위스타트(We Start) 언어중재 프로그램이 다문화가정 유아들의 수용.표현 언어에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the We Start Language Intervention Program on the Improvement of Children's Receptive-Expressive Language Abilities in Multi-Cultural Families)

  • The purpose of this study was to review the current language level of children from multi-cultural background and whether the language level of these children would be increased after participating in the 'We Start Language Intervention Program'. The subjects were 30 36-75-month old children attending daycare centers in Ansan city, South Korea. The results showed that the receptive and expressive language levels of children from multi-cultural families were low compared to those of other children, and that their expressive language level was evaluated more negatively than their receptive language level. After participating in the 'We Start Language Intervention Program', language test scores, language age and language percentile rank were all increased. It was also found that the developmental language level of multi-cultural children increased, and that of the children that had a language delay or language disorder decreased.

로봇 착유시스템을 위한 다관절 매니퓰레이터 개발 (Development of a Multi-joint Robot Manipulator for Robot Milking System)

  • The purpose of this study was the development of a multi-joint robot manipulator for milking robot system. The multi-joint robot manipulator was controlled by 5 drivers with driver controller through the position information obtained from the image processing system. The robot manipulator to automatically attach each teat cup to the teats of a milking cow was developed and it's motion was accurately measured with error rate. Results were as follows. 1. Maximum errors in position accuracy were 4mm along X-axis, 4.5mm along Y-axis and 0.9mm along Z-axis. Absolute distance errors were maximum 4.8mm, minimum 2.7mm, and average 3.6mm. 2. Errors of repeatability were maximum 3.0mm along X-axis, 3.0mm along Y-axis, and 0.5mm along Z-axis. Distance error values were maximum 3.2mm, minimum 2.2mm, and average 2.5mm. It is envisaged that multi-joint robot manipulator can be applicate to milking robot system being developed in consideration of the experiment results.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the control technology of the welding distortion caused by Auto NG-GTA welding process at the STS 304 multi-pass butt weldment. For it, heat input model for Auto NG-GTA welding process was established and verified by measuring temperature change and molten pool shape at the bead-on-plate weldment. With heat input model developed, the effect of the tension load on the amount of welding distortion at the STS 304 multi-pass butt weldment was evaluated using the thermo-elasto-plastic FE analysis. In accordance with FEA results, the angular distortion and transverse shrinkage sharply decreased with an increase in tension load. This result indicates that tensioning method was verified as a countermeasure against the welding distortion of STS 304 multi-pass butt weldment.

다중운동 프로그램이 만성 요통 환자의 통증 강도, 몸통 근력 및 오스웨스트리 장애지수에 미치는 영향 (Effects of a Multi-modal Exercise Program on Pain Intensity, Trunk Muscle Strength, and Oswestry Disability Index in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a multi-modal exercise program for patients with chronic low back with respect to pain intensity, trunk muscle strength and Oswestry disability index. Methods: Thirty patients with chronic low back pain were recruited and divided equally into two groups. The multi-modal training program comprised a series of exercises such as warm-up, stabilization exercises, stretching, endurance exercises, and cool down whereas the control group performed only stabilization exercises. The both group spent an equal amount of time performing 60 minutes per day, three times per week, for five weeks. Results: The experimental group demonstrated statistically significant improvements in range of motion, trunk muscle strength, the visual analogue scale, and the Oswestry Disability Index (p<.05). Intergroup comparison showed a statistically significant difference in the range of motion of the lumbar spine and the degree of disability in the experimental group. Muscle strength and pain were statistically significant in both groups. Conclusion: The multi-modal exercise program is effective for patients with chronic low back pain, as it reduces lower back pain, increases trunk muscles strength, and decrease the potential for becoming disabled.

  • Multi-copter of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was initially developed as strategic technology in the only military field, but it is developing into an industrial field with a wide range of applications in the civil sector based on the development and convergence of aviation technology and information and communication technology. Currently, the degree of utilization of multi-copter is increasing in various industries for the purpose of performing classic tactical missions, logistics transportation, farm management, internet supply, video filming, weather management, life-saving, etc, and active technology development responding to market demand. Existing commercial multi-copter mainly use an electric energy propulsion system consisting of an electric battery and a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor. It is the limitations for usage in the flying time (up to 20 minutes) and payload (less than 20 kg). this study aims to overcome these limitations and expand the commercialization of engine-powered multi-copter of UAV in various industries in the futures.

대학 캠퍼스 다목적 홀의 실내디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Interior Design of A Campus Multi-purpose Hall)

  • This paper proposes a way to design a multi-purpose hall which can serve as a culture and art space for college students and which can also accommodate college students' behaviour characteristics. The major claims made in this paper are as follows. First the hall should be located where it is easily accessible from major and minor campus facilities. Second friendliness between inside and outside of the hall should be established by providing a Gray Zone such as floor or a yard. Third lobby should have a enough space for the entrance and exit of the hall and for rest and refreshments. Fourth in addition to a fixed stage height-adjustable stage and booth should be provided in order to use the hall space for different use. Fifth in the color aspect high value and low chroma should be used to create tender and friendly atmospher and in the shape aspect a durable natural and functional design should be considered in order to create a modern atmosphere.

  • This paper concerns on developing a multi-purpose test device for measuring mechanical properties of shoes. The device was modified from a commercial robot manipulator, with which impact, bending, and pronation tests were suggested to evaluate performances of shoes. From several experiments, the developed device could produce repetitive and consistent results corresponding to the different material of shoes. In the shoe industry, it is expected that the device could contribute to developing a better shoe for comfort of costumers.

  • Korea Multi-Purpose SATellite (KOMPSAT) uses software-controlled unregulated bus system In which the main bus is directly connected to a battery and the duty-ratio for PWM switch is generated by the on-board satellite software algorithm. In this paper, we propose a new power-stage circuit that can be available for modularization of a solar array regulator(SAR) which is used in the KOMPSAT. The operations at each mode and current sharing characteristics of the power-stage are analyzed and verified by simulation and experiments on a prototype converter.

  • The purpose of this study is development of operation model for flood control of multi-reservoir in river basin, which can provide the best decision of reservoir release in timely and appropriately manner using CSUDP. For verification and validation of the developed system, the Gum River Basin was selected, which has 82 rainfall gauging stations, 28 water level gauging and 2 multi-purpose reservoirs which can control flood. There was a successful simulation of the developed model and system, using the real-time data from the Han River Basin Flood Forecast Center. Specially, case study for '1995 flood was performed.

오류 정정 부호를 사용하는 범용 무선 통신 칩으로 구현된 스마트 미터링 무선 네트워크 시스템 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Wireless Communication Networks for Smart Metering Implemented with Channel Coding Adopted Multi-Purpose Wireless Communication Chip)

  • Smart metering is one of the most implementable internet-of-thing service. In order to implement the smart metering, a wireless communication network should be newly designed and evaluated so as to satisfy quality-of-service of smart metering. In this paper, we consider a wireless network for the smart metering implemented with multi-purpose wireless chips and channel coding-functioned micro controllers. Especially, channel coding is newly adopted to improve successful frame transmission probability. Based on the successful frame transmission probability, average transmission delay and delay violation probability are analyzed. Using the analytical results, service coverage expansion is evaluated. Through the delay analysis, service feasibility can be verified. According to our results, channel coding needs not to be utilized to improve the delay performance if the smart metering service coverage is several tens of meters. However, if more coverage is required, chanel coding adoption definitely reduces the delay time and improve the service feasibility.
