  • We analyzed and compared profiles of flavonols extracted from leaves and exocarps of the grape Kyoho by TLC, HPLC and UV spectrophotometry. In the exocarps, quercetin 3-O-glucoside was the main compound while isorhamnetin 3-O-glycoside (I) was present in minor amounts. In leaves, on the other hand, quercetin 3-O-glucoside and quercetin 3-O-glucoside-7-O-glucronide were the major compounds while isorhamnetin 3-O-glycoside (II) and kaempferol 3, 7-O-diglycoside were present in minor amounts.

  • The effects of sucrose, sodium chloride, and minor food materials on the rheological properties of Korean white gruel were investigated. As concentrations of sucrose and sodium chloride was increased, the yield stress was increased from 0.562 to 0.841, respectively. The pumpkin and snail drastically increased yield stress, but red bean showed no significant effect.

  • Yunnan(云南) province is located in southwest of China in which has four seasons and many historical remains. Twenty-six minor ethnics live in the Yunnan province which is known as a living folk museum. This is because they have preserved and developed their folk costume, artcraft, music and dance in their peculiar way with natural/cultural surroundings.(omitted)

  • The salivary gland consists of major and minor glands. The major glands are parotid, submandibular and sublingual glands. The numerous minor salivary glands are located in the mucosa of the upper aerodigestive tracts. Tumors of the salivary gland are relatively uncommon, and the incidence of the salivary gland tumor among the head and neck neoplasm is approximately 3%. Surgery is the primary treatment of choice for the most tumors of the salivary glands. Author reviewed the recent reports of salivary gland neoplasms of Korea and foreign institutes and suggest the guideline of managemnt of salivary gland tumors.

  • Sequential Numbering System(SNS) is one of the production and inventory management system, which is more effective and practical to minor enterprises than Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system or Just-in-Time(JIT) system. The purpose of the paper is the structured analysis of SNS as the first phase of software development. Data Flow Diagram(DFD), Data Dictionary(DD), and Mini-Specs are used to analyze the system through the second level. The result can be exploited to SNS software design and programming.

  • A linear neural unit with a modified anti-Hebbian learning rule has been shown to be able to optimally fit curves, surfaces, and hypersurfaces by adaptively extracting the minor component of the input data set. In this paper, we study how to use the robust version of this neural fitting method for linear regression analysis. Furthermore, we compare this method with other methods when data set is contaminated by outliers.

  • This paper describes the effects of varying the minor flow on particle collection efficiency and particle concentration in small cyclones. A cyclone haying a minor flow pumped out from its dust outlet is referred to as a virtual cyclone in this study although the terminology has been used for other types of devices (Torczynski and Rader, 1997). The virtual cyclones tested here have a rectangular inlet and circular outlet similar to the conventional cyclone. (omitted)
