  • One of the historical origins of the modern science education was investigated in this paper. From the view point of the pansophistic educational philosophy which emphasized "man should teach completely all things to all mankind(Omnes, Omnia, omnino)", J.A.Comenius proposed in his book "Didactica magna"(1658) that 'physica' should be learned as one of the most important school subjects. He suggested the completion of human being as a wholeness of the universe could be achieved through the physics teaching. His ideas of science education was, however, directed not to the 'rational konwledge' about the natural world, but to the 'divine wisdom'. His main thoughts and influences on science education can be summarized as follows: 1) The human being as a God's image should know the divinely created nature, because the invisible God's existence can be sensorially recognized in the nature. 2) Physics or science should be regarded as more important objects than verbal learning in general school education. 3) The cognitive union between the words('representative' or 'das Dargestellte') and things('presentative' or 'das Dargebotene') can be achieved through the objects lesson ('Anschauungsunterricht') 4) The realistic and sensor-cognitive learning theory of the object lesson is yet very important especially in the science education of elementary school, even though the inquiry learning process has became more important in the last years. 5) The religious aspect of his idea could not satisfy the social needs of industrialization and the development of professonal technics in the 18 to 19th century.

  • We developed a Web courseware using multimedia based on STS(Science-Technology-Society) and constructivism on fossil of fourth grade natural science in Primary school, which is recognized to be hard to simulate and watch the phenomena in real life. At present, there are several researches manifesting the effectiveness of the theory with off-line instructional materials. However, there are few results which demonstrate its ability on the Web. The main objective of the paper is to apply the STS theory on a Web courseware and to observe its efficacy. The Web courseware based on the theory allows students to observe and experiment in the Web environment and to have diverse experiences and thoughts through communication via Web. The paper shows that Web courseware based on STS theory can improve its effectiveness in a collaborative learning environment by providing Web facilities such as E-mail, Web search, information sharing, chatting, and so on.

  • For three years, from 2014 to 2016, in dental history class, 263 3rd grade students, attending postgraduate dental school had reviewed current problems of the dentistry and dental care system by adopting historical thinking, in forms of essays, editorials, and papers, The purpose of this study is to know whether writing has educational benefits on students. Analysis of the writings and Student course evaluation showed that it is beneficial. All of the students agreed on submitting a qualitative study project instead of taking midterms on 2016. The approval ratio has increased over the years, on 2014 being 82%, on 2015 being 98%, on 2016 being 100%. For that reason, it is not an assertion to deduce that the students have experienced benefits while developing their genuine thoughts on the current status or problems, exploring what their role is, and what they will face. The chronological thinking had been used throughout the researches to identify what Dentistry and Dentist is. Dentistry have encompassed knowledges of natural sciences, humanities and other fields when needed to perfect itself. In doing so, Dentist achieved independence from doctor or other cooperatives. Research on Korean Dental care system has involved in historical thinking, including historical analysis, inquisition, and historical imagination, insight. etc. If the in-depth evaluation consisting of history and writing is sustained, it would be very effective teaching method.

  • A built space reflects its society's philosophy, culture and technology of its time period. The study explores interrelation between Toey-Gae's 'Kyung' (Piety) philosophy and architectural designs of the 'Do-San' Sau-Dang (School). Toey-Gae is a leading scholar during Chosun Dynasty who built the Do-San School to teach and showcase Sung Confucianism. He is known for his teachings and practice of 'Kyung' philosophy in all aspects of his life including his work and designs. It is also known that he personally picked and purchased the land best suited to display spirit of 'kyung' philosophy while directing the base design and construction of the building. His attentions to details are evident in his choice of city, building site, and way he arrange his designs within the natural environment. Thus, we can safely presuppose the design of Do-San Sau-Dang was created following Toey-Gae's ideology in its buildings and environment. By examining Toey-Gae's philosophy of 'Kyung' through his writings, physical location and actual designs of Do-San Sau-Dang, we can understand how this ancient philosophical ideology and thoughts were translated to a physical form and its space. The study will also explore the importance of such ideology in the society at the time and how it influenced physical and mental activities of its people.

  • Landscape Style would take various influences in general. In that of Korean Palaces religious thinking has been caused he most important factor. This conceptual attitude has been derived from Confucian philosophies and the doctrines of Taoism, the realm of ideas that had constituted the schema of culture through long times in the Orient. This paper has dealt with the influences of one's outlook on the universe, antropocentricism, and on the relationships of man and nature in those two major teachings upon the landscape style of palaces in Chosun Dynasty. The Confucian philosophies and the doctrines of Taoism in Taosim in palaces would be summarized as followings: 1. The composition of exterior spaces had been understood as a place for moral training and political morality in the world view of Confucious. 2. The view point on court circle with plants and trees had directed to the influences of beauty upon the human spirit, and it is clear in naming attitude. 3. The composition type of void and solid in palaces would focused on the completion of Confucian thoughts totally, and the method of a unit space is same. 4. The double symbolic ideas could be find out in the components of exterior space; one is Confucian in phenomena, the other is Taoism in meaning. • Sentiment refers to a person's thoughts, opinions, and feelings toward an object. Sentiment analysis is a process of collecting opinions on a specific target and classifying them according to their emotions, and applies to opinion mining that analyzes product reviews and reviews on the web. Companies and users can grasp the opinions of public opinion and come up with a way to do so. Recently, natural language processing models using the Transformer structure have appeared, and Google's BERT is a representative example. Afterwards, various models came out by remodeling the BERT. Among them, the Facebook AI team unveiled the XLM-R (XLM-RoBERTa), an upgraded XLM model. XLM-R solved the data limitation and the curse of multilinguality by training XLM with 2TB or more refined CC (CommonCrawl), not Wikipedia data. This model showed that the multilingual model has similar performance to the single language model when it is trained by adjusting the size of the model and the data required for training. Therefore, in this paper, we study the improvement of Korean sentiment analysis performed using a pre-trained XLM-R model that solved curse of multilinguality and improved performance.

  • This study focuses on the methodology of an ecological interpretation of Korean traditional landscapes through both life-oriented philosophy and traditional Korean philosophy which are similar to ecology. Also, useful tools for discovering an ecological technique of formation based on the ecological thoughts in ancestors' life are shown. Ecological key words as interpretative tools on the traditional landscape replaced ecological concepts in Korean culture and landscape. There are 'Bonsung(本性; the original nature)', 'Chungjeol(中絶; moderation)', 'Hyoyul(效率; efficiency)', 'Sangsaeng(相生; symbiosis)', 'Jasaeng(自生; self-generation)', 'Chunghwa(中和; neutralization)', 'Bangtong(旁通; communication)', and 'Byuntong(變通; variableness)'. For the case study, the concepts of 'spatial structure', 'constructive elements in the traditional gardens', and 'structural elements in the dwelling houses' were extracted from $\ulcorner$Imwonkyeongjeji$\lrcorner$ as an interpretative subject. As a result, Jeongon house, Jongtaek of Choi's family(the first incoming resident) showed us an ecological technique of formation by interpretation on the composing elements. Namely, they are natural dwelling houses in harmony with natural conditions and delicate relational styles. Five kinds of ecological characteristics were exposed. They are: 1. land use method following natural features('本性' '相生' '中和'), 2. physical and spatial elements in a body with nature('中絶' '相生' '中和'), 3. sustainable circulation system by recycling limited resources('效率' '自生' '旁通'), 4. use of natural materials based on the regional climate ('中絶' '效率' '自生') and 5. plane and structural decision by microclimate('效率' '自生' '變通'). Consequently, the dwelling houses and their traditional gardens aimed at the consuming space of the efficient resources by utilizing and circulating natural energy more than different types of the traditional spaces.

  • Like natural climate change on the planet earth, the climate in software development environments is also changing (fast). Like the natural weather, the software environment is also disruptive. As the climate experts alert and suggest taking necessary measures to overcome certain challenges to make this earth a safer and comfortable living place, likewise this article also alerts the relevant stakeholders of software craftsmanship about the dynamic challenges that traditional Software Engineering (SE) with purely "Engineering mind-set" is not capable to respond. Hence, some new thoughts to overcome such challenges are shared. Fundamentally, based on the historical evidences, this article presents the authors' observation about continuous shift from traditional "Engineering-based" software development approaches to disruptive approaches - "Vibrant Softology". The authors see the cause of this shift as disruptive transformational force, which is so powerful that it is uncontrollably diminishing the "Engineering-based" approach from software development environments. The authors align it with climate change analogy. Based on this analogy, the authors feel the need to theoretically re-coin the notion of SE to some new term; perhaps Vibrant/Dynamic Softology (VS or DS). Hence, the authors suggest "a new (disruptive and dynamic) way of thinking is required to develop software". It is worth mentioning that the purpose of article and this new theory is not to disparage the notion of software engineering altogether, rather the aim is to highlight the importance of transformation from SE to its next level (perhaps VS/DS) due to the emerging needs in the software craftsmanship environment.
