The reverse acknowledgment (RA) scheme supports a fast loss recovery for negative acknowledgment (NAK)-based selective repeat automatic repeat request (SR-ARQ) by detecting a retransmission failure quickly before a retransmission timer expires. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a NAK-based SR-ARQ protocol with the RA scheme and compare it with the conventional NAK-based SR-ARQ protocol. Particularly, we propose a simple analysis model for the transport delay of the NAK-based SR-ARQ protocol considering the traffic condition, the retransmission persistence, the timer-based retransmissions and the RA scheme's behavior. Both NAK-based SR-ARQ protocols with and without the RA scheme are implemented by using the OPNET simulator. We verified the analysis model's accuracy through the simulation results. Also, we evaluate the performance of the NAK-based SR-ARQ protocol with the RA scheme based on analysis and simulation results.

This paper reviews the analysis of the so-called Korean NPIs, amu-(N)-to and amu-(N)-rato, proposed by An (2007). An proposes that the two so-called polarity items are identical semantically, tantamount to English even, but they are in complementary distribution due to the opposite scope properties of the emphatic particles to and rato contained in the NPIs in question. Resorting to Karttunen and Peters' (1979) and Wilkinson's (1996) scope analysis of even, Lahiri's (1998) analysis of Hindi NPIs, and Guerzoni's (2002) analysis of the negative bias of yes/no-questions containing minimizers, An accounts for the distributional properties of the two Korean NPIs. Given this, however, it is observed that unlike amu-(N)-to, amu-(N)-rato could be licensed in much broader contexts. Based on this observation, this paper proposes that the two particles to and rato are two different particles with different meanings.

얼굴 영상에서 구성요소(눈썹, 눈, 코, 입 등)의 존재에 따라 보는 사람의 얼굴 인식 정확도는 큰 영향을 받는다. 이는 인간의 뇌에서 얼굴 정보를 처리하는 과정은 얼굴 전체 영역 뿐만 아니라, 부분적인 얼굴 구성요소의 특징들도 고려함을 말한다. 비음수 행렬 분해(NMF: Non-negative Matrix Factorization)는 이러한 얼굴 영역에서 부분적인 특징들을 잘 표현하는 기저영상들을 찾아내는데 효과적임을 보여주었으나, 각 기저영상들의 중요도는 알 수 없었다. 본 논문에서는 NMF로 찾아진 기저영상들에 대응되는 인코딩 정보를 SLR(Sparse Logistic Regression)을 이용하여 성별 인식에 중요한 부분 영역들을 찾고자 한다. 실험에서는 주성분분석(PCA)과 비교를 통해 NMF를 이용한 기저영상 및 특징 벡터 추출이 좋은 성능을 보여주고, 대표적 이진 분류 알고리즘인 SVM(Support Vector Machine)과 비교를 통해 SLR을 이용한 특징 벡터 선택이 나은 성능을 보여줌을 확인하였다. 또한 SLR로 확인된 각 기저영상에 대한 가중치를 통하여 인식 과정에서 중요한 얼굴 영역들을 확인할 수 있다.

SU-8 is a epoxy based photoresist designed for MEMS applications, where a thick, chemically and thermally stable image are desired. However SU-8 has proven to be very sensitive to variation in processing variables and hence difficult to use in the fabrication of useful structures. In this paper, negative SU-8 photoresist processed has been characterized in terms of delamination, based on a full factorial designed experiment. Employing the design of experiment (DOE), a process parameter is established, and analyzing of full factorial design is generated to investigate degree of delamination associated with three process parameters: post exposure bake (PEB) temperature, PEB time, and exposure energy. These results identify acceptable ranges of the three process variables to avoid delamination of SU-8 film, which in turn might lead to potential defects in MEMS device fabrication.

In this research, we performed to investigate the relationship between interpersonal relation, communication skills and work-related stress in physical therapists. The subjects of this study were consist of 388 physical therapists from general hospitals and medical rehabilitation centers in Gyeonggi region. Data were analyzed using the PASW 18.0. Work-related stress showed statistically significant differences according to the demographic characteristics of clinical experience. Interpersonal relation found significant negative correlation for work-related stress except job-demand stress. Also, this study found negative correlation between communication skills and work-related stress, and significantly correlated interpersonal relation with communication skill. The results of this study suggest that in developing programs to manage work-related stress for improving interpersonal relations and communication skills in physical therapists.

이메일의 사용증가로 수신 메일을 효율적이면서 정확하게 분류할 필요성이 점차 증가하고 있다. 현재의 이메일 분류는 베이지안, 규칙 기반 등을 이용하여 스팸 메일을 필터링하기 위한 이원 분류가 주를 이루고 있다. 클러스터링을 이용한 다원 분류 방법은 분류의 정확도가 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 비음수 행렬 분해(NMF, Non-negative Matrix Factrazation)를 기반으로 한 자동 분류 주제 생성 방법과 동적 분류 체계(DCH, Dynamic Category Hierachy) 방법을 결합한 새로운 이메일 분류 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 수신되는 이메일을 자동으로 분류하여 대량의 메일을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있으며, 분류 결과 사용자의 요구사항을 만족하지 못하면 메일을 동적으로 재분류 하여 분류 정확률을 높일 수 있다.

This paper examines various aspects of the electromagnetic responses of the ring resonator located in the transverse electromagnetic cell. In addition, an equivalent circuit for the ring resonator is proposed and analyzed based on the electromagnetic phenomenon of the resonator. The equivalent circuit was simply modeled based on the concept of magnetization. A method for achieving a wider operating bandwidth of the negative permeability is provided. The ring resonator with its resonant frequency of 13.56 MHz was designed and its characteristics were examined in terms of S-parameters, effective permeability, loss rate, bandwidth, etc. The circuit and electromagnetic simulation results show an excellent agreement as well as that of theory.

A 3V-50MHz analog CMOS continuous-time current-mode filter with a negative resistance load(NRL) is proposed. In order to design a current-mode current integrator, a modified basic current mirror with a NRL to increase the output resistance is employed. the inherent circuit structure of the designed NRL current integrator, which minimizes the internal circuit nodes and enhances the gain bandwidth product, is capable of making the filter operate at the high frequency. The third order Butterworth low pass filter utilizing the designed NRL current integrator is synthesized and simulated with a 1.5.mu.m CMOS n-well proess. Simulation result shows the cutoff frequency of 50MHz and power consumption of 2.4mW/pole with a 3V power supply.

The electrical conduction properties in oriented polypropylene(OPP) were studied over the electric field intensity between 10[MV/m] and 300[MV/m] at the range of temperature from $5[^{\circ}C]$ to $55[^{\circ}C]$ in this study. The range of electrical conduction properties observed at $15[^{\circ}C]$ were divided into five regions with increasing electric field intensity. Particularly, voltage-controlled negative resistance was shown in the region from 70[MV/m] to 82[MV/m].
