A Vigilance control is a device fitted in the driving cab of a railway train to ensure that the driver is alert on the job. A simple vigilance control requires that the driver press a button at intervals not less than a certain amount and not more than another amount of time. If the driver fails to operate the vigilance control within those limits, a hooter sounds, and should the driver still doesn't operate the vigilance control then the brakes are applied. If the driver falls asleep or takes ill, then clearly such a vigilance control will sooner or later apply the brakes. The this vigilance control system which is applied to reduce the drive load at Syria diesel multiple unit train is proposed.

Implanted telemetry systems provide the ability to monitor different species of animals while they move within their cages. Species monitored include mice, rats, rabbits, dogs, pigs, primates, sheep, horses, cattle, and others. A miniature transmitter implanted in each animal measures one or more parameters. Parameters measured include arterial pressure, intra-pleural pressure, left ventricular pressure, intra-ocular pressure, bladder pressure, ECG, EMG, EEG, EOG, temperature, activity, and other parameters and transmits the data via radio frequency signals to a nearby receiver. Every conventional dedicated transmitter contains one or more sensors, cpu and battery. Due to the expected life of the battery, the measuring time is limited. To overcome these problems, electromagnetic inductive coupling based wireless power transmission technology using multiple transmit coils were proposed, with each coil having a different active area driven by the coil driver. In this research, a parallel resonance based coil driver and serial resonance based coil driver are proposed. From the experiments we see that the parallel coil driver shows better performance under a low impedance and multiple coils configuration. However, the serial coil driver is more efficient for high impedance transmit coils.

The rolling stocks of KORAIL are KTX, Saemaulho Multiple Unit(PP), New Electrical Locomotive(DL), Electrical Locomotive(EL), Diesel Locomotive, Metropolitan Commuter Train(CDC), VVVF and Resistance Controlled Multiple Unit, etc. EMU with the maximum speed of 150km/h is under the test run at the moment. Electrical Multiple Units for mainlines with 180km/h speed are supposed to be introduced as a substitute for Saemaulho Multiple Unit which is scheduled to be out of service. But the specification standard for the control board design of train driver's cab does not exist and there is no a study for layout and type of controlling device with driver's ergonomical approach. That's why the types of controller and operating are different from rolling stocks, which has high possibility of driver's human error and needs education whenever a new car comes in. Based on the opinion poll of drivers, design specification of safety engineering and ergonomics for controlling devices and safety facilities can improve exact control for devices and deal quickly with an emergency so as to improve rolling stock safety and operational efficiency.

In this paper, we propose a new safety system composed of wearable devices, driver's seat belt, and integrating controllers. The wearable device and driver's seat belt capture driver's biological information, while the integrating controller analyzes captured signal to alarm the driver or directly control the car appropriately according to the status of the driver. Previous studies regarding driver's safety from driver's seat, steering wheel, or facial camera to capture driver's physiological signal and facial information had difficulties in gathering accurate and continuous signals because the sensors required the upright posture of the driver. Utilizing wearable sensors, however, our proposed system can obtain continuous and highly accurate signals compared to the previous researches. Our advanced wearable apparatus features a sensor that measures the heart rate, skin conductivity, and skin temperature and applies filters to eliminate the noise generated by the automobile. Moreover, the acceleration sensor and the gyro sensor in our wearable device enable the reduction of the measurement errors. Based on the collected bio-signals, the criteria for identifying the driver's condition were presented. The accredited certification body has verified that the devices has the accuracy of the level of medical care. The laboratory test and the real automobile test demonstrate that our proposed system is good for the measurement of the driver's condition.

In the AMP(Asymmetric Multiprocessing) based dual core using core-specific operating system in a single processor system, shared memory method is used to send data between processors in dual core. To used shared memory in different operating systems, there is a problem of needing to solving the issue of message communication and synchronization between the two operations systems. In this paper, separate memory controller was used for data sharing between different processor cores in dual core environment. This controller can designate two slave ports to allow simultaneous access from two processors, and in the case of process data simultaneously by two processors, priority order of slave ports is determined through memory mediator. When sending data from A to B processor, SRAM area was logically separated into 8 pages. It allowed using memory area from multiple processes with the size of 4KByte per page, and control register with the size of 4Byte was used to discern the usability of current page.

HDD-based RAIDs have been used in high-capacity storage systems for traditional data server. However, their data reliability are relatively low and they consume lots of power since hard disk drive is weak on shock and its power consumption is high due to frequent spindle motor operation. Therefore, this paper presents new SSD based RAID system architecture using various erasure codes. The proposed methode applys Reed-Solomon, EVENODD, and Liberation coding schemes onto file system level and device driver level, respectively. Besides, it uses data allocation method to minimize the side effect of reducing the lifespan of SSD. Detail experimental results show that Liberation code increase wear-leveling rates of SSD based RAID-6 more than other codes. The SSD based RAID system applying erasure codes at the device driver level shows better performance than that at the file system level. I/O performance of RAID-6 system using SSD is 4.5%~8.5% higher than that of using HDD and the power consumption of the RAID system using SSD is 18%~40% less than that of using HDD.

Single-electron transistor (SET)-based logic cells and SET/FET hybrid integrated circuits have been fabricated on SOI chips. The input-output voltage transfer characteristic of the SET-based complementary logic cell shows an inverting behavior where the output voltage gain is estimated to be about 1.2 at 4.2K. The SET/FET output driver, consisting of one SET and three FETs, yields a high voltage gain of 13 and power amplification with a wide-range output window for driving next circuit. Finally, the SET/FET literal gate for a multi-valued logic cell, comprising of an SET, an FET and a constant-current load, displays a periodic voltage output of high/low level multiple switching with a swing as high as 200mV. The multiple switching functionality of all the fabricated logic circuits could be enhanced by utilizing a side gate incorporated to each SET component to enable the phase control of Coulomb oscillations, which is one of the unique characteristics of the SET-based logic circuits.

Recent Automotive technology is driven from mechanical device to the electronic components which improve the vehicle's safety and convenience. The future competitiveness of the car will come from safety issues and energy efficiency, convenience and the application of the technologies. In this study, various techniques for driver drowsiness detection are introduced and compared with each others. The advantages and disadvantages of commercially available technologies and developed technologies are compared. To enhance the detection resolution, multiple sensing technologies are introduced in this paper. The feasibility of two drowsiness detection methods, that is, existing camera image recognition method and bio signal analysis method, are tested. The direct drowsiness detection by the camera image of eyes and driver's vital signs detected indirectly are combined and analyzed by the developed noble algorithm for stress, fatigue, drowsiness detection with a more accurate high-drowsiness detection.
In this paper, we present a new method for monitoring of ECU's sensor signals of vehicle. In order to measure the ECU's sensor signals, the interfaced circuit is designed to communicate ECU and the Embedded Linux is used to monitor communication result through Web the Embedded Linux system and this system is said "ECU Interface Part". In ECU Interface Part the interface circuit is designed to match voltage level between ECU and SA-1110 micro controller and interface circuit to communicate ECU according to the ISO, SAE communication protocol standard. Because Embedded Linux does not allow to access hardware directly in application level, anyone who wants to modify any low level hardware must develop device driver. To monitor ECU's sensor signals the most important thing is to match serial level between ECU and ECU Interface Part. It means to communicate correctly between two hardware we need to match voltage and signal level, and need to match baudrate. The voltage of SA-1110 is 0 ${\sim}$ +3.3V and ECU is 0 ${\sim}$ +12V and, ECU's communication Line K does multiple operation so, the interface circuit is used to match voltage and signal level. In Addition to ECU's baudrate is 10400bps, it's not standard baudrate in computer environment. So, we need to develop a device driver to control the interface circuit, and change baudrate. To monitor ECU's sensor signals through web there's a network socket program is working in Embedded Linux. It works as server program and manages user's connections and commands. Anyone who wants to monitor ECU's sensor signals he just only connect to Embedded Linux system with web browser then, Embedded Linux webserver will return the ActiveX webbased measurement software. It works in web browser and inits ECU, as a result it returns sensor signals through web. All the programs are developed with GCC(GNU C Compiler) and, webbased measurement software is developed with Borland C++ Builder.
