Silver Sol과 Silver Mirror Substrate를 이용한 Fluorescein의 SERS 연구 (SERS Study of Fluorescein Using the Silver Sol and Silver Mirror Substrates)

  • It has been recently reported that the SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering) effect of the silver mirror substrate made by Tollen's method is much superior to that of other substrates. In this study, the experiments for comparison of surface enhancement of silver sol and silver mirror substrates were done, where we checked the characteristics of silver mirror substrate made by Tollen's method. The surface enhancement of fluorescein was analyzed by silver sol and silver mirror substrates. We observed the SERS spectra of fluorescein. The assignments of the vibrational bands shown in SERS spectra are given based on both literature and the semi-empirical calculations at the PM3 methods. The surface enhancement properties for fluorescein showed that the silver mirror was more superior to sliver sol substrates. Spectra of fluorescein revealed that fluorescein was adsorbed on silver surfaces by a common oxygen atom. According to the 'surface selection rule', the vibrations in the band intensities reflect the adsorption orientation of the molecule on to the surface of SERS substrates. Therefore, we deduced that the adsorption orientation of fluorescein was little tilted perpendicular to the silver surfaces by using of the surface selection rules.

  • 최근 연구 자료에 의하면 Tollen의 방법을 이용하여 만들어진 silver mirror substrate의 SERS 효과가 다른 substrate에 비해 상당히 뛰어난 효과가 있다는 것으로 보고되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 silver mirror substrate의 특성을 알아보기 위하여 환원제의 종류, 시간 및 열처리에 따른 silver mirror substrate의 변화를 조사하였다. 또한 이러한 변화가 phenol red의 SERS 증강에 미치는 영향 및 흡착 배향과 어떠한 상관관계가 있는 지에 대해서 연구하였다.

Effect of Mirror Therapy on the Balance, Gait and Motor Function in Patients with Subacute Stroke

  • Purpose: This study examined whether mirror therapy could improve the balance, gait, and motor function of patients with subacute stroke. Methods: Thirty-three patients with subacute stroke were divided randomly into three groups: experimental group1, experimental group2, and the control group. The patients in experimental group1 performed a mirror therapy program on the unaffected side of the lower extremities, and the patients in experimental group2 performed mirror therapy on the affected side of the lower extremities. Both groups performed the exercise for 30 minutes per session, five times a week for four weeks. The control group did not receive mirror therapy. BBS, POMA, 10MWT, and the BRS were used to evaluate the balance, the quality of gait, gait speed, and the motor function before and after the intervention. Results: The gait speed increased significantly in the experimental groups1 and 2 after the intervention. The control group showed no significant difference in the gait speed after the intervention. The change in gait speed before and after the intervention showed a significant difference among the groups. Experimental group1 showed a significant increase in the gait speed compared to that of the control group. Conclusion: This study suggests that mirror therapy could be an effective intervention to improve the gait speed of patients with subacute stroke. On the other hand, there was no difference in the effectiveness of mirror therapy and therapeutic exercise on the balance, gait, and motor function.

용접접합부의 형상계측을 위한 주사형 시각센서의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of Visual Sensor Using Scanning Beam for Shape Recognition of Weld Joint.)

  • A visual sensor consisted of polygonal mirror, laser, and CCD camera was proposed to measure the distance to the weld joint for recognizing the joint shape. To scan the laser beam of the sensor onto an object, 8-facet polygonal mirror was used as the rotating mirror. By locating the laser and the camera at axi-symmetrical positions around the mirror, the synchronized-scan condition could be satisfied even when the mirror was set to rotate through one direction continuously, which could remove the inertia effect of the conventional oscillating-mirror methods. The mathematical modelling of the proposed sensor with the optical triangulation method made it possible to derive the relation between the position of an image on the camera and the one of a laser light on the object. Through the geometrical simulation of the proposed sensor with the principal of reflection and virtual image, the optical path of a laser light could be predicted. The position and direction of the CCD camera were determined based on the Scheimpflug's condition to fit the focus of any image reflected from an object within the field of view. The results of modelling and simulation revealed that the proposed visual sensor could be used to recognize the weld joint and its vicinity located within the range of the field of view and the resolution.   • 시변 자계를 이용하여 비접촉적인 방법으로 신경을 자극하기 위해서는 신경자극코일에 대용량 전류 펄스를 순시적으로 인가해야만 한다. 신경자극코일에 인가하는 전류 펄스의 주파수를 증가할수록 신경자극코일에 전력을 공급하는 전력공급기의 용량이 커지게 되고 신경자극코일에 발생하는 열량도 커지는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 완화하기 위해 새로운 형태의 신경자극코일을 제안하였다. 신경자극코일에 강자성체 구조물을 부착하여 자계 거울 효과를 내게 하면 신경자극코일의 효율이 증가하게 된다. 다양한 형태의 신경자극코일에 대해 자계 거울 효과를 유한요소법으로 분석하였고 몇 종류의 신경자극코일에 대해 실험한 결과를 제시하였다.

  • The measurement of absolute humidity of gases is essential in many industries. The effect of temperature on aluminum oxide and chilled mirror dew-point hygrometers is investigated. The temperature of laboratory, pipe line, and sensor is varied and the dew point is measured by two different aluminum oxide hygrometers. In all cases, the dew point of hygrometers is increased as the temperature is elevated. The reason behind this observation is due to desorption of water from the inside of pipe line and/or sensor surroundings at elevated temperature that result in the increase of the absolute humidity. Moreover, the sensor itself shows a certain degree of temperature dependency in sensing the humidity especially at low temperature. It is also studied that chilled mirror dew-point hygrometer may indicate a higher dew point than the reference at high temperature because the cooling capability of mirror is decreased at high temperature. Our study will provide evidences in the incorporation of the temperature effect as uncertainty factors in the standard calibration procedure for dew point hygrometers.

뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 한 거울치료의 효과와 신경학적 기전 (The Neurological Effect and Mechanism of Mirror Therapy in Adults With Stroke)

  • 본 연구에서는 거울치료가 뇌졸중 환자의 상지 운동기능 향상에 미치는 효과를 문헌고찰을 통해 알아보고 임상적 효용성을 확인하고자 하였다. 또한, 그간 밝혀진 정보를 종합하여 거울치료를 통해 발생하는 중재효과를 분석하고 거울치료의 신경학적 기전을 알아보고자 하였다. 거울치료는 뇌졸중 환자들의 손과 팔의 운동기능을 향상시키고, 일상생활 수행기능회복과 통증경감에 효과가 있다. 하지만 시각 무시에 대해서는 효과를 입증할 수 있는 근거가 아직 분명치 않다. 거울치료는 전운동영역의 신경학적 회복을 유도한다. 전운동영역은 운동 조절의 핵심적인 역할을 하는 부위로서 거울치료에 의해 활성화되면 손상된 일차운동영역의 활성도를 증가시켜 기능회복을 유발한다. 일차운동영역이 완전히 손상된 경우에는 신경 재조직화를 통해 일차운동영역의 기능을 전운동영역이나 보완운동영역이 대체하여 수행한다. 선행연구의 고찰 결과, 거울치료의 효과나 이에 대한 신경학적인 원인에 대한 증거가 아직 부족한 실정이었다. 거울치료의 효과와 신경학적 기전이 명확히 규명된다면 거울치료는 임상에서 보다 효용성 있는 치료로서 구축될 것이라 사료된다.

  • Optical disk drives read information by replacing a laser beam on the disk track. As information has become larger, the more accurate position control of a laser beam is necessary. In this paper, we report the analysis and fabrication of the micro mirror for optical disk drivers. The mirror was fabricated by using MEMS technology and it's characteristics investigated. Also, electrode structure for reducing squeeze effect was discussed.

  • 본 논문은 마운트의 형상 정밀도와 볼트의 체결력에 따라 마운트에 고정되는 반사경에 발생되는 응력과 변형량에 대해 연구하였다. 일반적인 반사광학계에 사용되는 고정밀 반사경은 볼트나 접착제로 마운트에 조립되는데 이러한 경우 볼트의 체결력과 접착제의 접착력으로 인해 발생하는 장력이 반사경면을 뒤틀리게 한다. 또한 반사경과 마운트를 조립한 후 반사경에 접촉되는 마운트의 표면 형상 정밀도에 따라 반사경면이 뒤틀려서 형상 정밀도가 변한다. 본 논문에서는 유한요소법을 이용한 구조 해석을 통해 반사경과 접촉되는 마운트의 형상 정밀도와 볼트의 체결력에 의해 고정밀 반사경의 반사경면에 발생되는 응력분포와 뒤틀림 변형량에 대해 연구하였다.

관찰 자극의 친숙도에 따른 뇌졸중 환자의 뮤리듬 변화 (The Change of Mu Rhythm according to Familiarity of Observation Stimulus in Stroke Patients)

  • Purpose : The aims of this study was to identify changes mu rhythm according to familiarity with a stimulus in people with stroke. Methods : Seventeen right-handed participants were asked to observe 2 different stimulus; a non-familiarity stimulus condition (NFSC), and a familiarity stimulus condition (FSC). Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals from electrodes on the participant's scalp were recorded during action observation. The activation of the mirror neuron system was compaired between FSC and NFSC by a paired t-test. An independent t-test was used to compare the difference between right and left hemispheres for the activation of the mirror neuron system during action observation of performing a task with the right hand. Results : The result of paired t-test showed no significantly difference between NFSC and FSC in the activation of the mirror neuron system. The Result of independent t-test also showed no significantly difference in the activation of mirror neuron system between the right and left hemispheres. Conclusion : The familiarity with a stimulus had no signigicant effect on the activation of the mirror neuron system according to the familiarity and in either the right or left hemispheres in people with chronic stroke.
