  • The multiple entity data model which contains metadata that associate two or more entities is applied recordkeeping metadata standard in recent years. This paper described and analyzed the recordkeeping metadata standard applying multiple entities such as ISO 23081, Australia recordkeeping metadata Standard, New Zealand recordkeeping metadata Standard, New South Wales recordkeeping metadata Standard, Queensland recordkeeping metadata Standard recordkeeping metadata Standard, South Australia recordkeeping metadata Standard, focusing on scope, the number of entities, category in entity, metadata elements. And shows some examples of relationship entity which is the key of multiple entity. As a result of the analysis, this paper suggests some consideration when recordkeeping metadata standard applying multiple entities is revised.

  • This study aims to develop a metadata schema for sports moving records based on a multiple entity model as an attempt to suggest an effective way to manage, retrieve, and utilize sports moving records. The multiple entity model consists of four entities - sports match, match contributors, moving records, and record management business - and metadata elements were developed for each entity. In addition, authority records for sports team and persons were created to ensure the consistency of terminology and provide rich contextual information. The suggested multiple entity model, metadata elements, and authority records for sports teams and persons were verified, modified, and expanded by a group of experts including a sports marketing expert and professors in the sports department.

  • Entity Linking find the meaning of an entity mention, which indicate the entity using different expressions, in a user's query by linking the entity mention and the entity in the knowledge base. This task has four challenges, including the difficult knowledge base construction problem, multiple presentation of the entity mention, ambiguity of entity linking, and NIL entity recognition. In this paper, we first construct the entity name dictionary based on Wikipedia to build a knowledge base and solve the multiple presentation problem. We then propose various methods for NIL entity recognition and solve the ambiguity of entity linking by training the support vector machine based on several features, including the similarity of the context, semantic relevance, clue word score, named entity type similarity of the mansion, entity name matching score, and object popularity score. We sequentially use the proposed two methods based on the constructed knowledge base, to obtain the good performance in the entity linking. In the result of the experiment, our system achieved 83.66% and 90.81% F1 score, which is the performance of the NIL entity recognition to solve the ambiguity of the entity linking.

  • This paper describes a vertical search system based on multiple entity-centric unification, which enables to deal with the search queries including multiple domains. To implement the system, we introduced two search technologies; one is for merging service components dynamically according to the entities in the search keywords, and the other is for searching fields with appropriate entities. Our current system includes about 453,000 overseas journal papers for article information search and two entity types; research topic and researcher.

  • Continuous research efforts have been made on acquiring location data on construction sites. As a result, GPS and RFID are increasingly employed on the site to track the location of equipment and materials. However, these systems are based on radio frequency technologies which require attaching tags on every target entity. Implementing the systems incurs time and costs for attaching/detaching/managing the tags or sensors. For this reason, efforts are currently being made to track construction entities using only cameras. Vision-based 3D tracking has been presented in a previous research work in which the location of construction manpower, vehicle, and materials were successfully tracked. However, the proposed system is still in its infancy and yet to be implemented on practical applications for two reasons. First, it does not involve entity matching across two views, and thus cannot be used for tracking multiple entities, simultaneously. Second, the use of a checker board in the camera calibration process entails a focus-related problem when the baseline is long and the target entities are located far from the cameras. This paper proposes a vision-based method to track multiple workers simultaneously. An entity matching procedure is added to acquire the matching pairs of the same entities across two views which is necessary for tracking multiple entities. Also, the proposed method simplified the calibration process by avoiding the use of a checkerboard, making it more adequate to the realistic deployment on construction sites.

  • A named entity recognition method is used to improve the performance of information retrieval systems, question answering systems, machine translation systems and so on. The targets of the named entity recognition are usually PLOs (persons, locations and organizations). They are usually proper nouns or unregistered words, and traditional named entity recognizers use these characteristics to find out named entity candidates. The titles of books, movies and TV programs have different characteristics than PLO entities. They are sometimes multiple phrases, one sentence, or special characters. This makes it difficult to find the named entity candidates. In this paper we propose a method to quickly extract title named entities from news articles and automatically build a named entity dictionary for the titles. For the candidates identification, the word phrases enclosed with special symbols in a sentence are firstly extracted, and then verified by the SVM with using feature words and their distances. For the classification of the extracted title candidates, SVM is used with the mutual information of word contexts.

  • In mobile ad hoc networks, an application scenario requires mostly group mobility behavior in the mix of group moving nodes and individually moving nodes. The nodes of those applications tend to belong to the movement group with similar movement behavior. Group mobility is one of the good methods to improve scalability, and reduces the protocol overhead. In this paper, we propose the multicast architecture which regards nodes that have equal group mobility in the heterogeneous group mobility network as the single entity with the multiple interfaces and composes multicast tree, The logical cooperative entity-based multicast architecture accommodates the scalability, the multicast tree simplification, and the protocol overhead reduction which arc obtained from the hierarchical multicast architecture, while it maintains the nat multicast architecture for the data transmission. It also prevents the concentration of the energy consumption dispersing data forwarding load into the several ingress/egress nodes. Results obtained through simulations show that logical cooperative entity based multicast protocol with multiple interfaces offers the protocol scalability and the efficient data transmission.

  • Vision-based tracking has been proposed as a means to efficiently track a large number of construction resources operating in a congested site. In order to obtain 3D coordinates of an object, it is necessary to employ stereo-vision theories. Detecting and tracking of multiple objects require an entity matching process that finds corresponding pairs of detected entities across the two camera views. This paper proposes an efficient way of entity matching for tracking of construction workers. The proposed method basically uses epipolar geometry which represents the relationship between the two fixed cameras. Each pixel coordinate in a camera view is projected onto the other camera view as an epipolar line. The proposed method finds the matching pair of a worker entity by comparing the proximity of the all detected entities in the other view to the epipolar line. Experimental results demonstrate its suitability for automated entity matching for 3D vision-based tracking of construction workers.

  • This paper aims to give an explanation of the combination of certain nouns and the verb ha-'do'. Although the verb ha-'do'normally takes an event type argument, it takes some substantival nouns such as paiolin 'violin', umsikcem 'restaurant', and so on. A substantival noun undergoes type shifting, because the governing verb ha-'do'coerces an entity type noun to an event reading, taking missing information from the qualia of the entity type noun. In addition, some nouns like ppallay 'laundry'are dot objects. The verb laking a dot objects selects a proper type between multiple subtypes of the dot object. Type pumping operation makes that selection possible.

  • Dynamic programming is applicable to any situation where items from several groups must be combined to form an entity, such as a composite investment or a transportation route connecting several districts. The most desirable entity is constructed in stages by forming sub-entities that are candidates for inclusion in the most desirable entity are retained, and all other sub-entities are discarded. In the paper, the fuzzy dynamic programming is applied to the situation where each investment in the set has the following characteristics : the amount to be invested has several possible values, and the rte of return varies with the amount invested. Each sum that may be invested represents a distinct level of investment , and the investment therefore has multiple levels. A numeric example constructing a combination of multilevel investments is given in the paper.
