견실한 다변수 제어에 의한 모형 헬리콥터의 자세제어기 설계및 실현 (Attitude controller design and implementation for a helicopter propeller setup using a robust multivariable control)

  • This paper deals with the implementation of a robust multivariable controller using DSP board and the application to real systems. The LQG/LTR (Linear Quadratic Gaussian with Loop Transfer Recovery) controller proposed by Doyle et al.[1,2] is adopted to design the control system. A helicopter propeller setup is taken as the controlled system in the current paper, and the mathematical model is derived to design the multivariable controller. The performance of the controller is evaluated via simulations, and implementation and application to the MIMO system shows that the control performances are satisfactory and superior to those of the PID controller.

  • This paper is presents multivariable control scheme for industrial robot manipulators. The control scheme consists of two loops. The modeling error between linearized robot model and actual robot model is compensated in error compensation loop. The PID control loop is designed for pole assignment to stability of robot system and utilized for trajectory tracking. Alternatively computer simulation results are given for illustration purpose of suggested controller.

  • The computer algorithm and program are developed to obtain the Luenberger Canonical form and the transform matrices for linear time invariant multivariable control systems. The model controller of an eigth order system, which assigns the modes of the multivariable control systems and closed-loop matrices are computed numerically by the developed programs. It is shown that the computed results coincide with the Luenberger's and Kalman's method. The gain of the model controller has varied from 10$^{-3}$ to 10$^{5}$ by the modes assignment of the open-loop system.

  • This paper presents a new analytical approach for designing multiloop PI controllers for disturbance rejection in multivariable processes with time delay. The proposed method is based on IMC-PID design approach. To overcome a sluggish load response by dominant pole in the process, the IMC filter is modified to compensate the dominant pole effect. Based on the modified IMC filter, an analytical tuning rule for multiloop PI controller is driven by extending the generalized IMC-PID method for single input/single output (SISO) systems [1] to multi input/multi output (MIMO) systems. Simulation results show that the proposed method gives a satisfactory load performance as well as servo performance in the multiloop system.

  • The Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller is the most popular industrial controller and more than 90% process industries use this controller. During the past 50 years, numerous good tuning methods have been proposed for Single Input Single Output Systems. However, design of PI/PID controllers for multivariable processes is a challenge for the researchers. A comparative study of three PID controllers design methods has been carried-out. These methods include the DS (Direct Synthesis) method, IMC (Internal model Control) method and ETF (Effective Transfer Function) method. MIMO PID controllers are designed for a number of 2×2, 3×3 and 4×4 process models with multiple delays. The performance of the three methods has been evaluated through simulation studies in Matlab/Simulink environment. After extensive simulation studies, it is found that the Effective Transfer Function (ETF) Method produces better output responses among two methods. In this work, only decentralized methods of PID controllers have been studied and investigated.

  • This paper deals with the attitude control problem of nonlinear MIMO propeller setup. Multivariable GPC[Generalized Predictive Control] is adopted as the main controller, and it is implemented by TMS320C31 in the current paper. The main object of control is to move the propellers to wanted positions. System identification is performed to configure the system. Performance of the multivariable predictive controller implemented is shown via some experiments, which shows the controller meets the adequate control purpose.

  • In this paper, Neuro-Fuzzy Controller(NFC), a fuzzy system realized using a neural network, is to adopt for the multivariable system. In the multivariable system, the interactive effects between the variables should be taken into account. A simple compensator, using the steady-state information can be obtained for open-loop stable systems, is presented to cope with this problem. However, it should be supposed that the plant is unknown to the control system designer, but an estimate of the DC gain has been obtained by carrying out experiments on the plant. Also, if the variables are not combinated completely, it is difficult to design the controller. Therefore, we design a neuro-fuzzy controller which controls a multivariable system with only input output informations, and compare its performance with that of a PI controller. In the proposed controller, the construction of the membership functions and rule base, which is highly heuristic, can be achieved using a training process. This allows the combination of knowledge of human experts and evidence from input-output data.

  • This paper deals with the robust two-degree-of-freedom multivariable control system using $H_{2}/H{\infty}$optimization method which can achieve the robust stability and the robust performance, simultaneously. The feedback controller can obtain the robust stability property. The feedforward controller can obtain the robust performance property under modelling error. The robust two-degree-of-freedom multivariable control system is applied to the nonlinear multivariable boiler-turbine system. The validity of the proposed method is verified though being compared with LQG/LTR design method.
