  • A beach nourishment method can be used as one of the beach erosion protection methods which may keep coastal environments whithout constructing coastal structures on the HAE UN DAE beach. The beach nourishmens is affected by a natural condition and artificial condition;a natural condition includes conditions of bottom slope, diameter of bottom materials and waves, and artificial conditions include deposit position, method, diameter and quantity of the nourishing sand. It has accomplished to obtain the deposit position and the best diameter of the nourishing sand from a two-dimensional hydraulic model test, which simulates the erosional HAE UN DAE beach. In this study, the protection of the beach erosion can be maximized when the nourishing sand of 3.3mm in diameter, which is about 5.5.times of the bottom materials in diameter, is deposited layerly in front of the breaker zone which has a water depth of 4.6m.

  • Natural dyeing is considered to be an alternative to chemical staining in terms of harmful VOC-free and environmentally-friendly ingredient. This study was concerned with an evaluation of color performance of naturally dyed- and painted veneer for cylindrical laminated veneer lumber etc. according to the used condition in terms of existence of light and heat in drying. From the results, the color changes by the color of dyed veneer and the type of paint are likely to be affected by fading condition of light or heat. In the future, long-term outdoor exposure test needs to be additionally followed in order to evaluate durable usability of colored veneers.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the actual condition and problems of current ready-made shrouds. Current shrouds were formed after the 20th century and therefore are quite apart from its traditional precedents of Chosun Dynasty. In this respect, several problems can be pointed out. 1. The use of natural colored hemp as a primary textile of current shrouds is far from our tradition. Silk, ramie, and cotton have to be used together with hemp. Also, more variety of colors can be used other than natural white. 2. The size of ready-made shrouds has to be categorized at least into three: large, medium and small 3. The pattern and sowing method of Dopo(도포) and Wonsam(원삼) should be corrected in line with those of the traditional Dopo(도포) and Wonsam(원삼). 4. The design and items of current ready-made shrouds have to break away from the standardized convention and should seek more of a variety that our rich tradition provide. 5. The rational index should be suggested so that consumers can compared the quality and price of ready-made shrouds available at their hands.

  • This paper presents the characteristics of surface roughness and cutting force in ultraprecision cutting of aluminium alloy using natural diamond tools whose edge radii are smaller than those of tools made of other materials. The feed rate and depth of engagement were set to be a micrometer order. After measuring the surface roughness of machined surface and cutting force for each cutting condition, the relations between the surface quality and its condition were investigated qualitatively. If the feed rate was under a certain limit, the machined surface quality was deteriorated unexpectedly. This is supposed to have happened due to vibration leading its condition to abnormal one. In a certain situation the machined surface roughness by a natural diamond tool was inferior to that made by a carbide tool whose cutting edge radius is larger. This is supposed to be caused by not normal machining but burnishing effect.

  • In this study, examined heavy-weight floor impact sound to structure that have slab thickness of 4 form at a standard laboratory through noise and vibration measured. The results show that the nature Natural frequency increased according to change of thickness of each slab by finite element analysis, and acceleration value decreased. Results of measurements of noise and vibration at a standard laboratory, the slab 210, 240mm structures was construed result such as finite element analysis but the slab 150, 180mm structures is construed that influence in vibration acceleration level because edge condition has condition that contact to ground. Therefore, in modelling process for analysis, is thought that need that condition analyzes examining element influencing about structure that contact to ground.

  • Atomic coherences induced by the interaction with light provide new physical properties and optical phenomena. Even though two-photon resonances play important roles in build-up of atomic coherences, only approximate formula for two-photon resonance condition has often been used. In this paper, we present the more accurate two-photon resonance condition and confirm it using numerical simulation. We also studied the effects of laser frequency detuning and intensity on the two-photon resonance .

  • Many measures to detect multicollinearity in linear regression have been proposed in statistics and numerical analysis literature. Among them, condition number and variance inflation factor(VIF) are most popular. In this study, we give new interpretations of condition number and VIF in linear regression, using geometry on the explanatory space. In the same line, we derive natural measures of condition number and VIF for logistic regression. These computer intensive measures can be easily extended to evaluate multicollinearity in generalized linear models.

  • (4,5-Dichloro-6-oxo-6H-pyridazin-1-yl)phosphoric acid diethyl ester (3a) are efficient and selective coupling agents for the amidation of carboxylic acids. Amidation of aliphatic and aromatic carboxylic acids with aliphatic and aromatic amines using 3a under mild condition gave chemoselectively the corresponding amides in good to excellent yield. Three protected-dipeptides were also synthesized from N-BOC-Phe and O-Me-amino acid hydrochlorides using 3a under mild condition.
