Intramural dissection of the esophagus is rare esophageal disorder which has been seen predominantly in women in their seventh or eighth decade and presents as acute chest pain, accompanied by dysphagia. The etiology of this disorder remain uncertain and the diagnosis is made by esophageal endoscopy, contrast esophagography, or both. Patient with this disorder is best managed conservatively with nothing by mouth and intravenous hydration.

This study compared full-time housewives' propensity for TV home shopping addiction by different socioeconomic, psychological, and purchase-related characteristics. And it identified the factors that influenced full-time housewives' TV home shopping addiction. The data were obtained from a questionnaire completed by full-time housewives (n=225) lived in Seoul and were analyzed by t-tests, ANOVA, and a multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study were as follows: First, full-time housewives' propensity for TV home shopping addiction was higher in the relatively old aged group. Those who graduated from graduate schools had lower scores in the scale of TV shopping addiction. Also, middle income group showed higher propensity for addictive buying. Second, the propensity for TV home shopping addiction was higher among those who had low self-esteem, who had higher level of empty self Also, those who had experienced material compensations as a child showed higher propensity for addictive purchase. Third, the propensity for addictive buying in TV home shopping was higher among those who had higher propensity for materialism, who took a serious view of markers or friends. Those who abuse their credit cards were more likely to have TV home shopping addiction.

This study aimed to explore residents' perceptions towards Kangwon Land Casino. An on-site survey was conducted for residents in the casino communities using self-administered questionnaires. Completed questionnaires were obtained from 191 residents in the study area. A factor-clustering method identified four distinct segments: positive perceived impact residents (52.8%), negative perceived impact residents (11.3%), unconcerned residents (28.9%), and selectively perceived impact residents (6.9%). Results showed that women and younger residents are more likely to perceive positive impact with casino development. Men, middle-aged residents and farmers are more likely to perceive negative impact with casino development. White-collar business-class residents are more likely to perceive the impact selectively with casino development. We suggest that the stakeholders including public bodies on casino industry development boards share with local residents information on the economic benefits and other topics related to the casino business.

본 연구는 40~60세의 중년여성을 대상으로 뉴로피드백 실험군 17명, 두개천골요법 실험군 17명, 혼합요법 실험군 19명, 대조군에 18명 등 총 71명을, 2007년 10월 1일부터 12월 14일까지 11주 동안 뉴로피드백(이하 NF), 두개천골요법(이하 CST) 및 이 두 요법의 혼합요법(이하 MT)을 적용하여 중년기 여성의 피로와 스트레스 감소 및 뇌기능 향상과 MT군의 시너지효과를 검증하고자 시도한 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계인 유사 실험 연구이다. 그 결과 1)NF, CST 및 MT는 중년여성의 피로와 스트레스를 감소시키고 두뇌 활성화를 통한 뇌기능을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다. 2)전두엽의 활성화는 NF는 좌뇌를 CST는 우뇌를 활성화시켰다. 3)MT군은 두 군에 비하여 약간 더 효과가 있었다. 4)차시별 효과는 실험군 모두에서 10차시에서 유의한 증가를 보였다.

A benign metastasizing pulmonary leiomyomatosis(BMPL) is a rare and uncommon variety of leiomyoma. BML affects middle-aged women who had a previous hysterectomy due to a histologically benign appearing leiomyoma. BMPL is characterized by asymptomatic multiple smooth muscle nodules with a less aggressive course than a leiomyosarcoma. A 45-year-old woman who had a hysterectomy for a uterine leiomyoma 4 years prior to this study presented with multiple variable-sized lung nodule. A percutaneous needle biopsy confirmed the benign metastasizing pulmonary leiomyomatosis. Here, we present this case with a review of the relevant literatures.

Hemifacial spasm is a distressing condition characterized by involuntary, intermittent, unilateral twitching of all or parts of the muscles innervated by the facial nerve. This occurrence is most common in middle-aged women. Because etiology of idiopathic hemifacial spasm has remained undefined, no causative agent nor reliable treatment has been established. This report describes a case of CT guided chemical facial nerve block for the treatment of hemifacial spasm. An injection of small amount(0.1 ml) of alcohol(95%) provided relief of the facial spasms.

This study is based on the National Pension Research Institute's 2013 Korean Retirement and Income Study(KReIS) 5 Data for Parents and Children Care over 50 years old and analyzed the satisfaction level of life according to the characteristics of 226 people in society. The results showed that women were more satisfied with their lives than men, and when the age was lower, when they had spouses, and when they had independent economic power. As for the grandchildren caring provider, the higher the education levels, the higher the satisfaction with life. And across all areas, the grandchildren care provider showed greater satisfaction with life than the parents care provider. These results show that the burden of the parents' carers is as great as that. Suggestions based on these results are as follows. First, It is necessary to develop a health care program that can be easily accessed by family carers. Second, Direct economic support is needed, with the primary focus being on family carers. Third, services targeting parents care providers are needed. It is also necessary to form a network that can share the difficulties of parental care.

Purpose: This study was conducted to ascertain the effectiveness of forest healing therapy by analyzing researches on forest healing therapy applied to Korean adults and to confirm that forest healing therapy can be used as a therapeutic intervention program for elderly nursing or rehabilitation nursing. Methods: We searched 972 research papers on forest therapy applied to Korean adults. We reviewed appropriate 25 research papers with experimental design among them in the final analysis. Results: Forest healing therapy had physiological and psychosocial effects. First of all, it showed physiological effects to reduce stress index such as heart rate variation. Forest therapy also improved melatonin level in blood of middle-aged women with menopause and increased alpha wave in electroencephalogram and decreased lipid level and superoxide dismutase in blood. Second, forest healing therapy showed psychosocial effects to reduce depression and to improve mental health. But the effects appeared differently depending on the implementing type, period of forest healing therapy, and the professionalism of therapists. Therefore, if forest healing therapy would be applied to nursing, it should be based on its key principle, in other words, its principle of action-interaction-response of forest healing therapy. Conclusion: The results of this study could be used to develop a forest healing program as an intervention of nursing.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to estimate the wrinkle treatment effect of Miso Facial Acupuncture with the facial skin photographing system. Methods : Six middle-aged women with no diseases were recruited. Miso Facial Acupuncture, a total ten times was performed three times a week. The facial skin photograph of each participant was checked two times-pretreatment, posttreatment-using the facial skin photographing system. Both squares and counts of wrinkles in the facial 3 parts were measured for each one. Results : Both squares and counts of wrinkles were decreased on average. The improvement of lower eyelid were the best of all. And the wrinkles of outside of lip were reduced a little. Conclusions : in this study, we could evaluate the wrinkle treatment effects of Miso Facial Acupuncture by an objective and scientific method. Miso Facial Acupuncture has notable effect in wrinkle treatment. As though we had not wide experiences in this treatment, more researches are needed.

30-40대 중년 여성 100명을 대상으로 Brassiere착용 상황, 요구사항을 조사, 분석하고 시판 Brassiere의 착용실험을 통해 착용감을 평가함으로써 Brassiere에 대한 소비자 요구와 착용감 평가차원을 추출하였다. 주관적 착용감 평가실험은 25명이 참여 하였으며, 실험은 온도 28$^{\circ}C$, 습도 65%RH의 인공기후실에서 실시하였다. Brassiere 착용감의 구성차원을 추출하기 위해 평가용어를 이용하여 평정한 값들을 요인분석한 결과, fit성 및 체형보정성, 심미성, 압박감, 동작에 의한 브라의 착용위치 변화의 4가지 요인으로 이루어졌음을 확인하였다. Brassiere 착용감을 예측하기 위해 평가용어를 회귀변수로 하여 회귀분석한 결과, Y=3.262+0.723X$_1$-0.646X$_2$ (Y: 착용감, X$_1$: 가슴과 컵모양이 잘 맞는다, X$_2$: 와이어 부분이 불편하다)로 나타났다. Brassiere 착용감에 대한 소비자의 정성적인 요구사항을 정량적으로 측정하기 위한 제품 디자인 요소중, 와이어와 주소재의 신축성이 착용감에 중요하게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.
