가능성 이론을 이용한 전력계통 고장진단 (Power System Fault Diagnosis using Possibility Theory)

  • This paper introduces a fuzzy expert systems for fault diagnosis, where the causal relationships between faults and protective devices are defined as fuzzy relations. The uncertainties existing in the fault diagnosis are figured out using the possibility theory and the possibility measure is associated with the fuzzy relation to evaluate the possibilities of faults. Besides, the knowledge base in the expert system is described and explained. In this way, multiple-fault can be handled easily and simultaneously together with single faults.

  • 지능형 차량의 안전 주행을 위해서 주변 차량의 상태를 파악하고, 충돌 위험도를 판단하는 일은 매우 중요하다. 특히 중앙선을 침범하여 주행하는 차량과의 충돌은 치명적일 수 있다. 맞은편에서 다가오는 차량의 중앙선 침범을 지능형 차량의 주요 센서 가운데 하나인 레이더 센서만을 이용하여 예측하면 센서의 특성상 발생하는 노이즈로 인해 오인식의 가능성이 높다. 오인식은 중앙선 침범보다 더 위험한 결과를 초래하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 레이더 신호에 IMM을 사용한 추적 알고리즘과 퍼지 논리를 적용하여 중앙선 침범 예측의 정확도를 높이고 오인식을 감소시킬 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 퍼지 로직은 레이더 신호와 IMM알고리즘의 결합을 적절히 조절하는 기능을 한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통해 오인식의 감소가 효과적으로 이루어짐이 검증되었다.

  • As the complexity of power systems increases, especially in the case of multiple faults or incorrect operation of protective devices, fault diagnosis requires new and systematic methods to the reasoning process, which improves both its accuracy and its efficiency. Therefore this paper proposes a method of the modeling of protection systems and fault diagnosis in power systems using Fuzzy Petri Nets (FPN). The proposed method can reduce processing time and increase accuracy when compared with the traditional methods. And also this method can cover online processing of real-time data from SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition).

  • This paper presents the scheme for load model based dispersed generation system (DGs) installation and operation in unbalanced distribution systems. Groups of each individual load model consist of residential, industrial, commercial, official and agricultural load. The main idea of solving fuzzy nonlinear goal programming is to transform the original objective function and constraints into the equivalent multiple objective functions with fuzzy sets to evaluate their imprecise nature for the criterion of power loss minimization, the number or total capacity of DGs and the bus voltage deviation, and then solve the problem using genetic algorithms. The method proposed was applied to IEEE 13 bus test systems to demonstrate its effectiveness.

언어 값을 다루기 위한 알고리즘적인 접근법 (Algorithmic approach for handling linguistic values)

  • 같은 언어 변수에서 정의된 인접 언어 값을 다루기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 사용해서 인접 언어 값에 대한 개인의 주관성의 차이를 명확히 발견할 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 같은 언어 변수에서 정의된 인접 언어 값들 사이의 숨겨진 관계를 발견하기 위한 유용한 도구로 이용될 수 있다. 결과적으로 제안된 방법은 퍼지 전문가시스템, 퍼지 의사결정 트리, 퍼지 인지 지도등과 같은 퍼지 시스템 개발 분야에서 지식 획득의 정확성을 개선하기 위한 기초를 제공해 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방법을 다수의 전문가들 사이의 집단 언어 평가에 적용하였다.

  • In this study, we introduce the optimization method of fuzzy inference systems that is based on Hierarchical Fair Competition-based Parallel Genetic Algorithms (HFCGA) and information data granulation, The granulation is realized with the aid of the Hard C-means clustering and HFCGA is a kind of multi-populations of Parallel Genetic Algorithms (PGA), and it is used for structure optimization and parameter identification of fuzzy model. It concerns the fuzzy model-related parameters such as the number of input variables to be used, a collection of specific subset of input variables, the number of membership functions, the order of polynomial, and the apexes of the membership function. In the optimization process, two general optimization mechanisms are explored. The structural optimization is realized via HFCGA and HCM method whereas in case of the parametric optimization we proceed with a standard least square method as well as HFCGA method as well. A comparative analysis demonstrates that the proposed algorithm is superior to the conventional methods. Particularly, in parameter identification, we use the UNDX operator which uses multiple parents and generate offsprings around the geographic center off mass of these parents.

  • Lookup-Table (LUT) based fuzzy controller for obstacle avoidance enhances operations faster in multiple obstacles environment. An LUT based fuzzy controller with Positive/Negative (P/N) fuzzy rule base consisting of 18 rules was introduced in our paper$^1$ and this paper shows a 50-rule P/N fuzzy controller for enhancing performance in obstacle avoidance. As a rule, the more rules are necessary, the more buffers are required. This paper suggests LUT sharing method in order to reduce LUT buffer size without significant degradation of performance. The LUT sharing method makes buffer size independent of the whole fuzzy system's complexity. Simulation using MSRDS(MicroSoft Robotics Developer Studio) evaluates the proposed method, and in order to investigate its performance, experiments are carried out to Pioneer P3-DX in the LabVIEW environment. The simulation and experiments show little difference between the fully valued LUT-based method and the LUT sharing method in operation times. On the other hand, LUT sharing method reduced its buffer size by about 95% of full valued LUT-based design.

  • In this paper, a predictive fuzzy control algorithm to supervise the elevator system with plural elevator cars is proposed and its performance is evaluated. Elevator group controller must decide the service elevator for a registered hall call to satisfy the multiple control objects. The proposed group control algorithm ensures the efficient operations of the group cars and provides the improved level of service, coping with multiple control objects and uncertainty of system state. The feasibility of the proposed control algorithm is evaluated by simulation on computer.

  • An elevator group supervisory control logic is investigated to supervise multiple elevators, ensuring their efficient operations. In this paper, a predictive fuzzy control logic of group elevator system is developed for coping with multiple control objects and uncertainty of system state. Simulation of this control logic shows considerable improvements of system performance by the reduction of average waiting time and long wait rate.

  • Due to the influence of nonlinearity and time-variation, it is difficult to establish an accurate model of concrete frame structures that adopt active controllers. Fuzzy theory is a relatively appropriate method but susceptible to human subjective experience to decrease the performance. To guarantee the stability of multi-time delays complex system with multi-interconnections, a delay-dependent criterion of evolved design is proposed in this paper. Based on this criterion, the sector nonlinearity which converts the nonlinear model to multiple rule base of the linear model and a new sufficient condition to guarantee the asymptotic stability via Lyapunov function is implemented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). A numerical simulation for a three-layer reinforced concrete frame structure subjected to earthquakes is demonstrated that the proposed criterion is feasible for practical applications.
