유연 구조물의 운동중 발생하는 진동의 해석 (Vibration Analysis of a Flexible Structure in a Motion)

  • An analysis method is suggested and experimentally studied in order to solve a vibration problem of a flexible structure while it is moving. In this method, substructure synthesis method, modal analysis method and Newmark's integral method were used. Total deformation of a structure was composed of quasistatic component and dynamic component. Rigid body modes were considered in calculation of dynamic component. Combining those two component, deformation behavior and a real structural model of a transfer feeder showed good agreements with computational results.

  • An efficient method is proposed for the design of six-bar function generators with complex design tasks. Especially, the desired functions are defined for the entire motion ranges of the input variables. The design problem is defined as a nonlinear optimization problem. A concept of a weighted structural error is introduced for the definition of the objective function. Also simple branch identifiers are incorporated to eliminate the branch problems commonly encountered in a typical linkage synthesis problem. Two example problems of designing a Watt-II type double dwell mechanism and a Stephenson-III type double beat-up mechanism are demonstrated with numerical results. Constraints such as on the Grashof conditions and on the transmission angles are included for practical solutions.

  • We improved a visualization system for a player's sequential forms called‘Multi-Motion’which has ever been used in NHK live broadcasting. It is to extract only the player's forms from background, and overlap them into one frame sequentially after fast performance for a vault game of gymnastics. It helps TV viewers understand the player's performing forms easily. We increased the performance of Multi-Motion by shortening the distance between the current frame and the reference frame, and the synthesis of the reference frame.

HI LINEWIDTHS, ROTATION VELOCITIES AND THE TULLY-FISHER RELATION

  • We determine the rotation velocities of 108 spiral and irregular galaxies (XV-Sample) from first-order rotation curves from position-velocity maps, based on short 21-cm observations with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT). To test the usual random motion corrections, we compare the global HI linewidths and the rotation velocities, obtained from kinematical fits to two-dimensional velocity fields for a sample of 28 galaxies (RC-Sample), and find that the most frequently used correction formulae (Tully & Fouque 1985) are not very satisfactory. The rotation velocity parameter (the random-motion corrected HI linewidth: W?), derived with these corrections, may be statistically equal to two times the true rotation velocity, but in individual cases the differences can be large. We analyse, for both RC- and XV-Samples, the dependence of the slope of, and scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation on the definition of the rotation velocity parameters- For the RC-Sample, we find that the scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation can be reduced considerably when the rotation velocities derived from rotation curves are used instead of the random-motion corrected global H I linewidths. No such reduction in the scatter is seen for XV-Sample. We conclude that the reduction of the scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation seems to be related to the use of two-dimensional velocity information: accurate rotation velocity and kinematical inclination.

3D 아바타 동작의 선택 제어를 통한 감정 표현 (Emotional Expression through the Selection Control of Gestures of a 3D Avatar)

  • In this paper, an intuitive emotional expression of the 3D avatar is presented. Using the motion selection control of 3D avatar, an easy-to-use communication which is more intuitive than emoticon is possible. 12 pieces different emotions of avatar are classified as positive emotions such as cheers, impressive, joy, welcoming, fun, pleasure and negative emotions of anger, jealousy, wrath, frustration, sadness, loneliness. The combination of lower body motion is used to represent additional emotions of amusing, joyous, surprise, enthusiasm, glad, excite, sulk, discomfort, irritation, embarrassment, anxiety, sorrow. In order to get the realistic human posture, BVH format of motion capture data are used and the synthesis of BVH file data are implemented by applying the proposed emotional expression rules of the 3D avatar.

  • 캐릭터 애니메이션 분야에서 목표 지향적 이동을 위해 원하는 궤적을 재현하는 것은 항상 어려운 과제이다. 생성 모델을 사용하는 데이터 기반 방법은 명시적인 조건 없이 긴 동작 시퀀스를 예측하는 효율적인 방법 중 하나이다. 이러한 방법은 고품질의 결과물을 생성해내지만, 멀리 있는 목표물을 무작위로 타격하는 것처럼 더 어려운 상황의 모션을 합성(synthesis)에 있어서는 제한될 수 있다. 하지만 이는 모션 데이터 클립을 모방하는 GAN Discriminator 를 사용하고 강화학습을 통해 해결할 수 있다. 본 연구는 캐릭터들이 GAN 기반 접근법과 리워드 설계를 통해 복싱을 구현하는 것을 목표로 한다. 논문에서 사용된 두 가지의 최신 연구인 Adversarial Motion Prior 와 Adversarial Skill Embedding 에 대해 비교실험하며, 또한 복싱을 경쟁 스포츠에 적용하기 위하여 멀티 에이전트 강화 학습을 위한 대규모 self-play 프레임워크인 TimeChamber 를 활용한다.

  • In this study, we suggest a tilt rotor aircraft and attempt to apply a nonlinear model matching control method for its maneuver. The proposed method is very simple and useful to construct the control law for the complicated nonlinear system such as aircraft motion.

  • The optimal-time control of the coordinated motion of two robot manipulators may be of consequence in the industrial automation. In this paper two robot manipulators garsping a common object are assumed to travel a specified Cartesian path and the method how to derive the optimal-time solution is explained. This approach is based on parameterizing the corresponding patn and utilizing the phase-plame technique in the trajectory planning. Also the torques supplied by the actuators are assumed to have some constant bounds. The effectiveness of this approach is demonstrated by a computer simulation using a PUMA 560 manipulator.

  • Modern tall buildings are subject to wind induced oscillations. Those oscillations can cause discomfort to the occupants. To control these motions, tuned mass dampers have been used. In this paper, component node synthesis, based on Lagrange multipliers formulation. is applied to the along-wind motion of tall buildings with multiple tuned mass dampers. Spectral densities of accelerations of top floor are compared by changing the numbers and locations of tuned mass dampers. It is found that multiple tuned mass dampers can be more effective than single tuned mass damper in reducing the acceleration response.

  • The feedback sources of oculomotor control system consist of three types of feedback path originating from retinal image displacement, in the proprioceptive fibers of the extraocular muscles, in the efference copy within the C.N.S. From above feedback loops, the retinal image feedback path is a main subject in this experiment. The electrical output of eye ball motion detecting with a photo-electric matrix method is fed into galvanometer through the external feedback path, and the stability was also examined.
