In general multi-view system, all the view sequences acquired at the server are transmitted to the client. However, this kind of system requires high processing power of the server as well as the client, thus it is posing a difficulty in practical applications. To overcome this problem, a relatively simple method is to transmit only two view-sequences requested by the client in order to deliver a stereoscopic video. In this system, effective communication between the server and the client is one of important aspects. Therefore, we propose an efficient multi-view system that transmits two view-sequences according to user's request. The view selection process is integrated into MPEG-21 DIA (Digital Item Adaptation) so that our system is compatible to MPEG-21 multimedia framework. Furthermore, multi-view descriptors related to multi-view camera and systems are newly introduced. The syntax of the descriptions and their elements is represented in XML (extensible Markup Language) schema. Intermediate view reconstruction (IVR) is used to reduce such discomfort with excessive disparity. Furthermore, IVR is useful for smooth transition between two stereoscopic view sequences. Finally, through the implementation of testbed, we can show the valuables and possibilities of our system.

We present the design and implementation of a unique sensing and actuation application -- the Illuminator: a sensor network-based intelligent light control system for entertainment and media production. Unlike most sensor network applications, which focus on sensing alone, a distinctive aspect of the Illuminator is that it closes the loop from light sensing to lighting control. We describe the Illuminator's design requirements, system architecture, algorithms, implementation and experimental results. The system uses the Illumimote, a multi-modal and high fidelity light sensor module well-suited for wireless sensor networks, to satisfy the high-performance light sensing requirements of entertainment and media production applications. The Illuminator system is a toolset to characterize the illumination profile of a deployed set of fixed position lights, generate desired lighting effects for moving targets (actors, scenic elements, etc.) based on user constraints expressed in a formal language, and to assist in the set up of lights to achieve the same illumination profile in multiple venues. After characterizing deployed lights, the Illuminator computes optimal light settings at run-time to achieve a user-specified actuation profile, using an optimization framework based on a genetic algorithm. Uniquely, it can use deployed sensors to incorporate changing ambient lighting conditions and moving targets into actuation. Experimental results demonstrate that the Illuminator handles various high-level user requirements and generates an optimal light actuation profile. These results suggest that the Illuminator system supports entertainment and media production applications.
With the progress of social economy and science and technology, network media technology has developed rapidly, China has ushered in the network information age, and the network buzzwords emerged to reflect the interaction and influence between language and society. The network buzzwords of "X+ ren "indirectly show the social psychology and value orientation of modern people with their unique structural characteristics, semantic connotation and cultural deposits, and so on. Based on this, we have conducted a multi-angle investigation on the network buzzwords "X+ ren". This paper first analyzes the structure types and syntactic functions of the lexical model of "X+ ren ", then makes a semantic analysis of the lexical model of "X+ Ren ", and finally investigates the causes and influences of the popularity of "X+ ren ". Through the investigation, we believe that "X+ ren "will continue to grow, and "X+ ren" will continue to attract the attention of the academic community.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of UBL (Ubiquitous basedlearning) on fashion and consumer behavior course. Thirty-one undergraduate university students completed a 15-week capstone course in a clothing and textiles department. About sixteen percent students were majoring in liberal arts and sixty-three percent of the participants were majoring in the clothing and textiles. Mainly, the participants were junior and senior undergraduate students. The participants demonstrated positive attitude toward the UBL (Ubiquitous based-learning) on fashion and consumer behavior course. The results showed that seventy-seven percent of the participants have more opportunities to handle multi-media resources using social network and social media. Eighty percent of the participants have been developed of communication skills. Seventy-one percent of the participants were helped to learn foreign language skills. Overall, most of the participants were satisfied that their presentation skill was improved in class and they had willing to recommend the class to other students for the future.
This study aims to analyze the Korean dataset by performing Korean sentence Emotion Analysis in the radio listeners' text messages collected personally. Currently, in Korea, research on the Emotion Analysis of Korean sentences is variously continuing. However, it is difficult to expect high accuracy of Emotion Analysis due to the linguistic characteristics of Korean. In addition, a lot of research has been done on Binary Sentiment Analysis that allows positive/negative classification only, but Multi-class Emotion Analysis that is classified into three or more emotions requires more research. In this regard, it is necessary to consider and analyze the Korean dataset to increase the accuracy of Multi-class Emotion Analysis for Korean. In this paper, we analyzed why Korean Emotion Analysis is difficult in the process of conducting Emotion Analysis through surveys and experiments, proposed a method for creating a dataset that can improve accuracy and can be used as a basis for Emotion Analysis of Korean sentences.
Recently, communication through online is increasing due to the spread of non-face-to-face services due to COVID-19. In non-face-to-face situations, the other person's opinions and emotions are recognized through modalities such as text, speech, and images. Currently, research on multimodal emotion recognition that combines various modalities is actively underway. Among them, emotion recognition using speech data is attracting attention as a means of understanding emotions through sound and language information, but most of the time, emotions are recognized using a single speech feature value. However, because a variety of emotions exist in a complex manner in a conversation, a method for recognizing multiple emotions is needed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a multi-emotion regression model that extracts feature vectors after preprocessing speech data to recognize complex, inherent emotions and takes into account the passage of time.
Since the end of the $19^{th}$ century, Korean English-language newspapers have been published in Korea to inform readers about Korea and Korean people's point of view concerning world problems. Among them was the Korean Republic (KR), the former name of the Korea Herald, founded on August $15^{th}$, 1953 (Korean Liberation Day from Japanese colonial rule). This newspaper was started especially to report on international affairs, just after the Armistice agreement was signed on July $27^{th}$, 1953, at the initiative of the first president of the Republic of Korea, Syngman Rhee. He vehemently expressed his and the Korean people's opinion about Korean problems in world politics where big powers were dominating and deciding small countries' destinies. This paper is written to show that Korean English-language newspapers were used as tool of public diplomacy not only for the readers of target countries but also for Korean readers, well before the media diplomacy theory became popular several decades later. In the deplorable world situation where Korea was colonized and divided into halves by the wills of the super powers, the Korean media participated actively via dialogue in English to solve the Korean problem. This paper studies the editorials of the KR for one year, the year just after its foundation. Vis-a-vis the United States, the KR defended its political system of free democracy by insisting on the Korean people's hopes, the reunification of the peninsula and acquiring American assistance in economic and military areas. Regarding Japan, Korea had doubt about its expansionist policy by way of rearmament. First, the Korean government tried to defend its territorial waters, including Dokdo Island. As for multi-lateral relationships, Korea was concerned about the spread of communism to its territory in the world where socialism was dominating.

For Romantic women writers the paratext itself is essentially a masculine literary space affiliated with established writing practices; however, this paper suggests that Charlotte Turner Smith's mode of discourse in her use of notes and their relation to the text proper are never fixed in her contemplative blank-verse long poem, Beachy Head (1807). Even though the display of learning in the paratext partly supports the woman writer's claim to authority, this paper argues that Smith's endnotes also indicate her way of challenging the double bind for women writers, summoning masculine authority on the margins of her book while simultaneously interrogating essentialist thinking and instructions about one's identity in a culture and on the printed page. The poem shows how the fringes of the book can be effectively transformed from a masculine site of authority to an increasingly feminized site of interchange as Smith writes with an awareness of patriarchal, imperial abuses of power in that area of the book. There is a persistent transgression of cultural/textual boundaries occurring in Beachy Head, which explores the very scene and languages of imperial encounter. Accordingly, if Wordsworth's theory of composition suggests a subjective and abstract poetic experience-an experience without mediation-in which its medium's purpose seems to be to disappear from the reader's consciousness, an examination of the alternative discourse of self-exposure in Smith's poem reveals the essentially fluid nature of media-consciousness in the Romantic era, which remains little acknowledged in received accounts of Romantic literary culture.
