Synergistic effects of mixed solvents, especially with mixtures of CS$_2$ with electron donor solvents, in inducing desired structural changes in coals were studied by solvent swelling techniques in addition to differential scanning calorimetric analyses. Mixed solvents exhibit significant synergistic efficacy in swelling the coal structure of medium bituminous rank. This synergy effect appears to be physical origin that is closely related to matching solubility parameters. Since the swollen coal structure can be obtained by mixed solvents with CS$_2$ at room temperature instead of high temperature, many possible technological pathways for economical utilization of coal might be sought.

II-A isotherms and phase behaviors of 'tocomide', a newly synthesized 1,3-bis(N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-tocopherol succinylamino)-2-hydroxypropane, mixed with cholesterol and linoleic acid, was studied for its monolayer miscibility and a stable delivery formulation for antioxidant applications. The monolayer of tocomide and cholesterol was formed in a homogeneously mixed state at air-water interface. The ternary mixtures with linoleic acid showed various bulk structures, including a stable and transparent solution of thermodynamically stable lamellar phase. The lamellar structure was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and polarized microscopy such that pure tocomide formed a liquid crystal at room temperature with a lamellar periodicity of 36.7 $\AA$(2$\theta$=2.41$^{\circ}$).

본 논문에서는 2001년 경기도 양평 지역의 주민 880여명을 대상으로 반복측정되어 얻어진 혈압자료를 이용하여 반복요인이 세 개인 경우에 적절한 공분산구조를 선택하는 방법에 대해서 알아보고 혼합선형모형(mixed linear model)을 이용한 분석을 통해서 혈압에 영향을 주는 공변량(covariates)에 대해서 알아보았다.

Ion-molecule reactions of acetylene and mixed acetylene-ammonia cluster ions are studied using an electron impact time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The present results clearly demonstrate that $(C_2H_2)_n^+$ cluster ion distribution represents a distinct magic number of n=3. The mass spectroscopic evidence for the enhanced structural stabilities of $[C_6H_4{\cdot}(NH_3)_m]^+$ (m=0-8) ions is also found along with the detection of mixed cluster $[(C_2H_2)_n{\cdot}(NH_3)_m]^+$ ions, which gives insight into the feasible structure of solvated ions. This is rationalized on the basis of the structural stability for acetylene clusters and the dissociation dynamics of the complex ion under the presence of solvent molecules.

In many urban cities, mixed-use development is becoming increasingly essential for the creation of an attractive and sustainable environment that promotes economic vitality, social equity and environmental quality. Due to the differences in scale, scope and intent, certain aspects within the project delivery process of mixed-use are not the same as "conventional" single-use projects. The objective of this paper is to highlight these aspects. Two cases in Southeast Asia serve to illustrate the uniqueness and challenges of mixed-use. In conclusion, the differences between mixed-use and single-use are evident in terms of the diversity of team members, the necessity of multiple market analyses, and a multi-layer (versus single-source) financing structure. Finally, issues concerning ownership tangles, land assembly, planning and application procedures, investment criteria of institutions have been identified as major pitfalls.

This article introduces the structure of GCR-lightlike submanifolds of an indefinite Kaehler statistical manifold and derives their geometric properties. The characterizations on totally geodesic, mixed geodesic, D-geodesic and D'-geodesic GCR-lightlike submanifolds have also been obtained.

In the study We measured the MDC across lipidazobenzene monolayer system was the substrate. We discuss the cis-trans isomerization in Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films and examine the relationship between the structure of mixed LB films and the generation of MDCs due to photoisomerization. As results, mixed induce monolayer of view to memory and switching, it's own function by particles level think. Also, transmission results of stimulus signal it's form by current to appear.

This paper shows how to use continuation-ratio logits for the analysis of structured polytomous data. Here, response categories are considered to have a nested binary structure. Thus, conditionally nested binary random variables can be defined in each step. Two types of factors are considered as independent variables affecting response probabilities. For the purpose of analyzing categorical data with binary nested strutures a continuation-ratio mixed model is suggested. Estimation procedure for the unknown parameters in a suggested model is also discussed in detail by an example.

This paper deals with a mixed logit model for ordered polytomous data. There are two types of factors affecting the response varable in this paper. One is a fixed factor with finite quantitative levels and the other is a random factor coming from an experimental structure such as a randomized complete block design. It is discussed how to set up the model for analyzing ordered polytomous data and illustrated how to estimate the paramers in the given model.
