새로운 산소-질소(N2O2)계 네 자리 리간드의 합성과 전이금속 착물 안정도상수에 대한 치환기 효과 (Synthesis of new N2O2 tetradentate ligands and the substituent effect on the stability constants of the transition metal complexes)

  • 새로운 산소-질소($N_2O_2$)계 네 자리 리간드 N,N'-bis(2-hydroxybenzyl)-ethylenediamine($H-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$)의 브롬산염을 합성하였다. 또한 $H-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$의 페놀기 5-위치에 치환기로 브롬, 염소, 메틸기 및 메톡시기를 가진 $Br-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$, $Cl-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$, $CH_3-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$$CH_3O-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$을 합성하였다. 그리고 페놀기 대신에 naphthalen-2-ol을 가진 $Nap-BHE{\cdot}2HBr$도 합성하였다. 합성된 리간드들의 양성자 해리는 수용액에서 전위차 적정한 결과 4 단계로 일어났으며, 계산된 각 리간드의 총괄 양성자 해리상수(${\log}{\beta}_p$) 값은 Br-BHE < Cl-BHE < H-BHE < Nap-BHE < $CH_3$-BHE < $CH_3O$-BHE의 순서로 Hammett 상수(${\sigma}_P$) 값의 순서와 비교적 같은 경향을 나타내었다. 전이금속(II) 이온들의 착물의 안정도상수(${\log}K_{ML}$) 값의 크기는 Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II) > Cd(II) > Pb(II)의 순서이었다. 또한 각 리간드들의 전이금속(II) 이온들의 착물 안정도상수(${\log}K_{ML}$) 값들의 크기 순서도 리간드의 총괄 양성자 해리상수(${\log}{\beta}_p$) 값과 서로 잘 일치하였다.

국내 알루미늄 노출실태 및 노출기준 개정 제안 (Proposals for Revising the Occupational Exposure Limits for Aluminum in Korea)

  • Objectives: This study was intended to investigate the revision status of the occupational exposure standards for aluminum at home and abroad; to investigate worker exposure at domestic aluminum manufacturing and handling workplaces; to conduct social and economic evaluation for the revision of domestic aluminum exposure limits. Methods: We investigated the current status of occupational exposure limits for aluminum at home and abroad, and analyzed supporting data. An exposure survey was conducted targeting domestic aluminum manufacturing and handling workplaces. Based on these, revised aluminum occupational exposure limits were proposed. Results: The major aluminum exposure limits at home and abroad show a notable difference. The toxicity of aluminum, which was revealed through animal experiments and epidemiological investigations. The average concentration of aluminum in the air at 12 workplaces was 0.016 mg/m3, and the maximum was 0.0776 mg/m3. When total dust and respiratory dust were measured side by side and simultaneously for the same process, 12.1% of the total mass concentration of aluminum dust was respiratory dust. As a result of measuring and comparing the size distribution of dust with an optical particle counter in real time, 48.1% of the total dust in the form of welding fume and pyro-powder was respiratory dust. Based on the literature review and workplace survey, three proposals for changing the aluminum exposure limit were proposed. Proposal (1): For all types, 10 mg/m3 is unified as the exposure limit except for soluble salts and alkyls. Proposal (2): 1(R) mg/m3 as the exposure limit for all forms except soluble salts and alkyl. Proposal (3): 1(R) mg/m3 for pyro-powder and welding fume, and 10 mg/m3 for metal dust, aluminum oxide, and insoluble compounds as exposure standards. A pyro-powder was defined as dry aluminum powder of 200 mesh size (74 ㎛) or smaller (larger size classified as metal dust). Reason for setting: In the workplace survey, the ratio of respiratory dust to total dust was analyzed to be about 1:10, so it was judged that the domestic standard and the ACGIH standard were compatible. Conclusions: In all scenarios according to the revision of the exposure standard, the B/C ratio was greater than 1 or only benefits existed, so it was evaluated as sufficiently reasonable as a result of the socio-economic evaluation.

金屬鹽의 原子核變換의 化學的 效果 (Chemical Effects of Nuclear Transformations in Metal Salts)

  • 크롬산염, 중크롬산염, 요오드산염 및 과요드산염의 중성자포획에 수반하는 크롬-51 및 요오드-128 반조 화학종의 분배를 거름종이 전기영동법으로 검토하였다. 유효반조에너지 및 내부전환의 관점에서 생각하면 중성자 포획원자가 초기분자중에 잔유하고 반조원자에너지가 결정의 적은 범위를 가열하며 소멸된다고 하기 어렵다. 그러나 거름종이 전기영동결과 더 많은 크롬-51 및 요오드-128 반조원자가 어미분자와 결합되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 잔류율의 관찰결과 반응 이론을 Disorder Model로 설명하였다. 양이온 반경이 클수록 2차 cage를 돌파하는 반조원자의 확율이 높다. 암모늄염중 암모늄이온은 disorder zone에서 환원작용을 하며 잔류율이 낮어졌다. 결정구조에서 자유공간이 크면 잔류율이 낮어졌다.

피리딘을 포함하는 여섯자리 $N_6$ 리간드와 전이금속 이온 착물의 안정도상수 (Stability Constants for Transition Metal ions of Hexadentate $N_6$ Ligands Containing Two Pyridyl Groups)

  • 두 개의 피리딘기를 포함하는 열린고리 형태의 여섯자리 질소계 리간드 1,15-bis(2-pyridyl)-2,6,10,14-tetraazapentadecane tetrahydroehloride (bpyped 4HCl)을 합성하고 원소분석, 적외선 분광법, 핵자기 공명법 및 질량 스펙트럼으로 분석하였다. 합성된 리간드의 산 해리상수($logK{^n}_H$)와 Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) 및 Zn(II) 에 대한 안정도 상수값을 수용액에서 전위차 적정법으로 구하였고, 이때 온도는 $25^{\circ}C$ 및 이온강도 0.10 M($KNO_3$)으로 고정시켰다. 지방족 아민의 질소 원자들 사이에 한 개 또는 두 개의 프로필기를 포함하는 bpyped와 유사한 리간드들의 지방족 아민 고리 길이 효과에 따른 산 해리 상수 및 전이금속(II)에 대한 안정도 상수 영향을 알아보았다.

Effect of $ZnCl_2$ on Formation of Carbonized Phenol Resin Anode

  • Lithium ion Battery(LIB)의 음극 활물질로써 리튬을 대체하기 위한 노력으로 phenol resin을 탄화시킨 탄소재료를 사용하였다. Phenol resin을 소성하면 축합반응을 일으키면서 탄화되어 무정형 탄소가 된다. 무정형 탄소는 층간거리가 넓어 리튬의 삽입과 탈리가 용이하지만 탄소간의 결합력이 약하여 구조적 붕괴가 일어난다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 세공형성제로서 $ZnCl_2$를 사용하였다. $ZnCl_2$는 생성된 물질에서 3차원적 망상구조로 성장하는 개방세공을 형성하는 세공형성제로서 뿐만 아니라, 벌크 첨가제가 도핑된 느슨한 구조를 형성하는 미세세공 형성제로서 작용하였다. SEM을 통해서 구조적 차이를 알 수 있었으며, XRD분석으로 층간의 거리를 알 수 있었다. CV측정을 통해 두 가지 샘플에 대한 산화와 환원 반응의 차이를 알아보았다.

금 증착 적외선 반사판의 반사율 및 수명에 미치는 제조공정 변수의 영향 (Influence of Manufacturing Conditions on the Reflectance and Life Time of the Gold Protected IR Mirror)

  • Infrared(IR) heating has many advantages, such as energy efficiency, reduced heating time, cleanliness, equipment compactness, high drying rate and easy automation. These features of IR heating provide widely industrial applications, such as surface heat treatment in semiconductor fabrication, thermoforming of polymers, drying and disinfection of food products, heating to metal forging, and drying of wet materials. In this study, the characteristics of a protected gold mirror were examined by spectrophotometer and the lifetime of the coating layers were evaluated by a cross-cutting method and salt spray test. The effects of manufacturing conditions on the protected gold mirror were seen and remedies for these effects were noted in order to improve the properties of the protected gold mirror in the drying process. The reflectance and lifetime of the protected gold mirror was influenced by manufacturing conditions, such as surface roughness and forming conditions of the anti-oxide layer, the adhesion layer, the reflecting layer and the protection layer. The results of this study showed that the protected gold mirror manufactured using a buffing method for pre-treatment resulted in the most effective reflectance. In addition, $Al_2O_3$ coating on an Al substrate as an anti-oxide layer was more effective than the anodizing process in the test of reflectance. Furthermore, the protected gold mirror manufactured by layers forming of various materials resulted in the most effective reflectance and lifetime when coated with $Al_2O_3$ as the anti-oxide layer, coated Cr as the adhesion layer, and coated $MgF_2$ as the protection layer.

PMF모델을 이용한 대기 중 PM-10 오염원의 정량적 기여도 추정 (Estimation of Quantitative Source Contribution of Ambient PM-10 Using the PMF Model)

  • In order to maintain and manage ambient air quality, it is necessary to identify sources and to apportion its sources for ambient particulate matters. The receptor methods were one of the statistical methods to achieve reasonable air pollution strategies. Also, receptor methods, a field of chemometrics, is based on manifold applied statistics and is a statistical methodology that analyzes the physicochemical properties of gaseous and particulate pollutant on various atmospheric receptors, identifies the sources of air pollutants, and quantifies the apportionment of the sources to the receptors. The objective of this study was 1) after obtaining results from the PMF modeling, the existing sources of air at the study area were qualitatively identified and the contributions of each source were quantitatively estimated as well. 2) finally efficient air pollution management and control strategies of each source were suggested. The PMF model was intensively applied to estimate the quantitative contribution of air pollution sources based on the chemical information (128 samples and 25 chemical species). Through a case study of the PMF modeling for the PM-10 aerosols, the total of 11 factors were determined. The multiple linear regression analysis between the observed PM-10 mass concentration and the estimated G matrix had been performed following the FPEAK test. Finally the regression analysis provided quantitative source contributions (scaled G matrix) and source profiles (scaled F matrix). The results of the PMF modeling showed that the sources were apportioned by secondary aerosol related source 28.8 %, soil related source 16.8%, waste incineration source 11.5%, field burning source 11.0%, fossil fuel combustion source 10%, industry related source 8.3%, motor vehicle source 7.9%, oil/coal combustion source 4.4%, non-ferrous metal source 0.3%. and aged sea- salt source 0.2%, respectively.

PMF 모델을 이용한 대기 중 PM-10 오염원의 확인 (Source Identification of Ambient PM-10 Using the PMF Model)

  • The objective of this study was to extensively estimate the air quality trends of the study area by surveying con-centration trends in months or seasons, after analyzing the mass concentration of PM-10 samples and the inorganic lements, ion, and total carbon in PM-10. Also, the study introduced to apply the PMF (Positive Matrix Factoriza-tion) model that is useful when absence of the source profile. Thus the model was thought to be suitable in Korea that often has few information about pollution sources. After obtaining results from the PMF modeling, the existing sources at the study area were qualitatively identified The PM-10 particles collected on quartz fiber filters by a PM-10 high-vol air sampler for 3 years (Mar. 1999∼Dec.2001) in Kyung Hee University. The 25 chemical species (Al, Mn, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Cd, Ba, Ce, Pb, Si, N $a^{#}$, N $H_4$$^{+}$, $K^{+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, C $l^{[-10]}$ , N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ , S $O_4$$^{2-}$, TC) were analyzed by ICP-AES, IC, and EA after executing proper pre - treatments of each sample filter. The PMF model was intensively applied to estimate the quantitative contribution of air pollution sources based on the chemical information (128 samples and 25 chemical species). Through a case study of the PMF modeling for the PM-10 aerosols. the total of 11 factors were determined. 퇴적물의 영양염류 용출과 호기적 조건과의 상관성 분석 (Correlation of Releases of Nutrient Salts in Sediment with Vicinal Oxic Conditions)

  • The aim of this paper is to correlate the release characteristics of marine and lake sediment with their vicinal oxic conditions. We performed lab-scale simulation experiments using field sediment and water in order to compare the release concentrations and the release rates one another. To provide a few different kinds of oxic environments we used natural air flow and some oxygen releasing compounds such as $CaO_2$ and $MgO_2$. In case of phosphates, in each oxic condition, removal of phosphorus via biological activity and that via salt precipitation with the metal ions lowered the release rates. The behavior of the nitrogen-origin salts seemed to greatly depend on the typical biological actions - growth of biomass, nitrification, and partial denitrification. Generally speaking, the control of releases of $NH_3$-N, $PO_4$-P, T-N and T-P was successful under the oxic conditions meanwhile COD, nitrates and nitrites were difficult to reduce the releases into the bulk water because of the considerable microbial oxidation. Based on typical diffusive mass transfer kinetics the changes of concentrations of the nutrients were computed for qualitative and quantitative comparisons.

  • 고체 고분자 전해질에 대한 연구는 1979년 wright와 Armand에 처음 시작된 이래로 지난 20여년간 연구가 계속적으로 지속되고 있다. 전지의 적용되기 위해 전해질이 갖추어야 할 조건중에 이온전도도가 상온에서 10-4 S/cm 이상의 전도도를 나타내야 하지만 지금까지 연구되고 있는 여러 고체 고분자 전해질은 이런 조건을 만족시키지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이런 상온에서의 이온 전도성을 향상시키기 위해 여러 종류의 실리카와 세라믹 계열의 첨가제를 첨가하여 이온전도성의 향상을 꾀하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 고체 고분자 전해질의 host polymer로써 분자량 400,000 의 Polyethylene oxide를 사용하였으며 Lithuim salt로는 Lithium (bisperfluroethylsulfonyl)imide(3M)를 기본적으로 사용하였다. 여기에 가소제의 역활로써 (3-cyanopropyl)methylsiloxane cyclics를 첨가하였고 표면그룹이 CH3와 OH기로 이루어진 기능성 나노 실리카를(<11nm)이용하여 함량별 전기 화학적 특성 및 기본 물성을 측정하였다. 기본적으로 이 네 가지 물질을 유기용매 Acetonitril에 잘 용해하여 Solid Casting방법으로 80-100 마이크로의 복합고분자 전해질을 제조하였다. Homogeneous하고 uniform한 필름 제조하기 위해 9$0^{\circ}C$에서 열처리를 24h 동안 실시하였다. 제조되어진 복합고분자전해질은 XRD를 통하여 결정성을 조사하였고 DSC를 이용하여 유리 전이온도 및 결정화도를 조사하였다. 복합고체고분자의 전기화학적 성질을 평가하기 위해 blocking electrode를 제작하여 임피던스 스펙트로 스코피를 이용하여 이온전도성을 측정하였다. 또한 복합 고분자 전해질의 온도의존성에 대해서도 조사하였다. 또한 실제 전지의 작동구간에서의 전해질의 안정성을 확인하기 위해 LSV를 측정하였고. Li metal을 사용하여 non-blocking electrode를 제작하여 복합고분자 전해질과의 계면저항을 측정하였다.
