  • The statistical survey and analysis is much restricted to time, space and material. The statistical survey and analysis could hardly resume. The statistical survey and analysis is very important to create various and accurate information. The statistical survey and analysis which is not a expert knowledge have many problems in productivity of information, reliability and etc. In this paper, we study the design and Implementation of web-based statistical survey and analysis consulting system which a client meet easily a statistical expert on the web.

A Study on the Survey Modes Used in the 2020 Korean Crime Victim Survey

  • Surveys are an important data collection method for national statistics in Korea. As of July 22, 2024, based on data provided by the MDIS of Statistics Korea, approximately 92% of national statistics are compiled using the survey method, and about 85% of these rely primarily on face-to-face interviews for data collection. However, with the increase in single-person households, the nonresponse rate of surveys has been rising each year. This study examined the behaviors of respondents across different survey modes used in the 2020 Korean Crime Victim Survey, whose raw data about survey response modes is available for public use on the MDIS website in Statistics Korea. The results show that, overall, the younger the age group, the higher the proportion of self-administered responses, with this proportion being higher for female than male except over 60 years old. Notably, the 20s age group has a significantly higher percentage of self-administered (TAPI) responses for both male and female. Furthermore, the response using tablets generally has a higher proportion compared to the response using paper across all age groups except for females in their teens, regardless of whether the survey is interviewer-administered or self-administered.

  • Nutritional researchers world-wide are using large-scale sample survey methods to study nutritional health epidemiology and services utilization in general, non-clinical populations. This article provides a review of important statistical methods and software that apply to descriptive and multivariate analysis of data collected in sample surveys, such as national health and nutrition examination survey. A comparative data analysis of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) was used to illustrate analytical procedures and design effects for survey estimates of population statistics, model parameters, and test statistics. This article focused on the following points, method of approach to analyze of the sample survey data, right software tools available to perform these analyses, and correct survey analysis methods important to interpretation of survey data. It addresses the question of approaches to analysis of complex sample survey data. The latest developments in software tools for analysis of complex sample survey data are covered, and empirical examples are presented that illustrate the impact of survey sample design effects on the parameter estimates, test statistics, and significance probabilities (p values) for univariate and multivariate analyses.

의무기록부서의 외부기관 통계지원 업무에 관한 연구 (The health and medical statistics survey in Medical Records Offices required by the outside institutions)

  • 본 연구에서는 의무기록부서에서 외부기관에 제공하고 있는 보건의료통계 사업의 종류와 업무 소요시간 그리고 그에 따른 병원의 수익성 여부를 구체적으로 파악하고자 하였다. 의무기록부서는 13개 외부기관으로부터 24종류의 보건의료통계조사 사업과 관련한 통계생산 작성 제출 요청을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 조사비용 지불률은 16.7%로, 암등록사업, 환자조사, 결핵환자조사, 퇴원손상환자조사만이 의무기록부서(병원)에 보건의료통계 생산 작성 제출에 대한 비용 지불을 하고 있었다. 의무기록부서는 암등록사업, 의료기관인증제, 퇴원손상환자조사에 각각 200시간 이상의 업무처리 시간이 소요되고 있었으며 500병상 미만의 병원의 경우 1~3명의 정규직 의무기록사가 병원 의무기록실에 근무하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 외부기관으로부터 요구되는 보건의료통계 사업에 대한 전반적인 시스템 개선이 필요하며, 보다 정확한 보건의료통계 생산을 위해 의무기록사 인력확보가 필요하다 여겨진다.

  • Recently, the importance of livestock statistics is increasing because of the food consumption pattern in Korea is changing. We compare the old sample design based on the 1995 National Agriculture Census with the new sample design based on the 2000 National Agriculture Census. We present some considerations to improve the efficiency of the sample design in livestock sector survey.

국가통계조사에서의 IT조사방법 활용에 대한 연구 (Utilization of IT Survey Method in the National Statistics Survey)

  • 최근의 조사환경은 많이 악화되는 추세이다. 일인 가구와 맞벌이 가구가 증가하면서 조사원이 조사가구를 방문했을 때 응답자를 만나기는 쉽지 않다. 개인의 비밀보호에 대한 인식의 변화도 통계조사에 쉽게 응답하지 않는 원인이 되고 있다. 조사에 불응하거나 만나기 어려운 응답자들을 대상으로 조사를 실시하기 위하여 통계청에서는 기존의 면접조사 틀에서 벗어난 여러 조사방법을 모색하고 있다. 공식적으로 면접조사를 실시하고 있는 조사에서 일부는 전화조사를 허용하고 있으며, 인터넷조사로 전환하기 위한 연구도 많이 하고 있는 실정이다. IT기술을 접목한 조사방법에는 많은 장점이 있고 우리나라는 이미 세계적인 IT기술 강국이다. 이러한 우리나라의 IT환경을 조사방법에 잘 적용할 수 있다면 조사품질의 향상에 많은 기여를 할 것으로 보인다. 본 연구에서는 IT기술을 이용한 조사방법을 중심으로 조사환경의 변화에 부응하는 적절한 국가통계 조사방법을 제시하고자 한다.

인구동태조사 개선을 위한 방법론적 고찰 (A Study on Vital Statistics Survey : its Type, Source of Errors and Improvement Scheme)

  • It is well known that vital statistics is of great importance as basic data for establishing various range of national policies. Especially, vital statistics is important among demographic information for monitoring and evaluating the population policy, for constructing life table, for making population projection, and for studying various aspects of the society. In principle, the production of vital statistics is based on the registration system. It is, however, still observed that there are some limitations in utilizing fully the registration system due to the inherent problems such as problems in its coverage, accuracies and timeliness. Thus, as an alternative, many countries conduct survey on vital statistics in order to supplement the registration system and obtain in-depth data. Korea is no exception in this aspect. The National Bureau of Statistics carries out the so-called Continuous Demographic Survey. This is a kind of multi-round retrospective survey, covering 32, 000 households and having reference period of one month. The survey has also characteristics of multi-subject sample. Thus, surveys on economic activity status of population, house-hold income & expenditure, and social indicators are together conducted with the same sample. It is, however, found that the survey itself tends to have some quality problems. Especially, the quality problems connected with field data collection are summarized as coverage error, non-response error and response error. Although it is inevitable not to be free from these errors, we should make all our efforts to reduce the errors. The probable schemes pointed out in this paper are as follows : 1) the strengthening formal quality control activities, 2) the review of the survey method, i. e., the combining interview method with mail-sending and mail-back method or pick-up method, 3) well documentation for various cases found in every stage of data collection, and 4) the strengthening the analytical activities. It is, also, emphasized that sincerity of planners and interviewers is the most important factor among other things.

Determination of Sampling Unit Size for Cultivation Area Survey using Remote Sensing Technology

  • The successful launch of Arirang satellites allow the acquisition of high resolution satellite imagery of Korean territory and enables the transition from the conventional cultivation area survey method to new image based methods adopted in advanced nations. In this study, we suggested reasonable sizes of the primary sampling unit and the secondary sampling unit for the satellite imagery based sampling design in 8 provinces preselected for this research. The PSU size was determined mainly in consideration of intracorrelation that shows the degree of homogeneity within each cluster and the efficiency of the image process. For the SSU size, we considered the relative standard error and the differences between the land cover maps produced by the Ministry of Environment and the satellite imagery processed by the National Statistical Office.

  • In this paper, we suggest and implement an on-line survey and analysis system based on the database structure. We can do trends analysis in this system and reduce the number of function because we can treat basic algorithms on the database.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to develop a questionnaire creation system by expert co-operation on the web. The most difficult problem in a survey is to make questionnaires. To solve this problem, we suggest the questionnaire creation system which is to create questionnaire for survey by expert collaboration. We can create the best questionnaire because it can gather and exchange to questionnaire information from experts.
