In order to analyze the behavior of piled abutment adjacent to surcharge loads a numerical study was conducted. In 2D plane stalin analysis, the distribution of lateral soil movement was investigated by varying the thickness of clay layer and the magnitude of surcharge loads. In 3D analysis, the magnitude and distribution of lateral pile-soil movement were studied for different cap rigidity. Based on limited parametric studies, a simple method is proposed to identify the lateral pressure of piled abutment adjacent to surcharge loads.

The purpose of this study was to develop a program for analysis of eye movement on balance. Gain, phase and symmetry in eye movement were calculated automatically by softwere algorithm with C. It was concluded the algorithm established in this study will improve accuracy in evaluating balance function.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the quantitative analysis of biomechanical movement and the qualitative analysis of video software in order to evaluate for the walking movement. The fourteen collegiate students who agreed with the purpose and method of this study participated as subjects. The slow walking and fast walking of the subjects in the place of experiment were photographed, and calculated several mechanical factors. This empirical evidence from the experiment indicated the significant difference(p<.001) between each distant factors of the walking movement for both analyses methods, but there was no statistically significant difference between the spacial factors observed in the experiment. For more detail, no significant difference between the walking ratios that expressed the coordination between stride length and stride frequency was found. The findings also indicated the high coefficient of correlation(over r=.9) which supports higher explanation force for the biomechanical method and the Dartfish video software method. Therefore, if the data was gathered by using the proper experimental method, the video software method could be used just like the quantitative data of biomechanical method.
When deep excavation adjacent to an existing structure is performed, it is very important to minimize damage on the structure through the prediction of ground movement. In this paper, finite element analysis was performed to predict the ground movement, based on the data from site investigation and laboratory tests, when deep excavation close to a buried water tank was carried out in soft clay ground. The movement and stabilities of the soil-cement wall(SCW) and the adjacent structure were checked using the results of the analysis and the field measurement. The comparison between the measured and the predicted ground movements showed the significance of the excavation procedure and lowering of water level in the analytical model. In the future, it is needed to improve the prediction method for better estimation of the ground movement.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the deployment characteristics of korean and foreign mobile hospitals and to draw out the advantages and disadvantages based on the movement of patients. Methods: The arrangement and user movement lines of foreign mobile hospitals which were actually utilized, and the arrangements and user movement lines of korean mobile hospitals are compared and analyzed. Based on the results of the comparative analysis, we suggest the optimal placement of mobile hospital in Korea. Results: The recently developed Korean mobile hospitals have made many improvements. However, there is no practical use case for the mobile hospital in Korea, so it is necessary to establish the basis for the mobile hospital development site and the site access considerations. In addition, there is no detailed analysis of the movement of the administrators other than the medical staff, and it is considered that research on safe waste disposal is further needed. Implications: It is highly likely to be used as a basic data to find out the combination method of mobile hospitals that can efficiently deal with disasters through the arrangement and movement analysis of mobile hospitals in Korea and abroad.
This paper analyzed the characteristics of Motion Poster (Moster) and discussed the visual expression methods. To this end, the existing literature on motion posters was organized. The visual representation of motion posters was analyzed by dividing into 'Main Visual', 'Mode of Movement', 'Playtime' and 'Sound'. The analysis results were as follows. As motion posters are kind of movie posters, they are made from the original movie poster images, characters, or scenes of the movie. Graphical representations used either photo-realism or computer realism. The movement methods are 'simple movement of visual elements(movement, gesture and rotation, appear or disappear)+fixed camera movement' or' camera movement (zoom in/out, rotate, move) + fixed visual element movement'. Playback time ranged from about 10 seconds to over 1 minute of video, and the longer the video, the higher the probability of including sound.
Information on movement of objects in videos can be used as an important part in categorizing and separating the contents of a scene. This paper is proposing a shape-based movement-matching algorithm to effectively find the movement of an object in video streams. Information on object movement is extracted from the object boundaries from the input video frames becoming expressed in continuous 2D shape information while individual 2D shape information is converted into a lD shape feature using the shape descriptor. Object movement in video can be found as simply as searching for a word in a text without a separate movement segmentation process using the sequence of the shape descriptor listed according to order. The performance comparison results with the MPEG-7 shape variation descriptor showed that the proposed method can effectively express the movement information of the object and can be applied to movement search and analysis applications.
As we encounter the global and localized era, the development operations on a regional level are in active promotion. This manuscript has been completed with the purpose of probing for course of action in lifelong learning movement in terms of activating and developing of local communities. For this, the comparative analysis of practiced cases in America's community school movement, Japan's movement for establishing lifelong learning village and Sweden's study circle movement have been made. For the analytical frame of the comparison, the actual results on background of promotion, themes for practice, details of practice, methods for practice of local community centered lifelong learning movement have been applied. As a result of analysis, the local community centered lifelong learning movement has been promoted to break each country's social and economic crisis and to activate the local community. The promotion of each operation has been accomplished with the support of specific organization and the participants were the citizens of the local community. Also, the details of practice are composed of operating the people-centered lifelong learning program, cooperative learning by local citizens and local community realization activity. The details of education is closely related with the life of learners. Therefore, the lifelong movement for the activation of local community hereafter should be promoted based on the coherence of local community, should be able to contain the actual life of the citizens and should be practiced as a process of forming the lifelong learning group at concerned local community through a democratic learning process.

With the wide range of movement, the movement of neck accompanies the body surface change of neck and shoulders. And neck corresponds to the collar of garment, meaning that the body surface change of this part affects the construction of patterns for collars. So the purpose of this study was to manifest the changes of body surface in the neck and shoulder accompanied with the movement of the neck and to draw up the facts worth consideration when constructing the collar pattern. In this study, the draft of body surface of neck and shoulder was drawn up by gypsum method according to the 5 movements (standing at attention, neck bending - front, back, right, left). The length of body surface was measured and analyzed by ANOVA, post hoc test, correlation and regression analysis using SPSS 10.0 for Windows. The variation of the surface of neck was remarkable in the vertical lines than the horizontal ones. So the height of collar should be established considering the range of movement of the neck. It was the raising amount of c.f(center front) of neck and girth of neckbase (back) that were proved to have significantly varied after movement. With correlation analysis done, in every movement, the raising amount of side and the girth of neckbase had remarkably positive relation. The movement of the neck accompanied the variation of body surface in the shoulder as well. It was the part of scapula and side of neckbase that the variation was notable, suggesting that the surplus is needed in these parts.
Background: The wall squat exercise has been recommended for strengthening of the lower extremity muscles with maintaining lumbar lordosis. Although squat has been studied to be related to lower extremity extensor strength, the relationship between wall squat and lower extremity extensor strength unclear. Because squat and wall squat are biomechanically different, study on the relationship is needed. Objects: The purpose of this study was to determine the lower extremity extensor strength associated with wall squat performance. Methods: 74 healthy volunteers were recruited to participate in this study. The volunteers were measured hip and knee extensors strength and then performed wall squat exercise for maximum count. Results: We found significant relationships between wall squat performance and hip extensor strength normalized by body weight, knee extensor strength normalized by body weight and the composite value. In a regression analysis, hip extensor strength normalized by body weight explained 29% of the variation in wall squat performance in males and 35% in females. Conclusion: These results demonstrate that hip extensor strength normalized by body weight is critical to wall squat performance in both sexes.
