용한 Maximal Covering 문제의 해결 (Neighborhood Search Algorithms for the Maximal Covering Problem)

  • 지금까지 maximal covering문제를 해결하기 위해 다양한 기법들이 적용되어 왔다. 타부 탐색 역시 그 중의 하나이다. 그러나 기존 연구에서는 타부 탐색을 비롯한 언덕오르기 탐색이나 시뮬레이티드 어닐링과 같은 이웃해 탐색 기법들에 대한 종합적인 분석과 성능 향상을 위한 노력이 부족하였다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 실험과 분석을 통해 이웃해 탐색 기법들의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 소개한다. 기본적으로 모든 이웃해 탐색 기법들은 k-exchange 이웃해 생성 방법을 사용하고 있으며 다양한 파라미터 설정에 따라 각 기법의 성능이 어떻게 달라지는가를 분석하였다. 실험 결과 단순 언덕오르기 탐색과 시뮬레이티드 어닐링이 다른 기법들에 비해 훨씬 우수한 탐색 성능을 보였으며, 일반적인 경우와는 달리 단순 언덕오르기 탐색이 시뮬레이티드 어닐링과 비슷한 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

서울지역 노인들의 근린시설 이용실태와 근접정도에 대한 분석 (The analysis of elderly using behavior and propinquity of neighborhood facilities)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine elderly using behavior and propinquity of neighborhood facilities and to analyze the relationship of propinquity and using behavior of each neighborhood facility. The results of the study indicated that the elderly are using more frequently and living more close to leisure facility such as sports/health facility, hobby/education facility, and entertainment facility. Age and health status of the elderly were the important factors on the use and propinquity of neighborhood facilities. On the other hand, the elderly having higher education and economic status were more likely to use and live close to leisure facilities. For the elderly, the need of physical propinquity to neighborhood facilities and providing information about the facility location were required. For the mid-aged people, the education about leisure culture of the later-hood years were suggested since the use of neighborhood facility is depending on one's habit.
