Effect of social support and self-efficacy in the relationship between Nursing work environment and Reality Shock in New Graduate Nurses (신규간호사의 간호근무환경과 현실충격과의 관계에서 사회적 지지 및 자기효능감의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of social support and self-efficacy on the relationship between the nursing work environment and reality shock among new graduate nurses. The participants were 260 nurses who had worked for less than 1 year at 3 general hospitals and 2 university hospitals, and who were examined from 15 June to 31 August 2015. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, simple regression analysis and moderated regression analysis with the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. In the results, the mean scores of the nursing work environment, reality shock, social support and self-efficacy were $3.06{\pm}.313$, $2.73{\pm}.401$, $3.90{\pm}.623$ and $3.73{\pm}.519$, respectively. Social support (F=16.744, p<.001) and self-efficacy (F=40.616, p<.001) had a direct influence on reality shock. Social support (F=7.743, p<.001) and self-efficacy (F=14.676, p<.001) also had a moderating effect on the relationship between nursing work environment and reality shock. Thus, we need to develop a preceptor education standardization and customized mentor program to enhance social support and self-efficacy, which can reduce new graduate nurses' reality shock in the nursing work environment.

A Meta-Analysis on the Effect of Batterer Intervention Programs (부부폭력 가해자프로그램의 효과에 대한 메타분석)

  • This study examined the overall effect size of the batterer intervention programs aimed at reducing violent behavior. This study calculated the 18 results and the 115 effect sizes of 11 theses published from 2000 to 2017 in Korea. It was demonstrated that the effect of an offender's program on the change in violent behavior was significant at both the practical and treatment level. The effect size was high in the order of control behavior, emotional violence, and physical violence. The effects of dependent variables other than violence were also researched. The batterer program positively changed the participant's attitudes in terms of sex-role and partner violence. Furthermore, it decreased the level of anger and depression, and enhanced self-esteem and communication skills thus increasing satisfaction in marital relationships. In addition, this study examined the factors that influence the effect of the offender's program in terms of the decrease of violent behavior. Upon analysis, it was examined that the moderating effect was great in the approach model and counsel form. More specifically, it was revealed that the feminist-cognitive behavioral models had a greater effect than the compromise model or single model. In terms of counsel forms, group counseling formed only of male offenders had greater effect than couples treatment group. Based on these findings, this study discussed the practical means for increasing the effect of batterer intervention programs.

A meta-analysis on the variables related to children's psychosocial maladjustment -from the eco-systemic perspective- (아동의 심리사회적 부적응 상관요인에 관한 메타분석 -생태체계적 접근-)

  • In this study, systematic review and meta-analysis were performed in order to identify the variables related to children's psychosocial maladjustment at the individual, family, school, and community levels from the eco-systemic perspective. A total of 36 research studies published in Korea from 1999 to 2016 were selected: 21 variables and 65 data regarding externalizing problems, and 22 variables and 70 data regarding internalizing problems were used in the final meta-analysis. As a result of the analysis, the biggest effect size concerning externalizing problems was as follows: stress coping, among child individual factors; family communication, among family factors; adoption to school, among school factors; and satisfaction for community welfare services, among community factors, respectively. On the other hand, the biggest effect size concerning internalizing problems was as follows: child temperament, among children individual factors; family relationships, among family factors; peer relationships, among school factors; and social support, among community factors, respectively. According to each system, the mean effect size was enumerated as individual > family > school/community in both externalizing and internalizing problems. We also presented the results of moderating effects regarding differences according to eco-systemic factors.

  • Recently, as cultural projects are being carried out in various ways, the interest in the space where culture and arts can be provided is also increasing. Therefore, this study selected and analyzed F1963 in Busan. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of brand asset factors of brand image, brand awareness, brand asset awareness, and loyalty on customer satisfaction and community development of brand asset in complex cultural space and to examine whether customer satisfaction has a mediating effect on the relationship between brand asset in complex cultural space and community development. As a result of the analysis, brand asset of complex cultural space had a positive effect on the satisfaction of users. Also, brand asset of complex cultural space has a positive effect on community development. The satisfaction that users get from the complex cultural space has a mediating effect on the influence of brand asset of the complex cultural space itself on the community development. The implications of this study suggest that complex cultural space plays an important role in the region, and it is necessary for local communities and local governments to brand complex cultural space through diversity of cultural and artistic activities.

A Study on Effects of Experiential Value of Hotel users for 5 Star Hotels on Usage Satisfaction and Continuous Usage Intention (특급호텔 이용객의 경험가치가 이용만족과 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향관계 연구)

  • To continue the growth of use of 5-star hotels by Koreans, who have recently shown the consumption trends pursuing the empirical value of a consumption process, and have turned into core customers of 5-star hotels in Seoul, it is necessary to study factors of experience value pursued by Koreans. As a result, fantasy is identified as a major leading factor in usage satisfaction among experiencial values. So it is important to reflect special concepts and atmospheres for emotional values, such as other world experience, new experience, and high-quality experience. And consumer return on investment was identified as a leading factor in positively affecting usage satisfaction. So it is important to develope a proper products that can enough benefits with reasonable prices. In the relationship between usage satisfaction and continuous usage intention, gender characteristics and occupational characteristics were found to play a moderating role. Male customers, and those with professional and self-employed occupations, were found to have higher continuous usage intention than females and other occupational customers. This is a result of the fact that customers with an economical power are likely to be continuous repeat customers of 5-star hotels, so the necessity of strengthening marketing activities such as research on the development of more differentiated and specialized products, service creation and atmosphere production for excellent consumers group.

Moderating effects of Income Smoothing on the relationship between managerial ability and manager compensation (경영자 능력과 경영자 보상의 관련성에 이익유연화가 미치는 조절효과)

  • A measure of managerial ability was derived using DEA, a measure of management efficiency, and the correlation coefficient between discretionary accrual and non-discretionary accrual, net income and operating cash flow standard deviation was used as a proxy for income smoothing. verified. In addition, the manager's compensation was used by taking the natural logarithm of the cash compensation per manager. The analysis results are summarized as follows. The analysis period for hypothesis testing is from 2004 to 2017, as a result of the hypothesis analysis of the correlation with the level of manager's compensation, it was suggested that the income smoothing behavior decreased the performance-based compensation and increased the performance-controlled compensation. This can be said to be the result of indirectly confirming that additional compensation is differentially paid for income smoothing. This study has a contribution to the study by empirically analyzing whether income smoothing affects the relationship between managerial ability and managerial compensation. However, although a number of previous studies empirically analyzed that there are upper and lower bounds for manager compensation, there is limitations that could not be analyzed for asymmetric compensation due to income smoothing is expected to expand.

An Empirical Study on the Relationship between the Capabilities and Sales Growth of Research-based Spin-off Companies (연구소기업의 역량과 매출성장 간의 관계에 관한 실증연구)

  • This study aims to analyze research-based spin-off companies, which are established in Innopolis to promote the commercialization of R&D outputs of public institutions. We analyzed 175 technology-based start-ups, which were founded before 2016, to examine how the companies' capabilities affect the sales growth rate. The results show that technological capability and entrepreneurial capability have positive relations with sales growth, while network capability and finance capability do not have significant associations. In addition, R&D intensity (R&D expenditure per employee) has moderating effects on the association between firm capabilities and sales growth rate since it strengthens the effect of technological capability and entrepreneurial capability but weakens the influence of network capability. This study contributes to widening the understanding of the importance of capabilities of research-based spin-off companies and their performance, and differs from most previous literature since it uses objective and quantitative data. It further suggests policy implications that the enhancement of technological and entrepreneurial capability are important for the stable growth of technology-based startups in the early stage.

The Effects of the Protean Career Attitude on Entrepreneurial Intention: Mediating Role Employability and Entrepreneurship & Moderating Role of Mentoring Experience (전문대학생의 프로티언 경력태도가 창업의도에 미치는 영향: 고용가능성과 기업가정신의 매개 및 실습경험의 조절효과)

  • This paper empirically analyzed whether or not professional college students' Protean career attitudes affect entrepreneurial intention through employability and entrepreneurship, and whether or not they have practical training experiences can make a difference in such influence. For this reason, a questionnaire survey was conducted on about 240 students at specialized universities in Seoul and the Gyeonggi province for one month beginning on June 1, 2018. Of the 220 collected questionnaires, 214 parts in total were selected for final analysis, except for the 6 parts of the answer sheet which were not sure if there was a missing value or not. The main findings are as follows. First, it has been confirmed that the professional career attitude of Protean has influenced employability and entrepreneurial intention, but has not directly influenced entrepreneurial intention. Secondly, it has been confirmed that the employability and entrepreneurship have have a positive influence on the entrepreneurial intention. Thirdly, it has been confirmed that employability and entrepreneurship play a role as a fully mediated role in the relationship between the attitude of the Protean career and the entrepreneurial intention. Fourthly, considering the characteristics of the vocational college, there is no difference in the influence of employability and entrepreneurship on the entrepreneurial intentions, but the influence of the protean career attitude on employability and entrepreneuriship was different depending on whether or not they had the practical training experiences. This study is to analyze the relationship between the protean career attitude and the entrepreneurial intention in the aspect of employment and entrepreneurial activation of young people.

Entrepreneurship Education and Entrepreneurial Intention: Fear to Start-up and Start-up Communities in Class (기업가 정신 교육과 창업 의도: 창업 실패에 대한 두려움, 창업 동아리를 중심으로)

  • Fear to start-up failures has been known to have a negative impact on entrepreneurial intention. This is one of the reasons why the government adopts a policy to help university students overcome their fear of start-ups. Setting educational goals to foster innovative and progressive entrepreneurs, universities have been conducting entrepreneurship education, but it is hard to say that constructive results have been achieved so far. Rather than adopting the practice of optional entrepreneurship education, there is a need to have all university freshmen mandatorily take the course of entrepreneurship education. This study aims to uncover the impact of more aggressive entrepreneurship education position in the university by analyzing empirical data. The relationship between an entrepreneurship level and entrepreneurial intention was tested, and start-up fear was also considered. In the research model, self-leadership and self-efficacy were included as regressors to entrepreneurship levels. Especially, this study tested moderate effects of start-up community during the course. The results from the sample of 2,500 freshmen indicate that entrepreneurship level is significantly improved by taking the course; however, fear to start-up failures remains still. In addition, empirical findings show that putting start-up communities in the entrepreneurship education helps students by moderating self-leadership and self-efficacy. This study extends our knowledge of entrepreneurship education in university by analyzing university freshmen data empirically.
