혁신제품 확산과정에 대한 저유량 모형 개발: 친환경 자동차를 대상으로 (Development of a Stock Flow Model on Diffusion Process of Innovative Goods: the Green Car Diffusion Case)

  • As global competition for green car, that is environmentally friendly car, is getting tougher, the governments and the related industries are putting their core efforts in its diffusion. However, the green car sales are disappointing so far. To overcome the gridlock, it is necessary to develop concrete analytical framework to understand the diffusion process. Based on causal loop analysis from the previous work, we have identified main variables and relationships of them in the diffusion process and developed a stock-flow diagram and mathematical formula for the main components. The model would be applied for further quantitative simulation on the diffusion process of green car and other innovative goods as well. Also, we have suggested constructive insights for the policy makers and for the related industries. First, it is important to increase consumers' willingness to consider through marketing and word of mouth to accelerate the diffusion process. Second, in the perspective of the industry, the market share of green car should be increased at the earliest possible stage and this could be done by enhancing each components of green car attractiveness(e.g. price, driving range, social infra). Third, companies should develop a balanced investment between consumer and technology sector through a flexible financial policy. Fourth, the government continuously has the role of investing in the related R&D and social infra building. We expect the green car diffusion model and related formula from the research can provide meaningful tools to analyze the diffusion process of other new and innovative goods based on its deep researched literature review.

Tuned mass dampers for human-induced vibration control of the Expo Culture Centre at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China

  • The Expo Culture Centre is one of the permanent buildings at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China. The main structure has an oval shape and consists of 36 radial cantilever steel trusses with different lengths and inner frames made of concrete-filled rectangular steel tube members. Tuned mass dampers are used to reduce the excessive vibrations of the sixth floor that are caused by human-induced resonance. A three-dimensional analytical model of the system is developed, and its main characteristics are established. A series of field tests are performed on the structure, and the test results show that the vertical vibration frequencies of most structural cantilevers are between 2.5 Hz and 3.5 Hz, which falls in the range of human-induced vibration. Twelve pairs of tuned mass dampers weighing 115 tons total were installed in the structure to suppress the vibration response of the system. These mass dampers were tuned to the vertical vibration frequency of the structure, which had the highest possibility of excitation. Test data obtained after the installation of the tuned mass dampers are used to evaluate their effectiveness for the reduction of the vibration acceleration. An analytical model of the structure is calibrated according to the measured dynamic characteristics. An analysis of the modified model is performed and the results show that when people walk normally, the structural vibration was low and the tuned mass dampers have no effect, but when people run at the structural vibration frequency, the tuned mass dampers can reduce the floor vibration acceleration by approximately 15%.

5층 철근콘크리트 중간모멘트골조의 반응수정계수에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Response Modification Factor for a 5-Story Reinforced Concrete IMRF)

  • 본 논문에서는 푸쉬오버해석을 통해 철근콘크리트 중간모멘트골조의 반응수정계수를 확인하기 위하여 5층 구조물을 KBC2009에 맞게 구조설계 하였다. 보 및 기둥 부재의 휨모멘트-곡률 관계는 화이버 모델로 확인하였으며 보-기둥 접합부 모멘트-회전각 관계는 Simple and Unified Joint Shear Behavior Model과 보-기둥 접합부 모멘트 평형관계를 이용하여 확인하였다. 푸쉬오버해석 결과 보-기둥 접합부 비탄성 전단거동을 무시하는 경우 구조물의 강도가 과대평가 되었다. 반응수정계수는 내진설계범주 C에 대하여 설계한 경우 평균 7.78, 내진설계범주 D에 대하여 설계한 경우 평균 3.64로 평가되었다.

Numerical analysis of channel connectors under fire and a comparison of performance with different types of shear connectors subjected to fire

  • The behavior of shear connectors plays a significant role in maintaining the required strength of a composite beam in normal and hazardous conditions. Various types of shear connectors are available and being utilized in the construction industry according to their use. Channel connectors are a suitable replacement for conventional shear connectors. These connectors have been tested under different types of loading at ambient temperature; however, the behavior of these connectors at elevated temperatures has not been studied. This investigation proposes a numerical analysis approach to estimate the behavior of channel connectors under fire and compare it with the numerical analysis performed in headed stud and Perfobond shear connectors subjected to fire. This paper first reviews the mechanism of various types of shear connectors and then proposes a non-linear thermo-mechanical finite element (FE) model of channel shear connectors embedded in high-strength concrete (HSC) subjected to fire. Initially, an accurate nonlinear FE model of the specimens tested at ambient temperature was developed to investigate the strength of the channel-type connectors embedded in an HSC slab. The outcomes were verified with the experimental study performed on the testing of channel connectors at ambient temperature by Shariati et al. (2012). The FE model at ambient temperature was extended to identify the behavior of channel connectors subjected to fire. A comparative study is performed to evaluate the performance of channel connectors against headed stud and Perfobond shear connectors. The channel connectors were found to be a more economical and easy-to-apply alternative to conventional shear connectors.

게임 교과목 교육을 위한 4PBL모델 제안 연구 (4PBL model proposal for education of Game Design)

  • 본 논문은 이론과 실기 교육, 학계와 산업계의 융합 교육을 지향하는 게임 교과목 교육의 효과적이고 체계적인 학습 방법론을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 교수자 중심 교육에서 학습자 중심 학습 환경으로 변화하고 있는 시대적 흐름을 반영하여 4PBL 모델을 제시하고자 한다. 4PBL 모델은 학습 접근 방식을 기반으로 하는 3P 모델과 문제기반학습(Problem based Learning) 방법론을 보강, 발전시킨 모델로 개인지(Personal based Learning), 문제기반학습(Problem based Learning), 프로젝트기반학습(Project based Learning), 실행기반학습(Performance based Learning)으로 구성된다. 본고에서는 구체적인 게임 교과목 교육 사례를 들어 각 단계별 PBL의 개념과 특징을 설명하였다. 이와 같은 시도는 변화하는 교육 패러다임 속에서 게임 기획과 개발에 대한 지식을 주체적으로 구조화할 수 있는 학습 환경을 제시할 수 있다는 점에서 유의미한 가치가 있다고 할 수 있다.

$CO_2$ 산계수를 이용한 일반 대기환경에서의 중성화진행예측 (Prediction of Carbonation Progress Using Diffusion Coefficient of $CO_2$ in the Atmosphere)

  • 일반적으로 일반대기중의 $CO_2$ 농도는 낮기 때문에 자연상태에서는 중성화정도는 매우 느리게 된다. 따라서 콘크리트의 중성화 정도를 평가하기 위해서는 일반적으로 진행속도를 빠르게 하기 위하여 촉진 시험조건하에서 진행하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문은 $CO_2$의 확산 및 $Ca(OH)_2$와의 반응을 바탕으로 한 수학적 모델을 통하여 일반대기환경하에서의 콘크리트 중성화 진행을 예측하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 촉진 중성화시험을 통하여 얻어진 실험치와 가장 유사한 $CO_2$ 확산계수를 채택하여 일반대기환경에서의 중성화진행을 예측하고자 하였다. 그 결과 $CO_2$ 확산계수를 이용한 수학적 모델을 통하여 마감재 종류에 관계없이 일반대기환경에서의 콘크리트 중성화진행속도를 예측할 수 있었다.

Effects of hygro-thermo-mechanical conditions on the buckling of FG sandwich plates resting on elastic foundations

  • In this research work, the hygrothermal and mechanical buckling responses of simply supported FG sandwich plate seated on Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundation are investigated using a novel shear deformation theory. The current model take into consideration the shear deformation effects and ensures the zero shear stresses on the free surfaces of the FG-sandwich plate without requiring the correction factors "Ks". The material properties of the faces sheets of the FG-sandwich plate are assumed varies as power law function "P-FGM" and the core is isotropic (purely ceramic). From the virtual work principle, the stability equations are deduced and resolved via Navier model. The hygrothermal effects are considered varies as a nonlinear, linear and uniform distribution across the thickness of the FG-sandwich plate. To check and confirm the accuracy of the current model, a several comparison has been made with other models found in the literature. The effects the temperature, moisture concentration, parameters of elastic foundation, side-to-thickness ratio, aspect ratio and the inhomogeneity parameter on the critical buckling of FG sandwich plates are also investigated.

Structural health rating (SHR)-oriented 3D multi-scale finite element modeling and analysis of Stonecutters Bridge

  • The Stonecutters Bridge (SCB) in Hong Kong is the third-longest cable-stayed bridge in the world with a main span stretching 1,018 m between two 298 m high single-leg tapering composite towers. A Wind and Structural Health Monitoring System (WASHMS) is being implemented on SCB by the Highways Department of The Hong Kong SAR Government, and the SCB-WASHMS is composed of more than 1,300 sensors in 15 types. In order to establish a linkage between structural health monitoring and maintenance management, a Structural Health Rating System (SHRS) with relevant rating tools and indices is devised. On the basis of a 3D space frame finite element model (FEM) of SCB and model updating, this paper presents the development of an SHR-oriented 3D multi-scale FEM for the purpose of load-resistance analysis and damage evaluation in structural element level, including modeling, refinement and validation of the multi-scale FEM. The refined 3D structural segments at deck and towers are established in critical segment positions corresponding to maximum cable forces. The components in the critical segment region are modeled as a full 3D FEM and fitted into the 3D space frame FEM. The boundary conditions between beam and shell elements are performed conforming to equivalent stiffness, effective mass and compatibility of deformation. The 3D multi-scale FEM is verified by the in-situ measured dynamic characteristics and static response. A good agreement between the FEM and measurement results indicates that the 3D multi-scale FEM is precise and efficient for WASHMS and SHRS of SCB. In addition, stress distribution and concentration of the critical segments in the 3D multi-scale FEM under temperature loads, static wind loads and equivalent seismic loads are investigated. Stress concentration elements under equivalent seismic loads exist in the anchor zone in steel/concrete beam and the anchor plate edge in steel anchor box of the towers.

철도 차륜 및 레일 진동 특성 해석을 통한 전동 소음 모델 연구 (Study on the Rolling Noise Model Using an Analysis of Wheel and Rail Vibration Characteristics)

  • 전동 소음은 철도의 주요한 소음 중 하나이며, 차륜과 레일의 음향 조도에 의해 차륜 및 레일이 진동하면서 발생한다. 이러한 전동 소음의 저감 대책을 수립하기 위해서는 관련 인자들의 영향을 파악할 수 있는 예측모델이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 차륜과 레일의 진동 특성을 이용해 전동 소음을 예측하기 위한 모델링에 관해 다루었다. 슬라브 도상 궤도에 대하여 1단 이산 탄성 지지 구조를 가진 보로 모델링 하였으며, 차륜 진동은 유한요소법을 이용한 수치해석을 적용하였다. 수직 및 수평방향 차륜-레일 집촉력들의 연성은 선형 Hertzian 접촉이론으로 모델링 하였고, 차륜과 레일의 진동 응답을 계산한 후 방사되는 소음을 예측하였다. 예측 모델의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 시험차량에 대해 전동 소음을 측정하였다. 예측치가 측정치와 잘 일치하였으며, 특히 전동 소음이 주요하게 기여하는 200~4000Hz 주파수 대역에서 유사한 경향으로 나타남을 확인하였다.

다중흐름모델을 적용한 기초과학정책 결정과정 분석 : 국제과학비즈니스벨트 사례 (Policy-making Process in Basic Science Adapting Multiple Streams Model : Case Study for International Science Business Belt)

  • 본 연구는 Kingdon(2013)과 Howlett et al.(2014)의 모델을 결합한 다중흐름모델의 수정모델을 적용하여 국제과학비즈니스벨트의 정책결정 과정을 분석하였다. 그 과정에서 어떠한 사회 정치적 요인들이 영향을 미쳤는지에 대해 알아보고 향후 기초과학 정책 결정과정에 도움이 될 수 있는 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 구체적인 분석은 정책결정 과정을 정책의제, 정책형성, 집행정책의 단계로 구분하고, 문제 과정 정책 정치의 흐름과 정책참여자 및 정책의 창을 변수로 활용하였다. 분석결과, 정책결정 과정에서 정치의 흐름과 정책선도자의 역할이 중요하게 작용하였고, 과학자 집단보다는 정치가들과 정부 관료들이 주도적으로 참여하였다.
