Plastics are one of difficult materials for recycling due to their characteristics in use. Recycling ratio of waste plastics was around 40% in last year in Japan, which includes energy recovery. Feed stock recycling and mechanical recycling are not easy because of additives in commercial plastics. Then, pyrolysis treatments have been done to recovery energy. Although plastics are easy to fire, complete combustion of them is not easy if anti-firing agents are added especially. Therefore, researches on pyrolysis or combustion behaviors of plastics containing additives are important from a view point recycling of plastics. Direct observation of popular plastics like polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), polyphenyle ether (PPE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to investigate their pyrolysis behaviors in the present study. In case of PS, melting and gas evolution started at 9$0^{\circ}C$ and 39$0^{\circ}C$ respectively. And combustion finished at 445$^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, more than $600^{\circ}C$ and sufficient oxygen are required for complete combustion of PC and PPE.
About supply and demand to see that you need to match, the limitations of wind power capacity is low demand and the commitment of the general generator will exist between the minimum generation. if the turbine's output can be controlled, The limitation of wind power capacity will be adopted based on instant power generation. Namely, The minimum limits of wind power generation based load operation by calculating the amount that is higher than if the output should be restricted to highest operation. in this paper, we committed to the demand for low enough that the combination of the general generator of wind power capacity to accommodate the operation of determining whether the limit is intended to. For this, power system analysis program PSS/E was used, Jeju system by implementing the model simulations were performed.

For the design of welded bogie frame, the concept of multidisciplinary engineering activities, i.e. static, fatigue and dynamic analysis, has been applied, in which the sharing of design parameters related with each analysis and the collaboration of the working parts in charge should be fulfilled. However, in spite of these necessities, the multi-disciplinary engineering activities couldn't be performed in practice due to tack of the automation of the required analysis. In this paper, an automation of fatigue durability analysis of welded bogie frame according to UIC-Code was proposed by using the Model Center, which enables to integrate the several tools for the fatigue durability analysis, i.e. I-DEAS, ANSYS and BFAP, and to perform iterative analysis works in relation to the geometrical change of transom support bracket. Besides, the wrapping programs to control I/O-data and interfaces of these tools were developed. The developed automation technique brings not only significant decreasing man-hour required in the durability analysis, but also providing a platform of the multidisciplinary engineering activities.
As cultural diversity has gained a great deal of attention and the social fabric of Korean society is redefined, the number of studies on multi-cultural family homes has been growing in the area of human ecology, but relevant research is rarely found on the subject of housing. While the emphasis of housing research is on multidisciplinary approaches and empirical research is highly valued, a theoretical and methodological platform for discussing the new rising agenda of multi-cultural family homes is lacking. The purpose of this study was to explore approaches to and to discuss the issues in research for multi-cultural family homes in terms of housing theories and multidisciplinary approaches. To understand the housing related needs of multi-cultural families, this study highlights social constructionism, the ecological perspective, and feminist epistemology. These three multidisciplinary approaches were useful for generating an ontological analysis of multi-cultural family homes. Further, this study highlights two housing related theories, the microsociological and housing pathways approaches, for dealing with multi-cultural family homes. In conclusion, the five approaches were useful for exploring issues in housing research on multi-cultural family homes with appropriate research methods like hermeneutics, quantitative, and qualitative methods, and field research. Insights into using perspectives and holistic approaches might be useful for solving the problems of multi-cultural family homes in Korea.
Objective: To explore clinical experience and propose new ideas for treating children diagnosed with orbital rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data for30 patients (16 males and 14 females, with a median age of 6.2 years) with primary orbital RMS who were enrolled in the Department of Eye Oncology and Pediatrics of our hospital from November 2004 to December 2012. International Rhabdomyosarcoma Organization Staging Standards indicated that among the 30 patients, 4 cases were in phase II, 20 were in phase III, and 6 were in phase IV. All patients underwent a multidisciplinary collaborative model of comprehensive treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, external radiotherapy, $^{125}I$ radioactive particle implantation, and autologous peripheral blood stem-cell transplantation). Results: Follow-up was conducted until March 2013, with a median follow-up time of 47.2 months (5 to 95 months), and 7 deaths occurred. The 2-year estimated survival rate reached 86.1%, the ${\geq}3$-year estimated survival rate was 77%, and the 5-year estimated survival rate was 70.6%. Conclusions: The multidisciplinary collaborative model can be a safe and effective approach to the comprehensive treatment of children with orbital RMS. It has clinical significance in improving the tumor remission rate.

Multidisciplinary design optimization based on independent subspaces (MDOIS) is a simple and practical method that can be applied to the practical engineering MDO problems. However, the current version of MDOIS does not handle the common design variables. A new version of MDOIS is proposed and named as MDOIS/2006. It is a two-level MDO method while the original MDOIS is a single-level method. At first, system analysis is performed to solve the coupling in the analysis. If the termination criteria are not satisfied, each discipline solves its own design problem. Each discipline in the lower level solves the problem with common design variables while they are constrained by equality constraints. In the upper level, the common design variables of related disciplines are determined by using the optimum sensitivity of the objective function. To validate MDOIS/2006, mathematical problem and NASA test bed problem are solved. The results are compared with those from other MDO methods. Finally, MDOIS/2006 is applied to flow patterner design and shows that it can be successfully applied to the practical engineering MDO problem.

A design framework to employ the multidisciplinary design optimization technologies on a computer system has been developed and is named as the Extensible Multidisciplinary Design Integration and Optimization System (EMDIOS). The framework can not only effectively solve complex system design problems but also conveniently handle MDO problems. Since the EMDIOS exploits both state-of-the-art of computing capabilities and sophisticated optimization techniques, it can overcome many scalability and complexity problems. It can make users who are not even familiar with the optimization technology use EMDIOS easily to solve their design problems. The client of EMDIOS provides a front end for engineers to communicate the EMDIOS engine and the server controls and manages various resources luck as scheduler, analysis codes, and user interfaces. EMDIOS client supports data monitoring, design problem definition, request for analyses and other user tasks. Three main components of the EMDIOS are the Engineering Design Object Model which is a basic idea to construct EMDIOS, EMDIOS Language (EMDIO-L) which is a script language representing design problems, and visual modeling tools which can help engineers define design problems using graphical user interface. Several example problems are solved and EMDIOS has shown various capabilities such as ease of use, process integration, and optimization monitoring.

Aggression can be defined as 'behavior intended to harm another' which can be seen both from humans and animals. However, trying to understand aggression in a simplistic view may make it difficult to develop an integrated approach. So, we tried to explain aggression in a multidisciplinary approach, affected by various factors such as neuroanatomical structures, neurotransmitter, genes, and sex hormone. Parallel with animal models, human aggression can be understood with two phenomena, offensive aggression and defensive aggression. Neurobiological model of aggression give a chance to explain aggression with an imbalance between prefrontal regulatory influences and hyper-reactivity of the subcortical areas involved in affective evaluation, finally in an aspect of brain organization. Serotonin and GABA usually inhibit aggression and norepinephrine while glutamate and dopamine precipitate aggressive behavior. As there is no one gene which has been identified as a cause of aggression, functions between gene to gene interaction and gene to environment interaction are being magnified. Contributions of sex hormone to aggression, especially molecular biologic interaction of testosterone and regulation of estrogen receptor have been emphasized during the research on aggression. This multidisciplinary approach on aggression with types, neurochemical bases, and animal models can bring integrated interpretation on aggression.
Locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA-NSCLC) is composed of heterogeneous subgroups that require a multidisciplinary team approach in order to ensure optimal therapy for each patient. Since 2010, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network has recommended chemoradiation therapy (CRT) for bulky mediastinal disease and surgical combination for those patients with single-station N2 involvement who respond to neoadjuvant therapy. According to lung cancer tumor boards, thoracic surgeons make a decision on the resectability of the tumor, if it is determined to be unresectable, concurrent CRT (CCRT) is considered the next choice. However, the survival benefit of CCRT over sequential CRT or radiotherapy alone carries the risk of additional toxicity. Considering severe adverse events that may lead to death, fit patients who are able to tolerate CCRT must be identified by multidisciplinary tumor board. Decelerated approaches, such as sequential CRT or high-dose radiation alone may be a valuable alternative for patients who are not eligible for CCRT. As a new treatment strategy, investigators are interested in the application of the innovative radiation techniques, trimodality therapy combining surgery after high-dose definitive CCRT, and the combination of radiation with targeted or immunotherapy agents. The updated results and on-going studies are thoroughly reviewed in this article.

As the boundaries between disciplines have been weakened and interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary subjects have increased, there is a limitation to express subjects with DDC. This study evaluates DDC instructions using interdisciplinary numbers and classifying more than one discipline through Delphi research. As a result, it is found that there is a need for defining separately 'interdisciplinary subjects' and 'multidisciplinary subjects', based on the level of integration among disciplines, and improving the instruction to maintain the consistency in assigning and filing classification numbers. It is also discussed that to enhance the symbols' power of expression, an analytic/synthetic method could be adopted.
