Conventional Real Time Kinematics (RTK) collect measurements in stationary state for several minutes to resolve the integer ambiguity in the carrier phase measurement or resolve the integer ambiguity on the move assuming low maneuvering movement. In this paper, an On The Move-RTK (OTM-RTK) technique that resolves the integer ambiguity on the move for fast and precise positioning of ground vehicles such as high maneuvering vehicles was proposed. The OTM-RTK estimates the precise amount of movement between epochs using the carrier phase measurements acquired on the move, and by using this, resolves the integer ambiguity within a short period of time by evaluating the integer ambiguity candidates for each epoch. This study analyzed the integer ambiguity resolution performance using field driving experiment data in order to verify the performance of the proposed method. The results of the experiment showed that the precise trajectory including the initial position bias can be obtained prior to resolving the integer ambiguity, and after resolving the integer ambiguity on the move, it was possible to obtain the bias-corrected precise position solution. It was confirmed that the integer ambiguity can be resolved by collecting measurements of about 10 epochs from the moving vehicle using a dual frequency receiver.

During the process of excavation for substructures of buildings, precise and constant measurements of retaining wall displacement is crucial for construction to be complete and safe. Currently an inclinometer is used to measure displacement around the perimeter of an excavation site. The existing inclinometer system requires an instrument to be placed inside pre-bored holes for each measurement with an typical interval of two weeks. This makes it difficult to obtain continuous displacement data, especially during a critical time such as rainy season in summer. Also, the existing inclinometer is placed at certain distance away from the retaining wall system itself. Thus, exact measurement of retaining wall movement is compromised because of the distance between the retaining wall and the inclinometer. This paper presents the development of wireless inclinometer system for the displacement measurement of retaining walls by being attached directly to the retaining wall. The result of the application of the developed systems are provided with advanced ubiquitous sensor network (USN) system features. The USN technique incorporated into the system enables users to monitor movement data from wherever possible and convenient such as construction manager's office on site or any other places connected through internet. The research work presented in this paper will provide a basis to save construction time and cost by preventing safe-related unexpected delay of construction due to the failure or collapse of retaining walls.
In this paper, we propose a real-time bus arrival notification system using deep learning to guarantee movement rights for the visually impaired. In modern society, by using location information of public transportation, users can quickly obtain information about public transportation and use public transportation easily. However, since the existing public transportation information system is a visual system, the visually impaired cannot use it. In Korea, various laws have been amended since the 'Act on the Promotion of Transportation for the Vulnerable' was enacted in June 2012 as the Act on the Movement Rights of the Blind, but the visually impaired are experiencing inconvenience in using public transportation. In particular, from the standpoint of the visually impaired, it is impossible to determine whether the bus is coming soon, is coming now, or has already arrived with the current system. In this paper, we use deep learning technology to learn bus numbers and identify upcoming bus numbers. Finally, we propose a method to notify the visually impaired by voice that the bus is coming by using TTS technology.

In this paper, we propose a conceptual framework that identifies video frames in motion containing the movement of people and vehicles in traffic videos. The automatic selection of video frames in motion is an important topic in security and surveillance video because the number of videos to be monitored simultaneously is simply too large due to limited human resources. The conventional method to identify the areas in motion is to compute the differences over consecutive video frames, which has been costly because of its high computational complexity. In this paper, we reduced the overall complexity by examining only the keyframes (or I-frames). The basic assumption is that the time period between I-frames is rather shorter (e.g., 1/10 ~ 3 secs) than the usual length of objects in motion in video (i.e., pedestrian walking, automobile passing, etc.). The proposed method estimates the possibility of videos containing motion between I-frames by evaluating the difference of consecutive I-frames with the long-time statistics of the previously decoded I-frames of the same video. The experimental results showed that the proposed method showed more than 80% accuracy in short surveillance videos obtained from different locations while keeping the computational complexity as low as 20 % compared to the HM decoder.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship of the factors which could be influenced by orthognathic surgery especillay SSRO. We measured the amounts of the maximum opening, lateral movements, maximum velocity and pattern of mandibular path during the opening and closing of mandible at the following times ; preoperative, 1 month after operation, 6 months after operation respectively using MKG. And the results were compared according to the categorized subgroups. Following results were obtained : 1. The change of the amounts of mandibular lateral movement and maximum opening velocity were statistically different between male and female (p<0.05), but the others were not. 2. According to the method of operation, there was no difference in the change of the mandibular movements between the group of SSRO and SSRO plus LeFort I osteotomy (p>0.05). 3. According to the amounts of mandibular movement, the recovery of left lateral movement of the group of $6{\sim}10mm$ was better than the other groups (p<0.05). 4. In the frontal pattern of the opening and closing of the mandible, the complex deflected type (F5), simple deflected type (F4), complex deviated type (F3), simple deviated type (F2), straight type (F1) were obtained in order at the time of preoperative, simple deflected type, simple deviated type, complex deviated type, straight type, complex deflected type in order at the time of 1 month after surgery, and the result at the time of 6 months after surgery was the same with that of the time of preoperative. In the sagittal pattern, non-coincident type (S2) was predominant at the time of preoperative, and coincident type (S1) was predominant at the time of 1 month after surgery. After 6 months, the result was also the same with that of the preoperative in sagittal pattern. 5. There was not a statistical difference in the change of the mandibular movement between group of presence of the preoperative TMJ symptoms and non-presence group (p>0.05). 6. There was not a statistical difference in the change of the mandibular movement between repositioning device applied group and non-applied group (p>0.05). 7. Sixty three percents of the patients who had preoperative TMJ symptoms were improved after surgery and preoperative TMJ symptoms were more improved after operation in the repositioning device non-applied group statistically (p<0.05).
Purpose: This study compared the characteristics of the brake response time during the driving task between elderly and younger drivers. Methods: The participants consisted of an elderly group (n=12) and a younger group (n=12). The brake response time (BRT), which consisted of the reaction time (RT) and movement time (MT), was assessed in an actual driving car. The BRT was measured at the initiation and termination of the brake response for the driving task Results: The elderly group showed a significantly longer delay in the initiation and termination of the brake response than the younger group. The BRT correlated significantly with both the RT and MT. However, the RT showed a more significant correlation. Conclusion: A delay in the initiation and termination of the brake response may have clinical implications. A further study will be needed to determine the different factors contributing to the driving performance of elderly drivers.
To investigate the movement of sperm head and the role of sperm neck in forward sperm motility in the Korean striped field mouse, Apodemus agrarius coreae, the morphological characteristics of the cauda epididymal spermatozoa were examined by light microscopy and scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Spermatozoa of A. agrarius coreae were characterized by the conspicuous shape of the acrosome and the long tail compared with those of other rodents. Total length of the sperm was $133\mu{m}$. The sperm head had a curved falciform shape. The head was 8.0${\mu}$m in length, and about 4.0 ${\mu}$m in width. The shape of acrosome had an openerlike form. The sperm tail (125 ${\mu}$m) consisted of four major segments: neck (0.5 ${\mu}$m), middle piece (29.5 ${\mu}$m), and principal piece plus the end piece (95 ${\mu}$m). The outer dense fibers were arranged in a horseshoe fashion, and No. 1, 5, 6, and 9 of the outer dense fibers were larger than the others. The mitochondrial bundles of middle piece were composed of a pair of arms, which surrounded the axone of the middle piece by the 45 0 angled helical structure. The total number of mitochondrial gyres was 188. In particular, the microfilament structures existed in plasma membrane of the sperm, which was adjacent to the acrosomal region on the nuclear membrane. The segmented columns were surrounded by microfilament structures, and the microfilament bundles were adjacent to the outer membrane of the first mitochondria of middle piece. This study presents for the first time the existence of microfilament structures within the plasma membrane of sperm which is located from the adjacent acrosome region to the connecting piece in sperm neck of Korean striped field mouse, Apodemus agrarius coreae. The present result suggests that the constriction and extension of microfilament in sperm neck as well as the wave-movement of sperm tail may play a role in the movement of sperm head.
Objective: To evaluate the effects of sit-to-stand (STS) imagery group training (IGT) on STS movement and balance performance for chronic hemiparetic stroke. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: A total of 30 people with chronic hemiparetic stroke (15 for STS-IGT group and 15 for control) were recruited in this study. The STS-IGT group participated in a videotape-based STS-IGT for 30 minutes a day, five days a week for six weeks, while the control group watched a documentary on television for the same period. The STS-IGT focused on a five-stage protocol. Specifically, external imagery was used during the four phases of the STS movement from the seat of the chair to standing up. All of the participants also participated in a regular rehabilitation program. STS movement and balance performance were assessed using three clinical measures. Results: After training, time to perform the 5-repetition STS test significantly increased in the STS-IGT group (change value, $4.0{\pm}2.0$ sec) compared with the control group (change value, $0.9{\pm}0.7$ sec) (p<0.05). There was a greater improvement in Berg balance scale scores in the STS-IGT group (change value, $0.2{\pm}4.1$ points) compared with the control group (change value, $0.3{\pm}0.9$ points) (p<0.05). There was a greater improvement in Timed Up and Go scores in the STS-IGT group (change value, $2.6{\pm}1.5$ sec) compared with the control group (change value, $0.9{\pm}1.0$ sec) (p<0.05). Conclusions: STS-IGT can be considered as a useful option for restoration of STS movement and balance performance for individuals with chronic hemiparetic stroke who are unable to fully participate in physical activities.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) on the postoperative patient's pain management and recovery of bowel movement with gastrointestinal cancer Method: The participants were 249 patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal disease and scheduled for elective surgery, who were recruited to either the postoperative patient-controlled analgesia group or epidural analgesia group. Participants aged 20 and above were recruited from P, K, D, and I university hospitals in B city. Pain visual analogue scale, and recovery of bowel movement according to PCA-related characteristics were measured using structured questionnaires from April 2005 through December 2005. Descriptive statistics t-test and F-test were used to analyze the data. SPSS WIN 10.0 program was used. Results: Mean score for pain was 62.31. Scores for pain on the visual analogue scale were significantly lower in the epidural-PCA than in the intravenous PCA, and also significantly lower in the absence of side effect of PCA than in the presence of side effect. Recovery time for bowel movement was significantly faster in the absence of side effect of PCA than in the presence of side effect. Conclusion: Based on the findings, there is a significant difference in pain and no difference in first passage of flatus according to PCA infusion route in patients who are post-operative for gastrointestinal cancer.

PURPOSES : In this study, we analyzed the road crossing behavior of older pedestrians on a mid-block signalized crosswalk, and compared it to that of younger pedestrians. In addition, we analyzed the correlation between accidents involving older pedestrians while crossing roads and their behavioral characteristics. Finally, we confirmed the reasons for an increase in accidents involving older pedestrians. METHODS : First, 30 areas with the highest incidence of accidents involving older pedestrians while crossing roads were selected as target areas for analysis. Next, we measured the start-up delay (the time elapsed from the moment the signal turns green to the moment the pedestrian starts walking) and head movement (the number of head turns during crossing a road) of 900 (450 older and 450 younger) pedestrians. The next step was to conduct a survey and confirm the differences in judgment between older and younger pedestrians about approaching vehicles. Finally, we analyzed the correlation between the survey results and traffic accidents. RESULTS : The average start-up delay and head movement of the older pedestrians was 1.58 seconds and 3.15 times, respectively. A definite correlation was obtained between head movement and the frequency of pedestrian traffic accidents. The results of our survey indicate that 17.3% of the older pedestrians and 7.8% of the younger pedestrians have a high crash risk. CONCLUSIONS : Behavioral characteristics of older pedestrians were closely correlated with accidents involving older pedestrians while crossing roads in mid-block signalized crosswalks. Our study indicates that in order to reduce the number of accidents involving older pedestrians, it is necessary to develop an improvement plan including measures such as installation of safety facilities taking the behavioral characteristics of older pedestrians into consideration and their safety education.
